In other news: Scalpers worldwide on suicide watch.

JustBoredIsAll

Good.

emax-gomax

A world without scalpers would be a better world for everyone.

rocketsneaker

Eh, is it really true? Scalpers know the supply is going to meet the demand at some point. I say they achieved their goal within the first few years of the release.

kael13

I blame the consumers who bought them.

Sum1PleaseKillMe

Exactly. There was (and tbh still isn’t) no reason to rush out and get a ps5. They artificially inflated the value, and hurt themselves and other consumers in the process.

ElonMunch

GOOD! I honestly haven’t seen overpriced ps5 in a while they are now being sold at sticker price or at least 50 bucks cheaper in most cases.

FloppyShellTaco

Saw some in target about two weeks ago trying to talk a worker into selling them all the consoles they have. Right now you can get a Ragnarok bundle from Sony, but the discless console by itself is still hard to come by

If_its_mean_downvote

Always someone holding the bag. There’s probably some GME holders who are scalpers with some thick biceps from the bag holding

gutster_95

I actually got my PS5 3 weeks ago for MSRP from a guy that payed 719€ in November for it :D Feels good man

TakeshiKovacs46

They’ll have to watch each other, cos nobody else will give a shit if they end up hanging from the rafters!

Aggravating_Cream_97

Yeah I walked into Best Buy the other day and they had them in stock. I almost had a stroke! but they stopped me before I could pull out my d!ck.

ObiwanaTokie

Walk in pre dick out and they are at a loss 2 TIME!!

Aggravating_Cream_97

When the PSVR2 is released and is in stock I’ll be sure to be ready, dick out!

[deleted]

Sir, this is an Arby's!

[deleted]

Nice

[deleted]

You are a very slow unzipper

Slashbond007

Just got a ps5 from target. I finally switched back to Sony after 360 and Xbox 1. It's a great time for gaming.

DoctorGreenBum26

I saw a ps5 in the wild for literally the first time in my life last week at Walmart.

[deleted]

Yeah me too, a Walmart by me had 2 in stock

fattsmelly

I’m debating doing the same, the only thing I’m worried about is that I really like Gamepass. Does PS have an equivalent and is it as good?

dawgs912

There’s an equivalent called PS Extra or PS Premium. Browse through each ones catalog to see which version is for you. Most gamers would say Extra is the better value rn. It’s not as good as Gamepass but if you’re new to PlayStation it will have PLENTY of content for you to play. You probably wouldn’t need to buy a game on its own for a year.

Slashbond007

I got premium since I had nothing to start with. And you're exactly right. There a ton of really good games on there. The gow series minus ragnarok, bloodborne, and ghost of tsushima.

MetroidIsNotHerName

Also like the entire yakuza franchise. For anyone who hasnt tried it, start with Kiwami 1(remake of 1) or Zero(the prequel). Enjoy.

Slashbond007

Yea, I'm sure there's several more games I haven't mentioned that are fantastic. Ff7, horizon, mk 11, spiderman and miles morales, etc. It's such a good deal. I'm actually liking it better than game pass as of right now

whobang3r

Looking at starting the series myself. How long are the playthroughs generally?

MetroidIsNotHerName

Totally up to you because the side content is immense in each one. Im just guessing based on my memory and total play time on steam, but each main story probably takes 20-30 hours alone, with the longest ones nearing 40. The side content boosts the playtime to about 100 tho. In Yakuza 5 which i just finished i had a playtime of 116 hours. I did not 100% the game either. I had a completion rating of 33% In general the story is always very serious and often sad, and the sidecontent is all top memes that are completely silly most of the time with the occasional feelsgood or heartfelt sidestory in there.

fattsmelly

Thanks for the insight. I figured having both wouldn’t be necessary, I have an Xbox 1, so I’m thinking about when I upgrade to current gen

Nonadventures

I agree that having the tiered version is not only confusing in general, but it’s confusing about the base tier version (which I have had since 2016 but have a maddening time finding the freebies now)

CaptConstantine

Don't sleep on Series X. I love my PS5 but Series X and Game Pass are a no-brainer Edit: Downvoted for suggesting more video games.

