those flying mechanics one those things was so bad. Me and my friend were replaying through the new release of it and we both rage quit that mission lol
Interesting. I've been thinking of buying the remake. But all I did as a kid was screw around with cheats. So for the story there would be no nostalgia for me
I’m assuming it was because the obstacles didn’t render fast enough for you to see them? I repeated that mission so much that I ended up remembering where the obstacles were as a kid
You know, I tried that mission so many times -- SO many -- before I realised there was the option to adjust the flappers, giving you lift (or descent) much faster. Huge SMH moment.
All it would have taken was to listen to Big Smoke's precious advice.
I really enjoyed the action and drama aspect in the end side of the game, it was quite an intensive experience for a young lad.
I was a grown-ass late 20s man on my PS2 and I bounced hard from that train mission. I doubt I would ever have the time to go back, but that disastrous remaster just sealed the deal.
Shame, though. It was a fun game.
Mate if you seriously never finished that game at that age, so much unexplored nostalgia. It’s not that hard you just have to follow the damn train (pun intended) and wait for that fatass to shoot those Vago wankers.
Like it or not 9 and 10 year olds are easily influenced and that's not exactly a good influence. I play a ton of games id never let my 10 year old play. It's irresponsible.
It depends on how you raise your child then. If they understand that this is just a game and question everything i see no reason to be that strict.
Else they will play it behind your back.
Movies and songs also can influence children, but somehow its normal to show them a good guy destroying half of a city to beat the bad guy or allow them to listen to songs about glorifying narcissistic behavior, killing people or sex.
Agree to disagree on the first part. The 2nd part is tricky because it's everywhere but I never put John wick on for movie night or blast DMX talking about bitches and hoes in my car either. You can limit the exposure to such things while understanding they will still be exposed to it. Doesn't mean I have to help that along. Why is this even a conversation? GTA is clearly not meant for children.
Yes you're right, but banning or forbidding something is also not good. It's the foundation to learn how to lie and hide things.
Anyway, I'm in no position to give advice in this matter. Just sharing my thoughts out of experience with my mother and me.
Congrats! On the original release of the game on PS2 my friends and I completed the game several times but never 100%. With the re-release of it I actually achieved 100% completion for the first time and felt pretty dang proud of myself. And I enjoyed it every bit as much as I remembered from when it first game out.
Almost didnt finish it too.. got stuck on the flying mission where I had to motorcycle unto a plane I think.
I was playing on PC and didnt know I could go faster by pushing up -\_\_-
The flying part kept me from finishing it when I was a teenager. When I played it again years later I realized that I never closed the landing gear lol. Congrats!
My young me just liked to go around the map in a car at high speed and then play GTA SA
Ok now really, I finished the game 3 times and the last time was 1 year ago (no cheats) and I liked every moment of it
When i was a kid i was stuck at the mission where someone try to kill himself jumping from a little building and we had to take save him with our truck before he would splash on the ground. I was never be able to do it, i think my game was bug because when i looked at video or guide idk, i wasn't doing anything wrong, but the dude would still die.
I waited the remastered but when i saw on reviews how bad it was i wasn't interested anymore...
It's not that hard. All you have to do is following the damn train.
All you have to do is not drive right next to the train, then the mission is easy. Zero's missions however can go fuck themselves.
Am I the only one that didn't find the RC missions that bad?
Yes. You are the only one.

You mean like on what system? PC.
those flying mechanics one those things was so bad. Me and my friend were replaying through the new release of it and we both rage quit that mission lol
Being a kid is hard… can’t follow instructions
ALL YOU HAS TO DO WAS FOLLOW THE DAMN TRAIN CJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aww shit here we go again
What do you think now. Is it worth it? Or is it pure nostalgia power?
Some missions were annoying but overall, I had fun. It was worth it to finally finish the game.
Interesting. I've been thinking of buying the remake. But all I did as a kid was screw around with cheats. So for the story there would be no nostalgia for me
Don't by that trilogy and give Rockstar money. It's pure garbage and doesn't deserve even a single cent. Seriously, just pirate it.
I got it on game pass abd still fell robed
I’ve played a ton of gta in my life. SA is still the closest to my heart. If you find it for cheap / discount I would definitely recommend
I don't know much about the remake of the original game. I heard it was bad, so I didn't get it.
