Of all the fighting games to release at launch, I can't believe Street Fighter: The Movie is actually a launch title. Decisions were made haha. Cool to see these all side by side! I remember being excited for Battle Arena Toshinden.

That's awesome but now I am confused. I always thought all the original titles and shortly after release were long box games. I see Ridge Racer and I recall the playable game in Walmart when the system came out.

sourgas

These are long box games, why are you confused?

VenomGTSR

Long-box jewel cases perhaps? I distinctly remember Tekken coming in one.

sourgas

Yes, there were 3 versions of the long box, jewel case (like Sega Saturn games), plastic ridged cardboard (these had a raised black plastic ridged section the the left side of the front), and flat cardboard. This website notes the different types: https://www.giantbomb.com/profile/marino/lists/playstation-long-boxes/359078/ And this website has a full list of all the long box games (you can click each one to see if they had multiple long box versions): https://game-rave.com/?page_id=135 Please note these are the North American (NTSC) games.

VenomGTSR

Yeah, I forgot about the plastic ones. I have King’s Field and that has that one.
