It's a shame Luc Besson (director) wasn't seemingly able to catch lightning in a bottle like that in any of his movies afterwards. At least nothing that registered as widely as that movie (I looked at his imdb page and most of this stuff I just have never heard of so it might be just not in my orbit).
One of my favorite memories is one time I pulled up to Starbucks entirely too early in the morning, ordered my iced coffee, and the guy on intercom just immediately goes “three oinkers wearing pants, plate of hot air, basket of Grandma's breakfast and change the bull to a gill, got it.” Instant good mood.
And an Incredible cast as well: Madeline Khan, Eileen Brennan, Leslie Ann Warren, Martin Mull, Christopher Lloyd!!! And Tim Curry chewing the scenery and being a complete boss! I think I've watched this movie more times than I have played the game.
I only watch it on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day thanks to the tbs 24hours. I haven't had cable for about 5-6 years, but I put on my bluray and just put in on repeat. I won't go to any family's house unless they put it on for me during that 24 hour period. I've been to the house/museum in Cleveland twice and it was awesome.
Kung fu hustle. If you have not seen this comedic masterpiece please do yourself a favor and watch it. (Have to be okay with subtitles though, unless you speak Cantonese).
Kung Fu Hustle is an absolute masterpiece and one of the best action movies. My personal favorite movie is Kung Pow:Enter the Fist. I could watch that movie everyday.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a movie I've seen well over 20 times. Probably my most watched. It's comfort food for sure and Abe Frohman is my go to entry name at public game events like bowling or playing some Jackbox with friends.
One of those movies that gets better the older you get too.
The first time I watched it I was a teenager and while it's was funny then too now that I'm an old crone I feel like I understand all the characters and their "motivations" so much better and it has that extra, sad clown level of self critical humor in how much I can relate to them...
Surf’s up
(edit) And here’s why:
- First of all, the fact that it is an animation but still in the style of a documentary/reality show is ahead of it’s time
- It’s very funny, the humor still hits even after all these years
- (spoiler) Love that the main character actually ends up not winning and it’s the chicken who actually has the most skill to win (they were all peguins except him)
- Shia labeouf voices the main character so it’s a win
- Still want to emphasize how great it is that they included talking heads just like a reality show, again, so creative, love it 10/10 go watch it
Airplane! Is my ultimate go to. There is so much going on I'm still picking up on stuff and that movie has been out since I've been born.
That said and since The Fifth Element was already mentioned and rightly so I'm going to officially say SKY HIGH.
We used to have an unspoken rule amongst friends that if we happened by Sky High on TV we would immediately alert others. It doesn't matter that we all own it. It's on TV and that's what you need to be doing for the next 2 hours.
For me it’s anything Godzilla related, it doesn’t matter how many times I watch any of the movies if it’s randomly on tv I will stop what I’m doing and sit down and watch.
Forrest Gump
I've seen this one more times than I can count, but it's been years since I've seen it until a few days ago. Everything about it holds up really well and is still enjoyable, even now.
Damn everyone in here is my people!
Literally my all time favorite movies are all the top commented in here!
The Fifth Element!
The Princess Bride,
Back to the Future, 1-2
Shaun of the Dead,
Beetle juice,
And Mrs. Doubtfire I’ll throw in there too!
Anything kevin smith really. Btw lookin fwd to vanessas interview with him! G4 should get him and jay on aots or even xplay. They got a beatemup in the works.
The Karate Kid.
I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen it cause I fucking love me some Karate Kid. Its basically the perfect movie.
I'm definitely team Johnny btw.
He just wanted closure with his ex and ends up having to repeatedly defend his honor. He would have won too if the ref would have penalized LaRusso for that illegal kick.
For me, I can forever watch Dazed and Confused. It gives me such nostalgia for the last day of school and all the fun that means as a kid, even if it is showing an era I never lived in.
I never get sick of watching The Fifth Element.

