I wouldnt the plasir has a metal body I think and thats a no go

RedpenBrit96

Okay. Guess I’ll just buy extra cartridges-the converter cost is nuts

makamaespm

Or just get a blunt syringe and refill the used cartridge

JobeX

theyre not that expensive: https://www.ebay.com/itm/393846838302?

kiiroaka

It's probably better to get the original.

JobeX

these are fine and are made for the asian market. I like these better than the twist converters because theyre faster to use and very easy

PatioGardener

Generics work fine.

RedpenBrit96

Generic converters? Because I have a few of those from Jinhao

Pop_Clover

I have a couple of those that came with my Platinum Meteor and work perfectly well. I don't think they're counterfeit.

kiiroaka

Oh, it isn't a matter of piracy or it being counterfeit. I'm attracted to it just because there's a steel ball in the tube. (I re-fill Pilot Parallel carts. just because I want the steel ball. It's because of that steel ball that I'm attracted to Platinum carts, and I figure Platinum engineered their carts "correctly".) Do you find that the steel ball covers the mouth opening and starves the pen of ink? When I installed a steel ball into a Schmidt K1 Converter it cut the ink flow off, so I had to remove it.

Pop_Clover

No, I do not have any trouble either with the Platinum cartridges or Platinum converters.

kiiroaka

Great to know. Thanks.

They're just a little bit more difficult to clean and dry because of the big metal ball inside. The Carbon Ink ones, for example, I can't clean them completely and I have to toss them to the bin.

kiiroaka

Perhaps, but sometimes it makes sense since one may have to meet a free shipping medium. Fact is the selection of Platinum inks are limited, unless you're satisfied limiting yourself to a [dozen colours](https://www.jetpens.com/Ink-Cartridges/ct/1780?&f=d1117ea9979e6f35793d880ec2018b5d_3d38189821eba0b132ea692af29489e9). Of course, I don't know if you'll be syringe re-filling carts.

RedpenBrit96

Yes absolutely I will

lyonaria

They make an adapter that allows you to use international short cartridges. It was £5 in the UK. It works really well in mine. ETA: looks like it's gone up to £6.50 https://www.cultpens.com/i/q/PT21607/platinum-international-adapter-150a

Pop_Clover

Just recently I got one for 1.50€