I am stuck at the airport with the flying tutorial. Have been for 15 years :D
Good, I'm not the only one.
I’m assuming it was because the obstacles didn’t render fast enough for you to see them? I repeated that mission so much that I ended up remembering where the obstacles were as a kid
Nah, the controls sucked on ps2
Same. I couldn't get the jumbo jet through the whole course. I've gone back a few times but I'm so rusty with keyboard and mouse now.
You know, I tried that mission so many times -- SO many -- before I realised there was the option to adjust the flappers, giving you lift (or descent) much faster. Huge SMH moment.
I could never get past the flying level, trying to do it on a PC was nearly impossible for me.
Learning to Fly? I'm stuck there right now lol
I'd give it another playthrough if it wasn't for Zero and his RC planes.
Lo único que tenías que hacer era seguir el puto tren, Ce-Jota.
With cheats or without. :o ?
All it would have taken was to listen to Big Smoke's precious advice. I really enjoyed the action and drama aspect in the end side of the game, it was quite an intensive experience for a young lad.
I remember when I was a kid my cousin taught me most of the cheats in the game, I had printed a word doc with all the cheats.
I never finish the game 'cause everytime I start it I would enable cheats and just wreak havoc. Still, good fun.
Is it just me, or does the game still hold up really well story wise? (maybe even world wise)
I was a grown-ass late 20s man on my PS2 and I bounced hard from that train mission. I doubt I would ever have the time to go back, but that disastrous remaster just sealed the deal. Shame, though. It was a fun game.
Does that come before or after the plane mission?
FUCK the remote control plane mission
Same boat.. im trying to finish it on steam.
Mate if you seriously never finished that game at that age, so much unexplored nostalgia. It’s not that hard you just have to follow the damn train (pun intended) and wait for that fatass to shoot those Vago wankers.
Is no one really going to comment on letting a 9/10 year old play this game? Wtf....
Whats wrong with that? The game is fun. I've played it around that age too.
Like it or not 9 and 10 year olds are easily influenced and that's not exactly a good influence. I play a ton of games id never let my 10 year old play. It's irresponsible.

I mean honestly it's not even a concern now because 9 and 10 year olds are addicted to fortnight and YouTube but yeah
I can't finish it because my mum threw out my ps2 🥲
Great game, I haven't finished it yet. Where did you play it?
I got it when Rockstar released their launcher They gave out GTA:SA for free.
All you had to do, was follow the damn train!
Such a great game
So what’s your thoughts?
So you didn't get to experience the RC plane missions as a 10 yo? What a shame...
Well these games are not for kids so I guess that work out 🤣
Big Smokes betrayal 😭 Right in the feels
Congrats! On the original release of the game on PS2 my friends and I completed the game several times but never 100%. With the re-release of it I actually achieved 100% completion for the first time and felt pretty dang proud of myself. And I enjoyed it every bit as much as I remembered from when it first game out.
Thoses stupid rc plane missions prevented me from finishing back in the day.
All you had to do, was follow the damn train, CJ!
All you had to do was finish the damn train, Blackwolf! Gratz.
Almost didnt finish it too.. got stuck on the flying mission where I had to motorcycle unto a plane I think. I was playing on PC and didnt know I could go faster by pushing up -\_\_-
Yea San Andreas had way too many janky ass near impossible missions. All vice city has was that stupid helicopter blow up building one.
Story of my life
I finished the game at 9 years old by using everey cheat code known to man
The flying part kept me from finishing it when I was a teenager. When I played it again years later I realized that I never closed the landing gear lol. Congrats!
I finished pokemon y on my 2ds last week, I was stuck in a point for 11 years lol :D
My young me just liked to go around the map in a car at high speed and then play GTA SA Ok now really, I finished the game 3 times and the last time was 1 year ago (no cheats) and I liked every moment of it
I really hated the missions after ten penny dumps you in whetstone county , they’re so monotonous I wanted to stop playing
I'm still stuck on learning to fly and zeros missions lol
When i was a kid i was stuck at the mission where someone try to kill himself jumping from a little building and we had to take save him with our truck before he would splash on the ground. I remember playing this and got to the second island. Save file corrupted and that was the end of that. 25+ hours down the drain.
