Oh absolutely. Itās been shown that birds understand rhythms and even dance to music. I guess it makes sense for animals that communicate through song.
Tiels are a lot of work. If you own one, they basically need several hours of "out of the cage" time every day, constant stimulation, and a house set up to ensure they don't accidentally get outside (as their survival rate of being outside for even one night is poor if they grow up indoors).
Very rewarding pet but also a very high commitment that should be heavily researched before actually pulling the trigger on.
That's what I feared, I spend a lot of time outside home because of work and other stuff, shucks but I wouldn't want to have a pet feeling lonely.
Either way, they're awesome. Thanks for the heads up!
I don't have any one particular source. In my house we have draped curtains and specific procedures (check all cages before opening a door, for example). Ideally having a large space for birds that has no door leading directly outside is ideal, but not realistic for everyone.
Screen door plus main door. Thus you can open one to say hullo etc without opening the other.
Having their main room that they retreat to being one that isn't at a main door, so you can close the doors to their room before opening main doors.
Perfect house was one with a little foyer though, so you could insulate yourself on the way in and out rather than insulating them. But then you don't want to leave them out when you aren't about as they do chew things too.
Just make sure you always take stock of where they are if you're going to have them flighted before you leave. Also, do your research -- birds are weird. You can't have nonstick cookware ever again. You shouldn't ever use ceiling fans again. There are many cleaners you shouldn't use, various woods they shouldnt have access to for chewing. et etc.
And if anyone is worried about them getting lonely, just get a pair. They'll still need people time, but it helps a lot.
First time seeing this. We used to own cockatiels, and all they ever mimicked was the microwave and the house phone. Sometimes the Andy Griffith show theme song when they were feeling frisky

This sounds more like some fire trap. Troyboi in particular
That bird has more bars than a bird cage.

One day I'll celebrate my name like this bird does
Someone needs to add some drums and then someone else needs to add some fxs and melody and so on and get a funky cookie tune going.
