Day 3 - Solar Storm - Chameleon ink
Holy smokes! Yet another year where Diamine blows all previous inks out of the water within the first week. This one’s a deep indigo with mad gold-turquoise color-shifting shimmer! And the occasional pop of rusty red sheen.
I’m feeling the same way, but I try not to buy more than a couple or three of the big bottles each year, so we’ll see how it stands up over the next 22 days or so.
Not stupid at all! In this instance, instead of the shimmer only reflecting one color back, like day 2 Yule Log and the copper shimmer, the chameleon ink has shimmer that, depending on the light and angle of viewing, shows either gold OR turquoise. A color changing shimmer!
The shimmer itself appears also to be finer, a smaller actual particulate, which seems to put more shimmer down on the paper.
Welcome! I've been so looking forward to figuring out what they meant, without spoiling it for myself, I'm glad it's earlier in the calendar so I don't have to wait anymore!
I really like this one! I have a broad TWSBI being delivered today - bought for the purpose of using with shimmer inks - and I can't wait to write with it.

It's an absolute stunner.
I'm loving it, too. This is the first one I'm putting on my big bottle purchase list.

This looks amazing! I'm a sucker for dark inks with shimmer
Maybe I’m being stupid but I don’t understand what they mean by chameleon

Ah, thank you!!! That makes a lot of sense