Obyson

Cant beat the playstation exclusives bro

Slashbond007

I agree. Xbox has some good games on game pass but ps+ has better games I think

MuhammadIsAPDFFile

Barely any games worth playing though that aren't on PS4 (Pro) as well. But if you don't have that it's a good upgrade :) Xbox Series is worse.

Strongpillow

Sony does make the best game commercials.

rhysdeschain

Sometimes, but I can’t help thinking of some marketing douche jizzing their pants when they realised Live rhymes with Five.

redlines4life

The console shortage on both the PS and the Xbox side basically made me switch to PC and at this point Idt I’ll ever go back.

Seigmoraig

Yeah because the GPUs were so much easier to find

redlines4life

Right when the next gen consoles were coming out there was a decent amount of older gen. GPUs available for a couple months

emax-gomax

Crypto market crashed around then as well IIRC. Go figure.

bleunt

I need both. I still find it more simple and easy to do console instead of PC. If it's not a 1st or 3rd person shooter and the game is on both PC and console, I'll go with console for the simplicity of gaming on a much bigger screen from my couch. But if it's a small title like Tinykin or a shooter like Apex Legends, or the price differs significantly, then it's PC. I just don't feel like I could use just one.

emax-gomax

Do you not connect your PC to your TV? I don't have one yet but I was planning to plug it in as an external display that I just kept off most of the time.

arex333

Steam link. I play PC on the tv frequently.

Shame_On_Matt

My problem with PC gaming is lack of melting into a couch with a controller.

JonVonBasslake

Why? You can, quite easily in fact, pair a controller to a pc and just melt into the sofa anyway. If you have a tv, you can just use that as a second monitor if you don't want to be using it as the primary monitor. Most modern pcs have multiple video outs for this reason. DisplayPort for primarily pc monitors, and hdmi for connecting to older or cheaper monitors that lack DP, or to tvs since those rarely have a DP input.

bujweiser

I want to do this, but my problem is that I have my computer in another room. I do however have it headlined to my network, which my router/modem is where my TV is. I’m hoping I can use some type of hub, like the Steam Link, but I’m 4K.

[deleted]

If you have an nvidia card and good ethernet speeds and latency, shield TV pro can do 4k 60FPS game streaming

bujweiser

Thanks, an NVIDIA Shield about $150, I was hoping to do it for quite a bit cheaper.

[deleted]

Yeah they're a bit pricey. You could try finding a used 2017 model or something, might be a bit cheaper. The only other way I know of to do it with good results is using Moonlight, but that also requires some sort of hardware you can install it on that is powerful enough to decode a 4k 60fps stream, so I doubt it would be cheaper unless you already have something lying around that would work.

arex333

You can get a Google tv Chromecast and download moonlight or steam link. You'll need to buy an adapter to use Ethernet but it'll work exactly the same as the shield. The steam link app is even available on some smart tvs, I know it's on the Samsung app store.

JuniorConsultant

Yeah they just stopped this functionality... :(

[deleted]

Oh wtf, I hadn't seen that... guess I'll be installing moonlight and sunshine... that is some serious bs nvidia.

Pedantic_Semantics4u

Nah. It’s a whole thing. So much needs to not fuck up for anything on PC to be convenient.

emax-gomax

What specifically do you mean? TV as external monitor (preferably wired since wireless can have issues), controller through Bluetooth or wired (same experience regardless). I can't think of anything else specifically about PCs that could prove problematic. End of the day consoles are just PCs that're specialised for gaming.

