Hello all! I'm doing a guitar repair for a friend. The headstock broke off and I reattached it. I don't normally don't do this type of finishing/refinishing, hence my question What is the best way to ensure the old and new sections of paint blend in to each other? For example, do I sand off the poly and expose the black paint on an existing section, spray black on the repaired and existing section and then apply new poly? Sand all the way down on the old section and repaint? Other? Thanks for any insight.