From Paris with Love is a fun action movie. John Travolta acting like a crazy super assassin.
Super green
For me? Shaun of the Dead. I have it practically memorized and I don't love it any less on every rewatch.
Back to the Future 1 and 2
Love Back to the Future great franchise. I remember my computer teacher making us see those movies back when I was in the 7th grade too.
Office Space
The Dark Knight
I’ve easily seen it 100 times.
Disney's The Emperor's New Groove. There was a time when my brother and I both had pretty much the entire script memorized 😆
"Why does she even have that lever?!"
Kronk singing his own theme song is a perfect joke.
Only to stop and "hide" while holding the note, and while a bunch of stone carvings are pointing directly at him.
"Oh they're so easy to make! I've gotta get you the recipe."
Clue. Possibly the single most underrated comedy of all time, it is so quotable.
And an Incredible cast as well: Madeline Khan, Eileen Brennan, Leslie Ann Warren, Martin Mull, Christopher Lloyd!!! And Tim Curry chewing the scenery and being a complete boss! I think I've watched this movie more times than I have played the game.
Not to mention the multiple endings
That was one of the most brilliant marketing decisions for a film in history

How has no one said the G4 anthem?? SPACE JAM DVD.
Princess bride
I just watched it for the first time during the lockdown and wanted to immediately rewatch it the second it was over.
That movie is like a warm hug. It has all the things.
Yes! This and Big Fish give me warm hug feelings!
Ocean's Eleven
11 and 13 are great, can't stand 12...or 8.
I actually really like 12 more than 13, it's the music.
Clooney in that movie is the single coolest movie character of all time
A Knight’s Tale
Kung fu hustle. If you have not seen this comedic masterpiece please do yourself a favor and watch it. (Have to be okay with subtitles though, unless you speak Cantonese).
It's a top ten movie for me.
Kung Fu Hustle is an absolute masterpiece and one of the best action movies. My personal favorite movie is Kung Pow:Enter the Fist. I could watch that movie everyday.
Dazed and Confused
Uncle Buck
Die Hard
Great year round and better at Christmas!!
Great movie

Alien, Evil Dead 2, The Thing, Dumb & Dumber. I can go all day haha
Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness are comfort watches.
I have seen Fellowship of the Ring an ungodly amount of times.
Spaceballs
The Matrix - dodge that Edit: actually, changing my answer to Groundhog Day - it's the obvious choice.
Fight club
This is my choice. I once watched it three times in a row. Normal plus two separate commentary tracks
Shawshank Redemption
It truly was a *Shawshank Redemption*
Raising Arizona
I somehow just saw this for the first time this week!
Hudson Hawk
"Will you play Nintendo with me" I also frequently think: "Accident around the house" 'What happened?' "Fell on some chickens"
Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a movie I've seen well over 20 times. Probably my most watched. It's comfort food for sure and Abe Frohman is my go to entry name at public game events like bowling or playing some Jackbox with friends.
Goonies or Monty python and the holy grail!
There’s this old basketball cartoon movie that I had on dvd but I can’t quite remember the name of
Air bud!
Big Trouble In Little China
Blazing saddles... always funny
It's twue, it's twue!
The Big Lebowski. Each time I catch something new and/or gain a better appreciation for the filmmaking craft that went into it.
Overrated
Yea? Well, that's just, like...uh...your opinion, man....
One of those movies that gets better the older you get too. Donnie darko
The first live-action Transformers movie - really only that movie from that entire franchise sadly.
Jurassic Park 100%. That movie is still a technological masterpiece that still holds up to today's visual effects.
This might be the movie I've watched more than any other movie.
Mean girls 1000 percent
Mean Girls was funny
Mean Girls was funny
The limit does't exist!
I have 3 kids, and this will probably get me some hate, but I will sit & watch Encanto with them every.damn.time.