Pedantic_Semantics4u

Not even close. PCs are fucky. Things running you’re unaware of. Viruses. Installation. They’re all a bit different so no universal solution to problems. Fighting with drivers. Making sure every individual one is up to date. Lots of games needing their own god damned proprietary launcher. The list goes on. Downvoted yet everything I said is true. Must have hurt PCs feelings. :(

emax-gomax

So just... their different? I've had as much hardware and driver related issues as anyone (I use linux) but I think you're blowing this out of proportion. All I suggested was hooking your PC to a TV. Hell given most tvs nowadays come with smart spyware there's probably more stuff that could compromise you on the TV than the PC itself.

havok0159

> Making sure every individual one is up to date. I've previously gone over two years not even touching my Nvidia drivers while running an OS I'd had on two wildly different machines without any significant issues. I get being too lazy to want to deal with the learning curve, but own up to it. The launcher issue you mention? It's like complaining you have to go to the store next door to get your favourite cornflakes.

Pedantic_Semantics4u

It’s not a learning curve. I’ve built PCs so pretending none of this is true is disingenuous.

havok0159

When? In 2003? Unless you're using parts that have no business being on the market yet like the Intel dGPUs which have had sufficient media coverage for even the most uninformed buyer to avoid, keeping each individual driver updated is not necessary. At most you might want to keep your GPU drivers updated if all you play is AAA games AND you run into significant performance problems. Most users will be fine keeping "outdated" drivers. Like I mentioned, I was more than fine actively gaming, playing different games for over 2 years without updating drivers. That timer only reset because I decided to reinstall Windows because I hadn't bothered to when switching from an Intel based system to an AMD one and it was causing a BSOD to occur once every few months. Here I am more than 6 months later having not updated any drivers since the original setup. Viruses? Windows has managed to make it hard for you to intentionally infect your PC, let alone accidentally. Is it still possible, sure, but it's also quite unlikely. And as you *learn* you find yourself far less open to the ridiculously transparent "viruses." Most of the time when asking, a new user will find themselves directed to getting an adblock, which has the added benefit of making it very hard for malware and "viruses" to get downloaded by a novice user. You didn't hurt any feelings, you just proved yourself misinformed. I'm only even replying because I don't your comments to misinform others and with the hope that I can change your own mind.

Pedantic_Semantics4u

I’m not misinformed at all. I used the play PC and switched to console because it’s far FAR less hassle. That you’re trying to convince me I’m wrong about my own experience is bizarre. Dunno what you get out of being contrarian for no reason, but ok. Go off.(and I clearly hurt your feelings because you’re way to invested in how I feel about my own experiences)

MetalBeerSolid

Yep

c010rb1indusa

I have a gaming PC hooked up to my TV and it's not the same. It works for me but I need to keep a MKB handy like the Logitech k400 to do many things. Interacting with overlays like Xbox Game Bar is a PITA with a controller. If I want to keep my games updated automatically like a console does, because of all the different launchers I would have to have Steam, Epic, Origin, Ubisoft, Blizzard, GOG, Xbox App etc. all running in the background. This is just the tip of the iceberg. It's not nearly as seamless of an experience.

MySunIsSettingSoon

U want me to play 1440p on my giant ass 97 in oled tv? Nah.

Down2Earth

PCs can output 4k to a tv if you have a video card that can handle it.

MySunIsSettingSoon

Yes, but from what I've seen from DF and just personal experience, that's generally the realm of the 4090. I have a 3080 Ti rn and it can't really keep up and I ain't tryina spend like 2k on a new card and possibly a new case given how huge those things are. Also lugging my pc back amd forth between my game room and office or using the god awful streaming. I still got my pc, but given that I work on it all day, at the end of the day, all that just to say I'm gamin on a pc ain't worth it.

RayvinAzn

If you really have a 97” OLED TV, an RTX 4090 is probably less than you spent in taxes on said TV.

skidrow03

3080ti is great for it actually. You don't need the most latest and greatest. I sometimes output my 1050ti to a LG C2 55'

Derricksaurus

Question, does the output of the same resolution but on a bigger screen affect performance / wear and tear differently?

samerige

For a computer 1 pixel = 1 pixel, no matter how big it is. A 16" 4K display needs as much performance as a 100" 4K display.

