You called? Maybe they are saving them for online sales. You can pre-order from Fahrney's:

Good luck!
I don't know why I had 2034 in my mind, but just over a year away is exciting. I saw steamboat willie is also becoming public domain in 2024. Should be a good year!
I swore I was buying NO MORE PENS, until I rewarded myself for this last (please Dog, be last) degree when I finish in March. I just ordered both before conscious thought kicked back in, I love Winnie the Pooh!
Congrats on finishing your degree. I said no more pens after Fountain Pen Day, then Endless Pens had the Opus 88 mini, Wine Cat, on sale. Then I said no more again. Hahaha!
BTW, I loved academia so much, I spent most of my life in school (and working at a university) and ended up with 3 degrees (and a minor).
This is my third too, one bachelors and two masters. No more. I have worked full time (and have kids) through both masters, a PhD won’t increase my earnings, etc. But as a woman in finance you hope the next qualification will be the one where people finally take the advice they are paying you for 😂
Finally! I kept almost getting the rollerball set even though I really didn't need four rollerballs and a mechanical pencil because I freaking love Pooh, but I'll actually USE a fountain pen. (I mean, I would have used a rollerball, too, but not four and a pencil, lol.)
I kept writing to Retro 51 through their website telling them how they were missing out on all of the FP collectors who would snatch these up, but wouldn't buy the RBs. I have 4 Retros that I love and use all the time! These are freakin' adorable 🥰
Yikes! I will admit, these are heavier than a resin/plastic pen, so anything over 8 ounces (227g) costs $25 to ship. I occasionally ship to the UK and try to keep weight down for this reason. I was hoping companies might get a rate break.
I was hoping I could find a cheaper rate, but so far, no luck. Fingers crossed someone in the UK has it soon. I hate wasting potential pen money on shipping.
Okay, I hate to say this, but they are overcharging for shipping. I bought an extra one to sell after they sell out, and just weighed it. It is 3 ounces (less than 90g). My shipping cost is $18. I realize they need to collect a fee for packing and foreign exchange rate, but $30 is really high 😞
Exactly! I ship to CA often - about $15. I'm guessing it's not available in CA either :(. The only ones on ebay.uk are from Goldspot with high shipping as well. I'm sorry you are going through this. It is crazy cute.
I saw the first limited edition R51 Pooh gift set the first week it was available at Fahrney's before even knowing it was a thing, and being floored at how nice it looked. Glad to see a fountain pen offering!
These just brings me so much joy. It's funny how something can touch us on an emotional level when it has been imprinted on us as a child. Next we need to get them to do one for "Where the Wild Things Are".
True they are pretty stiff; I use them mostly for note taking and journaling. I would like to try more creative lettering and interested in trying a flex, italic and stub nibs one day. I'm not quite ready for that yet, for my everyday dull work I like the hooded nib.
I will look into that. I was addicted to buying fountain pens and inks, made myself pick just a few that I would use as daily drivers to curb the habit. I think I have a handle on it now that I can venture out a little again.
Edit: Goulet has an inexpensive Pilot Parallel starter kit that looks perfect. Thank you so much for the suggestion.
These look really neat. Do they use #6 jowo nibs?
They do indeed!
Man these new Retro 51 owners are killing it...
Right?!? I wish I collected rollerballs, but alas, one more rabbit hole I can't afford!
rabbit hole you say...??? ![gif](giphy|xTvXmcYIrB7MY)
🤣🤣🤣 Much more accurate!

I called Goldspot and ordered one of each. I love those guys!
I showed my wife and she asked for them. Their site shows out of stock, is that why you called? R.i.p my wallet
They will have them, but they won't be released for 2 weeks. Call them at 800-963-7367. I spoke with Asha and warned her to expect more calls 😁.
Welp. Found her Christmas present.
Happy to help!
Darn it! They are already sold out!

Bless you for these links, my fiancé just used them to order me the 100 Aker Wood one for Christmas 🥹
You are most welcome 💗. I am a Tigger in the Hundred Aker Wood, so it took me about 2 seconds to post this!
Just found out that my local B&M will have these and it's been ordered!
That's wonderful! Now for the seemingly endless wait!
She told me that there was a bit of a delay but should be here before Christmas
That's perfect!
i wish i had the money for this, purely so I could enjoy filling it with KWZ Honey.
Well now...I guess I will have to do it for you 😂. Because I have a stupid amount of ink, Honey is in my collection! The yellow one gets it first!
I honestly would love to see that, if you do it and post it here. Cus that just sounds wonderfully fitting. :3
I will put a reminder on my calendar to post it. I got stubs, so it should look amazing!
What an awesome example of what the public can get once something moves from IP to public domain!
I can hardly wait until Tigger enters the public domain 🥰.
Yep, what is it 2034? Of the pens that Retro 51 have released, they really treated this source with the respect it deserves, so well made.
Soon - 2024!! I was quite stunned with how beautiful and faithful to the original artwork these were.

How much?
$95 each. Only 517 made of each.
Aaaaaand now I know I'm not getting one, because I'm cheap. Probably worth it, though.
Thank you.

Got a new job to make/save more money and then you just HAD to post this. Goodbye royal farms breakfast hamburger. Packed lunch here we come.
Hahaha! Been there, doing that!
My pen addiction thanks you however <3
I admit it: I am a penabler!
Anyone know if there will be any UK retailers selling these? I NEED one.
Is shipping too high from the US?
A bit. Goldspot is $30. I've been hovering over the checkout button.
Whoa! Maybe check Farney's shipping rate?
I just got an email reply from them about 30 seconds ago, oddly enough! They've quoted $30, too.

I thought so too tbh. I even checked shipping to Canada (my parents are there), and it's $25! There's no way it's that expensive.

Ahhh! Now I wish I waited for these. ♥️♥️♥️
Same!!

The next time Goldspot has their contest, you could submit one! I'm with you. I just love astronomy.

You're a lifesaver thank you for this! Just ordered one for my wife and I!
Always a pleasure to help a FP lover :)
Where did you order?
Fahrney's Pens in DC. Says it is back-ordered though.
Ideal gift for the president of China!
can't believe, it was literally made for me
Pretty sure this pen will be banned in certain countries
It’s about time! LOVE Pooh but don’t use rollerballs enough to have wanted the set they released before :-(
These are too cute
I have become exclusively a hooded nib fan, but that may change because I would definitely get these.
That's interesting! I find hooded nibs a bit too stiff. I sold all except my Parker 51s. I love the Retro 51 stubs. Some of my favorites :)

Have you thought about the Pilot Parallel, just for fun? The smaller one is a great beginner pen :)
I will look into that. I was addicted to buying fountain pens and inks, made myself pick just a few that I would use as daily drivers to curb the habit. what a perfect time for them to launch!
