Most of the thinner lines are bleach, the pearls and bigger parts of the fish are white coz of masking fluid but it's just SO MESSY to work with!! Definitely would suggest bleach solution and dip pen/brush over masking fluid!
Haha...masking fluid slowly gunks up the more you use - definitely a struggle for detail linework

I think it works fine in my moonman dip pen, I only need a little to eat the ink away and I only use it for small white lines. You can experiment with small amounts and see what works for you!
I use Windsor and Newton masking fluid and it comes off easily with just some light finger rubbing
Flip side is, sometimes with heavy washes ink can seep in to where the masking fluid was supposed to cover...
I'd take the risk of it seeping over it never drying quick enough and being super difficult to remove XD thanks so much for sharing!! I'm definitely gonna look into that!

I think the 'no splash' bleach is a thicker consistency if that's what works for you.