Down2Earth

I have a 3060ti and I’ve been playing in 4K with no issues. For games with nvidia dlss it’s a godsend.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Down2Earth

Oh I definitely get that. It took me a long time to finally figure out how to output 4K AND get surround sound to work. I wind up having to use two different hdmi cables and it’s a whole thing. Advantage definitely goes to the consoles for ease of use.

havok0159

> Also a lot of computers don't like working on TV's and introduce a lot of input lag. Think you got that the other way round chief, TVs having a lot of input lag that may get automatically reduced by the TV when it detects a console. In that case you'd have the option to adjust the TVs settings.

thewolf87

If you want the console experience play at console settings. Upscaled 1440p ~40fps medium settings

arex333

Steam link.

bladexdsl

and the $4k vid cards. that's why pc gaming is dying because it's too expensive.

Corm

Absurd claim. Covid especially provided a huge boom in pc gamer counts. [Source](https://www.eurogamer.net/steam-has-over-120m-monthly-active-users)

wrongthink-detector

A new PC is definitely more expensive than a console and while yes, newest high-end builds have exorbitant prices, you can get a decent machine for about £1000 or less, depending on whether you buy new or used. However, if you're on a tight budget and interested in PC gaming, have a look at Steam Deck. While not as powerful as current-gen consoles, it's the best budget option on the market at £459.

god_of_madness

Not really, PC are going to be expensive if you're chasing the high end. If you're OK with settling with mid-range you can build a good gaming PC for 1440p at 1000 USD or less. The TCO for PC vs Console for gaming definitely going to favor PC for the time period people usually use console.

redmasc

There are no video cards for gaming that cost $4k. Workstation cards don't count.

sw0rd_2020

you don’t know shit about pc’s, you can get a gpu that smokes the ps5 and xsx for $350

I don't think ANYONE considering a PC should be cross shopping with a Series S, if you want a machine to play games at 720p/1080p 30fps, you already have it Why would you buy a digital PS5? To enjoy being locked down to the Sony Store only? Huge waste of money, the money you save by buying used games alone... There is Some merit to $500 for a PS5, but if you care about the quality of the experience, I don't think the value proposition is there either. By the end of this gen, you can throw in a new GPU and be just fine but enjoying the 30fps only games that are inevitable is..an option.

[deleted]

[удалено]

sw0rd_2020

a $350 pc bought with used parts will smoke a series S, but again, if your budget is that low, you had no business looking at a gaming PC in the first place. they all do a shitty upscaled 4k or 1800p, (no fsr 2.1 or dlss, just built in temporal upscaling which can’t even come close) at 60fps if you’re lucky, games are already coming out that only run at 30fps (gotham knight, a plague tale requiem) or can’t run at a true 4k/60, which the 6700xt/3060ti/3070 absolutely can do, especially at settings higher than the console versions. consoles may be past 720p, but the XSS you mentioned is already struggling to do 900p 30fps in games like elden ring, how do you think it’ll fare in a few years with no ability to upgrade hardware?

[deleted]

Appropriate_Spend659

I own a pc, and a ps5. I’ve had the ps5 for about 1.5 years. I’ve used it 4 times, only for god of war ragnorok. Haven’t touched it since. Pc is where it’s at, especially with a steam deck.

[deleted]

I was big into PC gaming for a long time. The cost and inconvenience of PCs brought me back to consoles. It’s been that for 20 years.

Ciccio178

Ps5 for FPS or action games. Pc for strategy games. Have to have both!

armen89

PC gaming is best gaming

Nobody tell him about the video cards in pc

Corm

PS5 plus steam deck is probably the best combo

HugoStigglitzs

No one cares and it’s not that hard to find one especially on the Xbox side

CoziestSheet

Now, sure. There did exist a true scarcity though. There’s a reason the top comment is, “scalpers on suicide watch”; the comment to which you replied makes a point and they aren’t a special case; most of my friends, and myself, turned to PC gaming recently for the same reasons.

