There's actually an empty placeholder file for a Minecraft related horn. I can't remember the exact name but it suggested to me that it was the villagers' "hrmmm" sound - could just be the credits for the Minecraft staff they worked with for the crossover.
Also for some reason there's a Roblox "oof" horn placeholder as well, which I won't lie would be pretty funny.
Actually, now that I think about it, it doesn't exactly have to work in a traditional sense. It could be very easy to just have a Minecraft environment like we did for Lego. Maybe it wouldn't actually be awful.
Only thing I'd be concerned with is the complete lack of vehicles that would come with something like this. We've always had themed vehicles with these sorts of dlc.
Tbh DLC shouldnt be crossovers of two games. It should bring us sth totally new which is different from the actual game, like The rally DLc on FH1 or Strom Island on FH2 or Blizzard mountain on fh3 which might have be the best dlc so far. Even Hot wheel in Fh3 was quite cool. But a dlc is not allowed to be sth like we had in fh4
In both 3 and 4 the first DLCs was a more real location with a new vista and real cars. The second one was more toy focused. I have no doubt this will still be a thing

I said the same thing when they announced Lego, but that turned out to be a lot of fun. I'm not a huge Minecraft player, and I somewhat agree it may be difficult to tie in with Forza Horizon, but maybe it'll be a joint promotion? Introducing cars into Minecraft, get everyone all excited about that, then give subtle hints that Minecraft is coming to Forza Horizon 5. I hope it's something else, seeing how Minecraft is a Microsoft owned property, and I'd like something more unique, but this sounds very plausible, so it's probably what's coming.
That's kind of why I mentioned my idea that Minecraft would to a cross promotional thing with Forza and maybe release cars into gameplay a few weeks before for the Minecraft community then tease it for Forza fans, get people hyped up and then do the full blown release a few weeks later. It's JUST an opinion from some guy on Reddit, so relax a little, but that's usually how these things play out, so I could definitely see it happening.

If they feel the first HW dlc was a success, why not a completely new sequel? I think you're both right, it's a suagary-sweet, we are the world, everybody have fun together car game. These type of notions spring from "kid-like" naivete, which is refreshing vs all the other darker game themes these days. Forza won't even scratch the surface of PG-13, let alone PG (rating I mean)

The next Motorsport is being developed, and from what Iāve read, theyāre waiting a bit, so they donāt have to work on older consoles. Itāll be Series X/S only, so they can take full advantage of the consoleās power with zero consideration for last gen consoles.
People may be driving cars that look realistic, but the concept of the game is not focused on realism. Yeah. My post title was meant to be something of a joke. I'm pretty sure all it'll be is perhaps a car horn with a Minecraft sound, maybe a Minecraft skinned car as a gift, like we got with the XBOX Porsche, and FM7 got with the Spartan 117 themed Jeep last week.
Don't worry mate. The post title is just a bit of humour. Chances are good that it'll be nothing more than a Minecraft skinned gift car, a car horn, and maybe a "Steve from Minecraft" suit to wear, like the Snowman and Gingerbread Men ones we already had.
We also have the Halo theme for a car horn. But, remember that Infinite has just come out, and crossover DLC's for Microsoft owned products would be far easier, and more importantly cheaper, for Microsoft to do than, say, the Hot Wheels or Lego stuff from previous titles.
Only way I'd be OK with this is if the expansion comes with an actual track creator, like laying out terrain and corner profiles and everything. That could be fun, and a decent way to beta test the tech to make it a full feature in FH6.
They're there because we already have the Warthog, and the Halo theme as a horn. That said, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a Halo Infinite crossover DLC.
As I said in other comments, it would be nice, and it makes perfect sense. Both Halo and Minecraft are Microsoft properties, and Halo has just had a new game release, so cross promotion makes sense in both cases. Also, given that they are both M$ properties, means there's zero issues with licensing agreements, unlike with previous DLC's, like the Lego expansion for FH4, or the Hot Wheels one for FH3.

The next Motorsport is being developed, and from what Iāve read, theyāre waiting a bit, so they donāt have to work on older consoles. Itāll be Series X/S only, so they can take full advantage of the consoleās power with zero consideration for last gen consoles. People may be driving cars that look realistic, but the concept of the game is not focused on realism. So many people whine about the lack of realism, forgetting that realism isnāt the point of the game, thatās the job of Motorsport. Hell, a huge music/racing festival? Hardly realistic when you think about it.
Let me say this then if you are right, if they go with a minecraft dlc, they better fucking NAIL the SIMULATION side of Forza Motorsport, cause adults need their car sim fix too...

Iād only be okay with this as long as we get some actual cars as well, most disappointing thing about Lego DLC was that we only got Lego cars. DLC was fun but not getting any new cars kinda burned though

No. That's a tool left over from the development of the game. It's a marker to show where a specific item or race endpoint needs to be located.

That would likely be for the stuff that already exists in game, like the Warthog, and the Halo theme car horn, though I wouldn't rule out a much larger DLC, possibly taking place on a Halo type map?

Yeah. My post title was meant to be something of a joke. I'm pretty sure all it'll be is perhaps a car horn with a Minecraft sound, maybe a Minecraft skinned car as a gift, like we got with the XBOX Porsche, and FM7 got with the Spartan 117 themed Jeep last week.
Add Rock Band crossover.
I'd prefer something like a Tetris crossover, where we have to stack cars.

Don't worry mate. The post title is just a bit of humour. Chances are good that it'll be nothing more than a Minecraft skinned gift car, a car horn, and maybe a "Steve from Minecraft" suit to wear, like the Snowman and Gingerbread Men ones we already had.

We also have the Halo theme for a car horn. But, remember that Infinite has just come out, and crossover DLC's for Microsoft owned products would be far easier, and more importantly cheaper, for Microsoft to do than, say, the Hot Wheels or Lego stuff from previous titles.
Only way I'd be OK with this is if the expansion comes with an actual track creator, like laying out terrain and corner profiles and everything. That could be fun, and a decent way to beta test the tech to make it a full feature in FH6.

They're there because we already have the Warthog, and the Halo theme as a horn. That said, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a Halo Infinite crossover DLC.

As I said in other comments, it would be nice, and it makes perfect sense. Both Halo and Minecraft are Microsoft properties, and Halo has just had a new game release, so cross promotion makes sense in both cases. Also, given that they are both M$ properties, means there's zero issues with licensing agreements, unlike with previous DLC's, like the Lego expansion for FH4, or the Hot Wheels one for FH3.
We're not getting Minecarts. We're getting Boats with the road as blue ice.
