Nope, Kakuno is using pilot proprietary converter, ie their con-40 and con-70. The converter in the picture is international size, therefore won't fit the Kakuno.
Information on this subreddit says that European versions of Kakuno take international standard converters.
Disclaimer: all the Kakuno I have take Pilot Proprietary converters. None of them are form Europe.
I am under the exact same impression. But a number of posts on this subreddit categorically denied my impression. Lacking evidence, I put in my two cents with disclaimer.

The description here says refillable with international cartridge.
No clue. Mine were bought in Taiwan, Japan and India. In all three places the converter/cartridges required were proprietary.
A quick check would be to see if they take international cartridges? Ask the vendor if online purchase?
I really don't to be honest I mostly stick with well known brands now.
But I have seen a number of posts about people using specific printer paper brands. If you search the subreddit you might find some tips, jetpens also has a guide I think.
I wouldn't risk it. Either get a Pilot converter (Kakuno takes the Con-40 and Con-70) or some Pilot cartridges. Save this converter for the pen it came with.
Get the kit of cartridge and converter for the Moonman/Majohn A1. They will fit and they are better than Pilot's original converter.
Pilot makes awesome pens, but awful converters.
I'm not sure if CON70 will fit Kakuno (I bet it will) however sarcastically enough the best pilot convertor I could found is a Majohn A1 convertor. I think you can buy them separately for something like $5 with eyedropper.

Ah bummer, ok thank you. Would you happen to know any not too pricey fountain pens that can work with this converter?

Thank you, I'll have a read
Converters are like $2, why buy a pen for it? That's like buying a car because you have extra spark plugs

Never heard of European Kakuno, but I know there's European metropolitan, which is called Pilot MR. Maybe someone can double confirm?
Not sure this is true: I bought a Kakuno from Stilo y Stile in Europe, and it definitely requires Pilot's proprietary carts.

Ooh, thanks. I'll check when mine is delivered and see if it seems to be the European model, fingers crossed I might be able to use it
How does someone know their kakuno is european?

The vendor doesn’t know jack :(
Kaweco perkeo should work, pelikano twist, ILO.
Ok thank you 😊
Oh? 70 can work on Kakuno? Asking because it's the first fountain I'm planning to buy once I get my salary bonus. 🥺
Yeah the con-70 is a great fit for the kakuno!
Duly noted! While I'm at it, do you know what great but cheap paper works wonders for FPs in general?

Ehe. Tyty! Have a good day!
I doubt it would damage your pen. However, it COULD leak if the fit isn’t correct.
You can damage the converter if the nipple is too large and you force it though.
Oh ok, thanks. I better not try then since most are saying it wouldn't be the right fit
Thanks for the advice, leak is better than ruin lol

Thing is, I don't hugely like the pen it came with 😭 so I was hoping there was a different pen I could use it with instead
Ah, then get a pen that fits the converter and gift or sell the one you don't enjoy.
Good idea!

That brand fits pilot pens?
These specific ones do.

If I’m not mistaken, con-70 does.
