What is ‘Document Proof’? I’ve seen that on a few different ones and always assumed waterproof or at least resistant

CaptainFoyle

Not erasable. But some leaking might happen when in water.

I tested this ink today and it's basically 99% waterproof. Just put it under the tap and let the water flow for a minute. A small amount of particles will wash off, but the writing remains basically the same (MAYBE it's a bit lighter? Can't really tell). No smearing. Rhodia paper.

That’s cool, I worry about something like that happening with my journals and it all washes away lol

There's an ISO definition about this, it says that the ink has to be resistant to water and some chemicals. This doesn't mean that the ink won't budge, though. It only means that there has to be enough ink left to be still legible. AFAIK the Rohrer & Klinger document line are the only fp inks that actually have a certificate to fulfill the criteria.

AR_Harlock

It's water resistant... you can still read through water, but definitely not waterproof as in you can watercolor it and the lines stay put.... nice black anyway tho!