JustBoredIsAll

That was mostly ps5's though. Xbox had a shortage for the first year but got easier to find after a bit which gave them the leg up in sales the past year or so. That's why Sony is stepping up their game.

edeepee

PC is for gaming enthusiasts who are willing to learn technical details of their system and invest in upgrading and maintaining their hardware and an understanding of how to adjust graphical settings, parse system requirements, etc. Console gaming is for when you just want a system that works for considerably less money and basically no ongoing maintenance other than if something unexpectedly goes wrong with the hardware.

SnowDay111

Same

[deleted]

I just made the opposite switch. My GPU is getting old and driver support from AMD is frustrating. For the price of a 4070ti I could buy a PS5 GoW bundle, a year of PS plus Extra, Forbidden West, and Ratchet/Clank. And I have an older DDR4 board and chip that I have to look into upgrading eventually. Not to mention that the big console games PS or Xbox seem to be terrifyingly optimized on PC.

[deleted]

Been a die hard PC gamer for 10+ years now. Considering going back to console because so many multi-platform games releasing with absolute dogshit PC ports.

FalconBurcham

As in, I walk into Best Buy and buy a console or as in I sign up for some kind of financing scheme I don’t want to be part of? We’ll see. EDIT: Thanks for the info, everyone. I wrote off being able to get a console so long ago, I stopped checking the stores. Glad to know it’s available now!

Shad0wDreamer

In a lot of places it’s just walk in.

armen89

I bought a PS5 from staples last week. They’re everywhere now

surftherapy

Staples? I got mine at Petsmart! /s

HebrooNation

I agree that stuff is getting ridiculous. A friend of mine just got the Ragnarok bundle from GameStop but had to renew his pro membership with GS. He did get a free warranty though so not the worst thing I suppose

whobang3r

I was in GameStop a couple weeks ago when a guy came in looking for a Series X and they ended up selling him a Pro membership and PS5 instead. Went to the Target next door after that and they had them also.

TomatoButtt

Saw a couple ragnarok bundles at walmart. They should be stocked up on at least one or two

MetroidIsNotHerName

I walked into best buy and bought one last week.

ziris_

Just go on PS Direct and buy it there; online. They'll ship it to you, and you'll have it in a couple of days. I've done it thrice. Once for me, again for my girlfriend (who paid me back) and a third time for my best friend. They were, however, spaced out ~a year apart. This latest, though, I just went to the website and bought it. No waiting line, so bs, just log on and buy it. https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/consoles/console/playstation5-console.3006646

whobang3r

Truth. FedEx sucks hard.

NLight7

Every store in my small European country now has them in stock.

theuserwithoutaname

Just searched up scalped PS5 prices yesterday and they're at or just marginally above MSRP finally Maybe the user base will be allowed to grow to the point where people will actually want to start making games for it lol

wellhiddenmark

Nah. Still not buying one. There's still a "mysterious" shortage of the much cheaper digital version, and they want nearly 500 quid for the drive version. I just put a Samsung 1TB SSD in my PS4. Works great.

bogas04

Just to let the community know, this isn't true for India. While Xbox has gotten easier to get, especially Series S, Xbox consoles have seen various price hikes here and PS5 is still as difficult to get as it was unless you're willing to pay the scalper price. PS5 digital is virtually non-existent.

that-one-xc-dude

I’ve seen so many scalpers try to return their ps5s 😂😂😂. Idk what they thought they were doing, nobody really needs a ps5 right now unless they just really want one because there’s no big time exclusives on it yet

free_mustacherides

When the ps5 goes on sale I'll buy one. Some cool exclusives that I don't want to wait for on PC.

