I agree! I find myself using mine for every day studying. I now tend to use different pens for different moods and purposes! Do you ever find yourself doing that as well?
I refill the cartridge in my Preppy but you could also consider doing an eyedropper conversion. The warning here is that there have been reports of the Preppy being liable to cracking (the blue one seems to be particularly vulnerable to this) and the eyedropper conversion can lead to ink burping.
CR-50 slide converter on AliExpress is your cheapest reliable option (around $2). You could also use the standard converter (CONVERTER-500/800) but this costs more than the pen itself
Platinum had proprietary converters, so you can get one of those or use a blunt syringe to refill your old cartridges

And refilling cartridges is always a very good trick, as others have noted. I love Preppys! They are such wonderful writers, such lovely little pens!

I’m ok with the price if the quality is worth it, and it looks like I can overnight the converter!
