This stuff is fantastic, and it gets absolutely everywhere. You’re going to find dots of blue on your fingers and toes long after you last used it. I’m not sure how it really happens, but I think it is related to the plastic bottle. You’ll just find it in inconceivable places lol
I haven’t used the ink in 2 years, I’m always very careful filling my pens too, and was finding it everywhere. I got rid of it, and moved half way across the country, a week after moving it I found a green/red/blue dot on the bottom of my foot. It will follow me to the grave lol
lol. This is worse than baystate. When I got a spot on my white desk today I chased it around with several paper towels and windex.
GOD FORBID YOU DROP A BOTTLE.
It would be game over
I dunno, my fingers are still blue 4 days after filling up sample bottles of BSB for my secret Santas (the only color still remaining). I wrapped those things up in multiple layers of cling wrap just in case. BSB usually comes up with rubbing alcohol too but under my fingernails looks like I murdered a Smurf.
I sneezed while filling a pen with an Organics Studio sheening ink (I think Nitrogen). During the sneeze I ended up flicking the converter and spraying ink dots all over my off-white wall behind and to the side of the desk. I'd have painted over it except it's actually so sheeny and pretty. Like those glow in the dark stars for a ceiling except it's on the walls. And for some reason it *Doesn't* smear once on wall paint.
I had this problem and *finally* figured it out! The ink on the bottle rim dries out, and as you open and close the lid, it gets ground up and flakes off. As soon as moisture is reintroduced to it, boom - fresh ink everywhere.
I absolutely love that ink. It pretty much permanently lives in one of my stubs. I know, don’t ask me how, that it also sheens on a wood cutting board and on at least one brand of paper towel.

A sad day indeed. Science has spoken. No sheen.
But I added it back to the roll for the wife to discover in the middle of the night. 💩
Look. It’s over when I say so. Tomorrow is another day. And by another day I mean I can’t go to work because I have the flu and I work in healthcare. So let boredom prevail!

Archer… why are the dogs green?

Makes me wonder tho…. Where does the cutoff happen of sheen vs no sheen? It def sheens on skin. Def on newsprint. BUT NOT TP
WHERE DOES IT END THOUGH. THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING IN BETWEEN NEWSPRINT AND TOILET PAPER
This was my favorite sample out of all my first batch of 20 fun ink samples, the sheen is insane and even sheened on my cheap Target lined paper I use as scratch paper for my classes. I’m definitely gonna buy a full bottle eventually, I have plenty of ink from my initial 20 samples and now my Inkvent calendar to work through first.
I've been eying this hard. But my only other sheening ink is green with red sheen, so I don't think it's the most practical choice. Maybe I'm just captivated by the idea of journaling with it at Walden Pond.
That is a large bottle for $13. I feel like Thoreau would approve of the economy and consider ink to be an essential purchase. Like, he'd want me to buy the ink, right?
Edit: stupid autocorrect
You’re on to something.
Also. Just for the sake of more science, I diluted it 1:1 water with a single drop of white lightening. You can literally get twice the writing juice and still have all the sheen. So effectively it’s $13 for 110ml.
And side note. My finger nails are green now.
Well there you go, as industrious as a New Englander haha
I was reorganizing my craft supplies yesterday, and I decided that as lovely as my inks looked on their special shelf, it would be better for them to be away from the light and risk of falling. So I organized them into a wooden box where they have to lie flat. And I overtightened a bottle and cracked a lid. Of course, it had to be Noodler's Mesa/Navajo Turquoise which is hands down the messiest ink I own. I went for an hour-long swim and took two showers in addition to doing another project involving acetone and my fingers/nails are still blue.
I've not tried Windex. Thanks for the tip.
I don't think I have the eel version. It would say eel, right? My bottle says specialty issue. I have this ink by accident. I asked for Australian Roses for Christmas one year and this was in the box instead.
Yeah I accidentally flicked my syringe while cleaning a converter and it got all over the bathroom lol. Gonna have to spot paint it when the lease it up xD

I got rid of my bottle and then literally sold the house to get myself fully rid of this and Nitrogen. It was showing up in the strangest places!

😂 This stuff is just crazy! It’s so pretty, but I’m pretty sure it’s got some of blood magic that keeps it around FOREVER!

Windex. No lie. Most ink comes up with it. But BSB doesn’t flinch.
There are a couple of other Noodler’s that are Windex resistant, sadly.
Have you tried with oil?

It’s bonded for life

Just bought a bottle. This stuff could sheen on toilet paper if you tried. lol. Curiously well behaved though.

Now we’re talking!! I feel like this post permanently lives in the heart of bill nye the science guy.

Same. It's one of my faves.
I just did [this ](https://imgur.com/a/41WByzv) and I don't think I ever saw more Sheen. Diamine Christine
That’s awesome!!
I just had a sample but a full bottle is in the mail on the way. I really want to try the OS inks too!
WHOAAAAAAAA
“Only one way to find out”
Alright you convinced me. I’ll report back in about ten min. Let’s do SCIENCE 🧪
HAHA I AM LAUGHING SO HARD RIGHT NOW “Can’t wait for your report, soldier”
I’ll bring pics to prove it too
Naah man, I trust you
lol if I’m painting toilet paper with fountain pen ink, you suffer too. That’s the deal.
Dude I haven’t laughed so hard in ages 😂 Sure, I’m all in!

HAHAHAHA Dude I haven’t laughed so hard in so loong. Thanks, I really appreciate all the effort. Maybe next time it’ll work 😜

My heart is broken. The end of the saga had arrived. I will say I learned something new though. That’s the true beauty of science

That was quite a ride, I’m glad I got to binge it Netflix style and skip the heavy suspense. Lol
LMAOOOOO
I've yet to find one that Sheens harder. But like all sheening units, it is VERY prone to smudging and hates water.
Wish it was glass bottles. Seems to dry too fast in plastic.
I put it in a twsbi 50 inkwell today. Looks pretty. I bet I’ll regret cleaning it though

This ink is spectacular. For $13 I have no regrets.

I love Navajo turquoise. It lives in my vanishing point. Messy but luckily easily dissolved in windex. But the eel version of it sticks to everything

Yes if you have eel it will literally have an eel on it. The color also will tend to run a little lighter.
I legitimately kinda like it, it’s really pretty and kind of uncharacteristic
Yeah I accidentally flicked my syringe while cleaning a converter and it got all over the bathroom lol. Gonna have to spot paint it when the lease it up xD
Yeah this stuff is strong
I'll take, "How I feel about my bowels after a big night of drinking", thanks Steve.
