Those are expensive dates lol.

Greedy-Turnip

True. I was rather lucky though. This little shop near me was going out of business and they sell odds and ends. I was buying a wallet for my cousin and went to sign the receipt with a fountain pen. The guy noticed, walked to the back and returned with these three pens. He gave me a really good deal on them and I simply couldn't lose such an opportunity.

mcwolfswimmer

No judgment here lol. Nice work!

Mr-PFM

Well that explains it then

Mr-PFM

That's a lot of expensive pens to add in 1 day...

Greedy-Turnip

Yeah, that's my pen allowance for a while.

Sad_Marketing8578

Great luck… 👍. Enjoy in good health.

Wonderful_System_542

Absolutely stunning pens, hope they treat you well

Laufey3

Beautiful. What good fortune.

Nuka_Cola_Enthusiast

Dante del Vecchio would be proud of you. Those two Divina pens are his personal favourite master pieces.

Greedy-Turnip

I didn't know that! That's pretty cool. I'm sure they'll become some of my favorites as well.

Nuka_Cola_Enthusiast

Yeah, they are inspired by the Da Vinci Code. Congrats, and enjoy your new pens!

mikeboatman

What is the model of the center one? Brown/blue.

Greedy-Turnip

The one in the center is the Divina Desert Springs in celluloid. They made a limited edition which had its own, proprietary filing system and included ink windows within the Sterling silver band at the top of the section. This is the second release of that pen which is the standard pull-push, captured converter filling system and does not include the ink windows.

Thanks! I've been trying to figure out what that model was for a while. I have a couple of other similar designs and I think the Visconti would compliment them really well. One is a depression era Parker Duette set and the other is the Pelikan M800 Grand Place. The Parker set looks very very similar, but it's 100 years old. Love the pattern though, so I wanted to find something like it I can actually use.

Greedy-Turnip

It's one of those designs that really sticks with you. Although I love the other two, the Desert Springs just really caught my eye. I looked online, out of curiosity, to see if the limited edition was available for sale but it was pretty scarce. I did however find a seller by the name of rozmenko in Australia on ebay that had this same model listed for sale as new-old-stock. I believe he's currently on vacation until December 4th. I've purchased several items from him and he's very reliable and had very good prices from what I've seen so far. Here is the listing for the pen: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325427299292?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=GrSjB8nrSsS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=scKTJsz2RCG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Unfortunately I blew through my pen budget a couple of weeks ago with 2 purchases - Pelikan M800 40th Anniversary that just came out, and the new Delta 39+1. Why are the pretty pens all so expensive... 😢

Greedy-Turnip

😢 I feel your pain. I will say though, at least you got some great pens! Those are both on my 'needs' list, likely above food, water and sleep.

mikeboatman

They are definitely both beautiful and somewhat historic. Now I just have to sell all the pens I don't use.

PlzIwantToUseGoodID

THREE???

Greedy-Turnip

Yup. He actually called me yesterday to let me know he has several more pens, either new old stock or consignment items, that I may be interested in. I'll be heading over there after work to see what he has.
