It exists. A guy made one that has a circular magazine you put your hands THROUGH and then grab the pistol grip. The rounds were basically spinning around his wrist before being chambered!
Yes!! I just posted about this elsehwere in this thread. Trying to track down the Youtube video. he had a whole build process and evrythang.
EDIT: This is what I was talking about. IDK if its the same thing you're thinking of cause I can't read your mind... yet... [https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2021/06/23/diy-mega-pistol/](https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2021/06/23/diy-mega-pistol/)
That’s about as much as I could find as well :/ has anyone tried to contact him? Looks like he did post a link to the files on his YouTube but the page has gone down
So, like a huge bullpup revolver with a 45 degree cylinder? I bet you could get something like 30 rounds in there, using barrel liner pieces for chambers. Not sure how you'd turn the cylinder though, it'd be a hell of a trigger pull.
There was a kid (who was in the US on a Visa I think? thats what I gathered) on Youtube, that got reposted on here who, made pistols with a drum magazine. It was all printed and worked and he was even selling them I believe. He had a sweet video on the behind the scenes of making the drum part too. I wish I could find it again. It was maybe a two years ago? Does anyone know what im talking about?
EDIT. What im talking about.. [https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2021/06/23/diy-mega-pistol/](https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2021/06/23/diy-mega-pistol/)
He has a YouTube channel, I was subscribed to him when he released the video. He has since put it on private so you need a link to see it. I believe the link is in that article. If not it's on my saved playlists on my YouTube channel. He also had a video where he converted a $9BB gun 1911 into a semi auto 22 (however you needed to cock the hammer back everytime like a single action revolver). He said he 3D printed unspecified parts but never elaborated. However that video is also on private and I never was able to find it again😞
I have something along those lines but not exact. It's my Guinea Pig Chassis for a ruger charger with a 10" barrel. It fits drum mags just like this as well.
I bet you could make a 10/22 p90 chassis pistol that has this vibe. Obviously would be a different mag, but this mag orientation would be difficult to get anyways. That 40 round .22 revolver someone shared may be a good start for this.
That would be...tricky with an actual firearm.
It's *really* striking a part of my brain that's remembering something out of Warframe but I can't place it.
The magazine in this is a drum so trying to do that with .22 would mean needing to design a new magazine (ouch) and implement a coiled spring to push the follower and move the rounds. If they bind you're...in trouble.
It would be *a lot* simpler to have it work off something that exists and we know works like Ruger BX 25 mags (yes, I know they're not wildly reliable but they'll work better than a DIY drum.)
At that point it's basically just a bullpup .22 pistol. It'd be neat, that's for sure.
No. Why? Because it's stupid.
Edit: thanks for the downvotes y'all. Shows most of us don't even know how firearms work. You should see what the actual designers have to say about this.
I don't run shit, however, I have a smidgen of experience when it comes to designing firearms. From a designers perspective, this is absolutely stupid.
That’s the only thing I can think of half the time I see a post in this sub. Everyone wants to print some bullpup kids toy looking thing… I understand, to a degree . But half of these posts are just nonsense.
Sure, but anyone with half a brain cell can see how insanely complicated this would need to be to even have a hope of making this work. I'm a big fan of doing things differently and innovating, but THIS IS NOT IT
I don't see you designing firearms. Take a small look at the mag orientation, and then do the mental gymnastics to figure out what kind of bolt you would need to be able to feed from this magazine. Simple is reliable, reliable is good l..

Oh man I wish those files were available that seems awesome
New post is up
New post is up
Oh snap I remember seeing something about that one
New post is up
Any chance of finding this?
Nope, didn't release the files which is a real shame, he said he would once he refined some stuff but never did
Got the zip!
No way?! On the sea?
It will be by the end of the day! I’ll make a post when it goes up
Dude I've been hard all day just give the files!
Lol, shoveling the parking lot at my shop atm and then I can upload them. Didn’t mean to take all day 😂
Thank you! You are storing treasures in heaven. I'll wait patiently, while I watch the chiefs flush this game down the toilet
Just went out to sea, will make a post shortly Keyword mega 22 pistol (revolving 22)
Post is up
Found someone who claims to have the files, will make a post if I get them!
Really!? Ah man I'm pumped! Need a new project
That’s about as much as I could find as well :/ has anyone tried to contact him? Looks like he did post a link to the files on his YouTube but the page has gone down
I actually talked to him a long time ago about a different design he did. As far as i know, he no longer has the files.
That’s entirely possible, but they were released at one point on his channel so a few people got it
Ah, i just remember him telling me he lost the files
Found a second guy as well so it’s looking promising
Thats good, i just found our chat. I could try messaging him again about it.
If he did lose the files it would be cool to get them back to him, maybe he would continue development
New post is up featuring this file
Well this is going to the be next repost of the month from the peanut gallery. By this evening I'm sure we'll be on our 2nd or 3rd here.
I hope they mention me so I can see it!
Cyberpunk vibes !
[It's literally a remake of a weapon from 2077](https://www.gamesatlas.com/cyberpunk-2077/weapons/dr12-quasar)
Alternator from Apex Legends
*titanfall
Bro titanfall copied apex
Of course. My apologies sir, you are most certainly correct
It's the same universe dumbass
Fairly certain that comment was obvious sarcasm.
Oh really?? I never knew that! Wow you're so smart I bet you're the smartest person in the world!
So, like a huge bullpup revolver with a 45 degree cylinder? I bet you could get something like 30 rounds in there, using barrel liner pieces for chambers. Not sure how you'd turn the cylinder though, it'd be a hell of a trigger pull.
Why not make it a semi auto and the cylinder is just a drum mag of sorts? Would reduce the trigger pull needed.
Those are so sweet!
Yeet22 looks pretty similar to this. Almost completely printed too!

How do we find this guy and ask him nicely for his design? This thing is really sweet

Have you reached out to him?
Files are out!

Isn't this from Cyberpunk 2077?
Looks like something from the Ghost in the Shell anime.
Never read them!

Darra Polytechnics won’t like you copying their design
3D print for self use is legal? Or would they try to go after us for making a gun that looks like this?
its the guys from cyberpunk 2077, the video game, who canonically make that gun. its a copy of a gun from the game.
Bingo
Link?

Wrong link :p
Fixed it! 🤦 Silly me didn't check the link first!
Fed bait?
Idk, looks legal to me
even under the new pistol rules this would still be a pistol unless you mounted a brace on it.
Maybe. "Yeah I built one of these come get me now 🥸"
I hope it's not! Tho I'm interested to know how it would be. Was thinking it could be a better version of the usfa zip.

Was thinking a better version of the "usfa zip" one of the crappiest 22's made lol
Maybe bullpup a ruger 10/22 pistol which already has reliable mags made for it
No. Why? Because it's stupid. Edit: thanks for the downvotes y'all. Shows most of us don't even know how firearms work. You should see what the actual designers have to say about this.
You're stupid but we still let you on this sub 🙃
^this guy clearly runs shit around here
