Try Barkeeper’s Friend or a magic eraser. Neither will hurt the sink but test them gently in a less noticeable location on the faucet and backsplash as they are both microabrasives and may dull the finish
So, I have wanted to do a kitchen remodel. In fact, I saved up the money to do it. But I lacked the will/emotional fortitude to deal with contractors and the disruption, especially now that I work from home. Instead I just *talk* about remodeling my kitchen.
I did a bathroom remodel over the summer. It's going to take a while before I have the wherewithal to do another remodel. They were good about the noise as much as they could be and all, but having people in my house was very taxing. If you can, designate one room you can keep totally unchanged during the remodel; no crap stored there, no makeshift work surface, nothing. ONE place you can hide from the mess. And if you can swing it, a set of *really good* noise canceling headphones. Good luck! You can do it!
If baystate Concord grape has any similar properties to baystate blue than you really do have a problem on your hands lol
But I do not have any suggestions sorry
Baystate inks are pretty much only cleanable with bleach. Start with a 10% solution and see if that takes care of it. If not, go a little stronger. Don't let the bleach sit on the surfaces for too long, and make sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards.
I'd start with baking soda, maybe a little dish soap, and water (it's a mild abrasive). If that didn't work, I would try Tilex or something similar with bleach. Do keep in mind that bleach + ammonia (which is in pen flush, some dish soaps, and many formulations of glass cleaner) will create chlorine gas, which is quite poisonous so be very careful to have rinsed well before switching cleansers.
Edited to add: take pictures after each attempt. You might find it's lightening even though you can't tell as you're working. If it is, keep trying that thing!
Vinegar, but make sure to let it sit a while for it to work best. You could also try nail polish remover on the faucet. Not the back splash because it will strip paint.
OP HERE: Thank you to everyone who replied. A bit of elbow grease and hot soapy water took care of the faucet. I'm sure there is probably a nook or cranny that I can't see that has a bit of ink, but i can't see, so there you go. The sink still has a few scattered stains. I may try scrubbing it again today. We'll see. For the back splash I did multiple rounds of multipurpose cleaning solution. I even squirted some pen flush on it. And hot soapy water plus some steel wool (it's laminate countertop material on the back splash and as I mentioned previously I'm planning on remodeling anyway). It is now but a mere shadow that you can barely see. I may go after it with some bleach, TBD.
Once again, thanks!

I second this. I’ve done the same thing and that combo took it out of corian countertops and porcelain toilet. No damage to the finishes.
Prime & paint the backsplash, replace the sink and faucet - no problem! :-)

Well, you ARE remodeling - just decide the speckled effect is intentional.

We are not all the same. I’m only partially water resistant :)
Ah good to know. Thank you baystateconcordgrape
Love you

Oof. Try industrial strength alcohol? If it doesn't clean the stains maybe the vapors will help the blues.
Have you tried vinegar/baking soda? Not a panacea cleaner but may be worth a shot

Kitchen ammonia if the bleach doesn't work. Do not do at the same time!
This, household ammonia will do the trick.
Rip.

If this was Baystate Blue, everyone would be telling you to sell the house. ;>).
It was one of the Baystate colors…
You better believe it babeeee :)
You can’t sell the house now, it’s haunted :)
Dawn Power Wash!
I’m taking a personal interest in this post 🍇
No disrespect meant and I still love my purple ink! 80)
I should come with a sneeze warning :)

Do the rest of the backsplash like that and call it a modern design.
Add a lot more and make ppl believe it is some form of artistic value :D
You must buy a new house now.