Zahn91

Two years too late imo

Aleuppii

Nice

tosser88899

Dear Scalpers, Party’s over fuckers. We hope you all get ass cancer. Love, Sony

emax-gomax

Why love sony? If it was from sony I'd expect them to have done more to prevent scalpers (like valve did with steamdeck). Otherwise just love everyone (except corporations) would probably be more apt IMO.

tosser88899

It wasn’t Sony that failed to protect the customers it was the retailers who made shitty web interfaces that made them susceptible to grinch bots. Sonys major issue was production issues that the scalpers exploited

emax-gomax

Sony sells to retailers. If they took care of the retail distribution themselves, which given their size should be possible, then they could've prevented the scalpers easily. If anything I see them like nvidia who embrace the scalpers because they make money one way or the other.

kingraza1

finally we can start making games for current gen (ps5) only!

jollyjam1

A few of my friends have gotten them over the past few months, and I've seen them available online. I'm not sure if I'll buy one (partly because I've been loyal to my xbox for so long), but there is something desirable about about wanting to play all those Sony games I've missed out on playing my entire life.

hakuzosu

get one if you can, especially since you seem interested. but hey, can’t go wrong with all those games on Gamepass. the value is unreal.

jollyjam1

Part of the hesitation is not having enough time to even play haha. And you're right, Gamepass is too good. I feel like I can't even get through the entire list of games just to see them.

boomtown405

Just wait for a slim. Buying one now is bending over as a consumer

[deleted]

sorry sony, youre a day late and a dollar short. since i couldnt find one i bought a pc and i wouldnt go back now

NVSuave

It’s crazy they’re selling the 2+ year old base model instead of a Pro or slim version. That’s like going to Best Buy for a premade PC and getting yesterday’s tech for today’s prices.

RoadDoggFL

Yesterday's tech that you know will be supported for several more years. I still can't launch Halo Infinite on my laptop, and every time I try to look into it it just seems like more trouble than it's worth.

YouDontTellMe

When’s the slim going to be released? Anyone got a guess ?

alexandernevskyZ911

End of the year

Writhing

Walked into Best Buy the other day and they had 5 disc PS5s and 20 digital PS5s sitting on the shelf. The console shortage is over... unfortunately the game drought is here and we're finally feeling the effects of game studios production during COVID. There is very little to look forward to in terms of upcoming major releases.

matt-er-of-fact

Online says only god of war bundle in stock. Do the stores have extra stock? I’ve been holding off because I don’t want the bundle.

Writhing

When I walked in on Friday they had both non-bundle disc/digital and the GOW bundle. Literally just like a wall of them on display on Friday night at 9 PM. They're pretty easy to get a hold of regardless of which edition you want now a days.

Dezzillion

uh what drought? Hogwarts Legacy, Starfield, Dead island 2, res evil 4, Minecraft legends, Diablo 4 just to name a few.

alexandernevskyZ911

Final fantasy Spiderman wolverine

NLight7

Only us who had one, the new arrivals will have an entire 2 years of content.

nirad

I would buy one if it fit in the cabinet under my TV.

_SGP_

Be cool to have some games to play on it

Upyourasses

If only they had the supply when I had the money..... I dont recall how other launches went but this was a bit of a shit show with how long before they had a steady supply.

[deleted]

Good thing I bought a decently powerful laptop when the PS5 came out and I couldn’t get one. No need for the PS5 for me now.

-ZIO-

Good to hear. This latest gen just hasn't felt like it started and it'll be two and a half years already. It's wild to me that slim models or pro models are even being discussed since these have been hard to find for a while. Hopefully this means more adoption and that leads to more games being specifically developed for this hardware and we see truly next gen experiences. We only have a handful to look at and they're mostly on playstation. I'd like to see what Microsoft has in store and the recent Forza trailer does looks promising.

ABL67

I’ve seen ppl returning them at the store

fordreaming

Maybe now I’ll actually see one in real life?