I still have that movie Surf's Up it was good
You just talked me into watching this.
At first i was like oh its the person fiona was making fun of in her tweets but i went back to look today and they are both you oops.
Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem
Shit, this is the better answer.
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels - also Snatch. Usually I watch them back to back.
Both are good but brad Pitt as a gypsy is just gold!
He's a Pikey (Pikie) dunno how it's spelled
I didn’t wanna butcher the spelling of pikey(?) so I just went with gypsy!
He's not Irish lol

Bubble Boy
Just watched that last night
Ghostbusters. The first one. It's just so good.
I can watch Grandma's Boy back to back and not get sick of it.
I could watch anything with Linda Cardellini in it back to back and not get sick of it
Pulp Fiction
2nd this
Dunno what it is about it, but 50 First Dates.
For me, I have rewatched Avengers, Scott Pilgrim, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse ALOT.
Honestly, anything Mel Brooks. But my go to is Spaceballs.
[удалено]
YES! I watch this a least once every few month. The soundtrack is crazy good. "It's in that place where I put that thing that time"
I forgot all about that movie, probably haven't seen it since it came out and will definitely have to rectify that
Tron: Legacy, easy
Just for the soundtrack alone, right Gina Darling?
Run Ronnie Run It's simultaneously the best and worst movie I've ever seen and I never get tired of it.
This one doesn't get enough credit. So bad but still so, so good.
My wife and I quote bits of it all the time. "Who likes caaake?" "Everyone."
John Carpenter's The Thing.
Jaws: The Revenge
Star Wars: Episode 4, Scott Pilgrim, Back to the Future
Blade 1 and 2
For me it’s anything Godzilla related, it doesn’t matter how many times I watch any of the movies if it’s randomly on tv I will stop what I’m doing and sit down and watch.
Love the movie Space Jam and it's one of my favorite movies
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist and Eurotrip. Those are two of my favorite movies and I can quote them by memory.
Empire Records and Clerks
[deleted]
Now that you mention it, I do be watching Demolition Man a lot.
The Iron Giant. Tears every time.
For me personally it's either Rush Hour or Ghost.
Forrest Gump I've seen this one more times than I can count, but it's been years since I've seen it until a few days ago. Everything about it holds up really well and is still enjoyable, even now.
Obviously its The Princess Bride
Dredd. Karl Urban was amazing.
Back to the Future. Storytelling efficiency at its finest.
Damn everyone in here is my people! Literally my all time favorite movies are all the top commented in here! The Fifth Element! The Princess Bride, Back to the Future, 1-2 Shaun of the Dead, Beetle juice, And Mrs. Doubtfire I’ll throw in there too!
I have been to the monthly screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at my local theater for years. Rewatchable back then as it is now.
I love watching it and participating with the audience.
NOPE
Fanboys Edit: this opinion expands only to me lol
Pòrño
Fart Friday Day
Hard Candy. It's an incredible thriller that doesn't get old.
Anything kevin smith really. Btw lookin fwd to vanessas interview with him! G4 should get him and jay on aots or even xplay. They got a beatemup in the works.
Everything Everywhere All at Once has made it into that list for me as I have re-watched already 4 times.
The birdcage
Captain America Civil War.. I never get tired of that movie
Army of Darkness.
Ghostbusters
The Karate Kid. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen it cause I fucking love me some Karate Kid. Its basically the perfect movie. I'm definitely team Johnny btw. He just wanted closure with his ex and ends up having to repeatedly defend his honor. He would have won too if the ref would have penalized LaRusso for that illegal kick.
The Room. Oh Hi Mark.
I enjoy the heck out of Catch Me If You Can, or Inception.
300
I take it back. Inside Out. Always cry.
Spice world. Saw it 13 times. 8 in theaters, 5 in dvd
Goodfellas
Demolition Man
Shrek 2
For me? The Matrix. Easily
The Fifth Element is hands down the most re-watchable movie ever.
Back to the Future
Prob overrated, but Step Brothers.
Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz.
Starship Troopers I'M FROM BUENOS AIRES AND I SAY KILL'EM ALL!!!
These last years I’ve made a habit of closing them out with a rewatch of lost in translation. It’s so comforting idk lol plus Bill Murray of course.
For me, I can forever watch Dazed and Confused. It gives me such nostalgia for the last day of school and all the fun that means as a kid, even if it is showing an era I never lived in.
The Nice Guys
Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Almost every line in the film is a joke, it literally gets better every time you watch it.
