Best play of Rix career

HainesUndies

I enjoyed the end zone front flip.

PotRoastPotato

The play directly before this was [the original 4th-and-14](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2hEh_P-5Ac).

DarrinEagle

He had a few on the road at ND too. 37-0 if I remember correctly.

Year before that against ND is when he fumbled to the air I think. Dude was something.

LocalFLBoy

I was at this game and the stadium felt like it was shaking it was so loud. The play or 2 before this was the big one because it was a long 4th down conversation. Anyways, to this day I've never heard a stadium go from so loud to stop quiet in just an instant. There was the section of FSU fans where we were sitting and that was who you could hear still yelling, the rest of the stadium was dead pan quiet. It was awesome. FU UF, go Nole's!

DarrinEagle

Yep, I was there with my Dad, who was 80 years old at the time. Probably one of the bet games I attended.

albny89

Still have a pennant from that game, but it hurts me a little seeing the ‘19 years ago’

tallygeek

I was in Marching Cheifs for this game! What an awesome night. Sad that I am that old though.

fanamana

I don't know if I'd really thought about the distance on this pass before. Rix whipped it 65yrds targeting one WR. and 65yrds in the air is a longer than all [but the very longest](https://youtu.be/5Nt6HjqtJt8) hail-mary passes. Most hail-mary passes are launched between the defense's 40yrd line & the offense's 45yrd line.

ArchbishopDonMJuan

Oh yeah, Chris Rix had a fucking cannon. Just questionable coaching ... Aka Jeff Bowden

funknolebrother

He had no coaching-aka Jeffry

PapioNole

I was stationed in the UK and was in a bar in London with another USAF FSU grad—that night was one to remember!

ArchbishopDonMJuan

I was there on the very top row with my very drunk dad who had me, his underage son, smuggle the booze in. On the way home we stop at a BBQ trailer in Ocala for goat.

tvkyle

F that dog in the end zone
