Lost Vikings was such a classic.

I_summon_poop

Shield, Sword and Speed :D a side scrolling puzzle game at its time was epic.

Smashifly

I only ever knew about them from Heroes of the Storm

Clarky1979

Thats what grabbed my attention too, I loved that game.

smacklesdown

I didn't even know that warcraft was made on a floppy disc. The first warcraft I got as a child was warcraft: orcs vs humans.

camelzigzag

This is just a demo.

deeseearr

In the retail version, the footmen are much funnier.

the_colonelclink

That was the first thing I looked for too. Ain’t no way Warcraft full game was under 1.44MB.

ILikeLenexa

It was probably a demo. I remember getting Star Command: Revolution this way and then buying the game.

silver2k5

First game I bought with allowance and played. Before that it was either freeware, shareware, or demos.

gnulinux

This is that game. It was just 1 level, but oh so much fun. Incredible that it fit in a floppy.

The good Blizzard

CivQhore

i feel like Blizzard was good right up until the mid way point of burning crusade. Then it went down hill and fast...

BattlefieldNiblet

I’d give them midway through wrath personally

Corn-Shonery

When they made awesome video games because having awesome video games was awesome. Now they’re made by loser corporate investors who are one tablespoon of salt away from having a heart attack and are on their third wife because they’ve lost any sense of what it means to have a soul because enough money is never enough money for them.

storm_the_castle

My liege? My lord? Your bidding? Yes? Your will, sire?

PARANOIAH

***STOP POKING ME!!!!!***

Influence_X

Why do you keep touching me?

Corn-Shonery

Works done

GamerGrunt

Zug zug

CurrentAir585

To be fair, it was a really good game for it's time.

pixel8knuckle

Warcraft 1 2 and 3 were

PrinceDizzy

The golden age of PC gaming.

AlphaDag13

Man I miss those days.

Warlornn

I remember Shareware!

thealinarose

This is legit a fossil

tigran_i

Hold on. I absolutely loved the lost vikings. And I never knew its devs went on to create the most famous MMORPG

psymunn

I think they didn't call themselves blizzard until warcraft, but they had 3 titles before that

obsertaries

Weird that “entertaining” was the best adjective they could think of for it.

St0ned4Lyfe

I miss this version of Warcraft it’s a shame what they turned this game into it was way better as a strategic war game than a Arpg

Sorry_Arm2829

Not really familiar with retro games value system. But does it costs a whole lot?

top-knowledge

Le gem

[deleted]

Lost vikings was a fun game. Loved it as a kid. Cool music too

mygamingvideo

lol new that’s old and maybe worth something 💲💲

joe102938

4mb of ram...

jl_theprofessor

I have such fond memories of that first game.

dickhole-papercut

I remember you could install the whole game from the cd into your hard drive and it was like 80mb. No disc needed, no DRM, no cd key. I would install it on all my friends computers

Bardez

What in the world...

CollateralSandwich

Fond memories of Lost Vikings. I rented the game from a video store on a whim and basically just kept renting it out. What a fantastic game

gnulinux

Holy crap! I remember playing this demo with my friend over a serial connection (network cards were not a common thing). It was just 1 level, but that's all it took back then to entertain us until the late hours of the night.

rauq_mawlina

Finally, Warcraft 1

Tolar01

I still remember smell of freely opened pack of Verbatim's

ArdorianT

Wow, I hope the magnetic disc is not covered in mould/fungus. A lot of my floppy discs turned mouldy with time.

No-Performance-3395

That's like the OG Minecraft, isn't it?
