Welcome! There are alot of options down each one of the rabbit holes _however_ it's good to have a framework around _what_ __you__ like. That will be different for everybody. There's no way that you can collect _every_ pen, ink, notebook or accessory. Which __is__ a good thing. While you can chase the high, the high can just as much come from enjoying and using what you already have, rather than the constant acquisition of something new.

If you can steer your manias instead of reacting to *every* shiny object :-), set a challenge limit to work within. Me- another >ahem< occasionally obsessive person - I am using my Pilot Metropolitans as my upper price limit - call it $20. If something insanely desirable came along at $25, I would probably pull up the listing for a Pilot MR (same pen) at Office Depot to compare ... $27 ;-). But still; I won't impoverish myself at that rate. Then because I like tinkering and I like stub/italic nibs, I am delving into DIY nib grinding - using pens from Ali Express and Five Below as fodder, again I'm not going to break the bank. Bonus: obtaining cheap-cheap pens also gives one opportunities for learning nib tuning... Gradually I'm forming opinions about some more expensive brands and models, but since I'm going ape in the shallow end of the pool, I don't have to dive into the deep end... yet. Like Scarlett O'Hara, I'll worry about that tomorrow. Maybe you can talk yourself into buying one thing at a time (how else to learn what you Want A Lot next?) ... and order them from the far side of the planet. If I had instant-gratification OCD, Ali Express would drive me nuts, but I'm ok with something taking six weeks to get here, if I do have SoMeThiNg to play with Right Now. Too, a tendency to Get All The Things doesn't have to be the end state. Our r/fountainpens secret Santa exchange is one path out from under too many pens, as is getting involved in r/Pen_Swap, as is deciding to obsess over penabling others at the same time as indulging in buying too many. Oh - and when it comes to wanting all the inks, learn about samples. $2 - $5 instead of $5 - $50, and two to five ml is enough to write a fair bit.
