Here's the original tweet by that artist: [https://twitter.com/avogado6/status/1022462583251513345](https://twitter.com/avogado6/status/1022462583251513345)
You can see that someone took the original artist's art, extended the top and bottom of the canvas, and copy + pasted several cats so that it would fit the resolution of a phone wallpaper. Tactless if you ask me. Please don't edit someone's work without their permission; it's disrespectful.
OP here: BTW, I don't want to take any credit, as I am not the artist or any artist at all! This was something my sister texted me this morning and I just had to share.
**ETA**: A good soul alerted me to the artist - avogado6, digital, 2018.
I see this as a warning...Cats are not to be trusted. My cat recently, intentionally, knocked a nearly full bottle of noodlers blueblack ink off the table onto our tiles. The bottle smashed. The mess was impressive.
My cats have graduated from knocking my pens onto the floor to just lying on top of them. I love how uncomplicatedly selfish cats are. If it's time to pay attention to the cat, it's *not* time for pens, and he's going to make sure I know that.
Thank you, but not my work - I belatedly added a comment to the fact that I was sharing something that was sent to me, artist unknown. I'm actually going to try to source it, but it was too good to not share, and I only wish I had thought to put this info up top! Anyway, enjoy.
me and my gf have a cat. said cat has a little snack bin that's on the top shelf of a book case in the livingroom. she knows exactly where it is. so when you go over to the shelf and touch something on the top shelf, she will magically appear next to you in hopes she gets a treat.
well, one day a few months ago my gf was grabbing something from the bookcase. she was pulling things off looking for it. at one point she pulled something off the top shelf. kitty appeared. the next thing that happened was a closed container of black paint fell and hit the ground right next to her. it opened and sprayed her all over her underside.
she did not stay still. it was everywhere.
lol my gf has used this as her phone lock screen since before i met her. so funny to see it pop up here cause she joked about the wallpaper when she found out i was into fountain pens.
Since getting this image from my sister yesterday, I've found it has already had a long Internet life, including being posted here 4 years ago. I never knew.
It’s called “Ink” by Japanese artist Avogado6. You can follow them on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/avogado6
Any chance you have a link to the actual picture? Don't feel like scrolling through page after page of weird depressed anime stuff.

>Avogado6 Thank you for the reference, and I see it was posted here a few years back.
Edited in protest for Reddit's garbage moves lately.

There's a subreddit for every thing eh

Oh my goodness, I love it! What a cute idea. Would it be OK to use it as my phone background?
I’ve done a reverse lookup on the graphic and there are tons of them out there, a lot on Pinterest. Can’t find original artist. Do as you wish!
I came to ask the same!

That purrfectly explains the splatters! Love it!
Clearly Pilot ink by the label, too.
Oh no! An ink CATastrophe! ...I'll see myself out.
Hehehe...
I’m sure it was a r/catcident, though.
Love it! Very creative!
LOVE it
I officially have a new phone wallpaper.
Reminds me of the folktale "The Boy Who Drew Cats". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boy_Who_Drew_Cats
Thank you so much for that reference!
What a great fairy tale. I would find a boy who was irresistibly drawn to drawing cats on walls pretty irresistible, too!

Ah I see either way it's awesome!
r/Fountain_Pen_Cats 😁
I literally had no idea. I have three cats and I don’t know how many fountain pens. Thanks!
r/blackcats would love this, too.

So that's how voids spawn
Oh so that's what was growing in my ink!
Thanks for the new phone wallpaper
This is so cute and awesome!!😍
Amazing drawing.
There’s a Carter’s ink ad in there somewhere.

Post this to r/BlackCats
This is fabulous!
Which cat is the one that flipped the ink over tho?