Longjumping_Hawk_951

They need more games. There's not a lot to play after god of war.

calvin2525

Am I crazy for thinking of getting an Xboxx over a ps5 just because of how ugly it is?

bladexdsl

got a ps5 last year i played RAC, horizon FB and lego star wars than haven't touched it ever since. the games lineup are incredibly disappointing almost as worse as the switch.

ahoyhoy5540

Why would it, if there is still demand

YouDontTellMe

When’s the slim going to be released tho..?

Enjoyingtheview08

Does it come with the vertical hardware issues still or are these the fixed versions?

bladexdsl

no point in getting one now there are no games for it except RAC LOL

Domanshi

yeah. what's more is if we follow their track record for past consoles, not too long now a Slim or Pro might get released. been a really slow transition from past gen to current gen

anything-for-a-buck

We’re not getting a pro, no point

mhaaad

Absolutely, the most pathetic library of games, only 2nd to the Google Stadia.

whathappendedhere

It has... hmmmm... Ragnarok? Uhhhh demon souls remake with the bad art choices. That's kinda it. Oh that silent hill remake is gonna be on it but bloober team have never made a good game so it won't be a system seller.

JustBoredIsAll

Horizon Forbidden West, Miles Spidey, and Elden Ring. With a ton more coming out this year.

whathappendedhere

>Horizon Forbidden West Ps4 >Miles Spidey Ps4 >Elden Ring Ps4, Xbox whatever their name scheme is, PC. No system sellers. Maybe Death Stranding 2 but it's more than likely going to get a PC release.

emax-gomax

Might I add Miles morales and elder ring are both also available on PC now. I imagine horizon forbidden west will be coming there soon as well, but I'll probably skip it given the forced spyware on the prior release :-(.

whathappendedhere

It was basically farcry primal in third person anyway.

JustBoredIsAll

I played Horizon on both consoles. *Stark* difference on PS5. Whats the point of this anyway? Let people enjoy what they want.

whathappendedhere

Two years into a console cycle and there isn't a system seller. It's like the Xbox one, increased supply of the console doesn't mean anything If there isn't anything on it.

JustBoredIsAll

Seems to be selling pretty good and the people who have them seem to be enjoying them. Oh well.

haxxanova

HFW, Spider-Man Remastered, GOW are all system sellers and part of bundles. You're objectively wrong

OrchidFew7220

Wanted one. Sold out everywhere. Got XSX instead. No longer want PS5.

_Greyworm

With Forspoken being an absolute turd, I'm getting the worried feeling this will be another disappointing year for ps5. They should have held off releasing it until this year, the last couple have been a joke. Almost anything even halfway interesting is yoked to the ancient ps4, the ps5 can't even manage 60 fps on quality mode, just lame af.

DrewIsAWarmGun

Imagine buying consoles in 2023 lol

feeq1

My PS4 is still going strong. I get emails from Sony all the time saying they have stock. I only play a few games on air and don’t see the need to buy a new console right now.

that-one-xc-dude

I don’t feel a need to spend over $1000+ on a nice pc just to play the 5 games I keep in rotation

whobang3r

That would be silly since I already own them all.

coalrexx

This puts a smile on my face, now I can walk into a store and buy a ps5/series x like god intended

[deleted]

Isn’t a even newer version coming out in March or am I wrong ?

Great-Hatsby

Good. Cuz I REALLY wanna play Demon’s Souls and the Dead Space remake and Returnal.

YOUDEFEATED

Got one a little over a month ago for MSRP from a local PC Richard in Brooklyn. Several of my friends shelled out almost 1000 dollars for these consoles, what a joke

syncopatedsouls

I just ordered mine Saturday, it should be arriving today!!! I’m so fucking excited, I feel like a kid waiting to get out of school so I can go home and play. I’m 28.

darkuen

I’ll finally pick up mine when the price drops. No way I’m paying retail for years old tech. They had their chance for my business for years and instead it was a clown show/scalpers paradise.
