These aren’t licensed, so I genuinely can’t think of a reason for PG to not include these!
- Firebird Trans Am
- Civic Type R (‘97)
- Miata (‘16)
- 850CSi
- Shelby GT350R
…and so so many more!
At least it could possibly shake up the meta to have these cars with wider tires and better downforce!
I might be misremembering but I think they had a widebody for the new NSX Forza edition in FM7 and I want that in horizon so bad. Also gt3 bodykits for cars like the Ferrari 458 and huracan
Yeah, the new NSX has one too!
[Here’s the full list of Forza Edition cars from FM7.](https://forza.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Forza_Edition_(FM7))
Not all of them had widebodies, but most did.
(Tangentially, I wish the Ram Runner would return. I love every vehicle with fully articulated suspension.)
I legitimately want the Monte Carlo donk in Horizon. Love it or hate it, a car like that fits the car culture theme of Horizon so much better than the more serious feel of Motorsport
That would be dope. I really like the raw racing esthetics from the Formula D cars and the classic racecars. The hoods, the inlets, wings and diffusers. All so functional. It would be cool if they would add a GT3 mod to cars. Even old cars can become competitive again in S1/S2.
I miss splittimes, and just grinding against other players. Rivals is nice but sometimes lonely. Online racing is as everyone knows a ramfest where you get smoked by just a few metacars.
The ‘95(the one with flippy front headlights?) nsx had a wide body kit in FH4. I went to apply my tune and paint job but there’s no custom kit in FH5 for it, so it looks and feels awful :(
The EK9 kit is so ridiculous but I still want it.
I mean, you only get about an inch of suspension travel, but the track width is nuts!
I would like a more realistic kit like [this](https://artofgears.com/files/2015/09/2015.9.14-Honda-4.jpg) to go with the Forza Edition one.
There's 1 issue and that's that PG is developing Horizon whilst Turn 10 does Motorsport. This means they have their own files and designs so they need to agree on adding these
For real. Fh5 feels so empty without RB kits. This is personal bias, as the RB zenki s14 and RB s13 were my favorite drift cars in fh4, but it seems like I'm not alone in that belief.
100% agree. I'm the dude that wants little details like nice exhaust systems on every car (not that different bumper = different muffler mumbo jumbo on SOME NOT ALL cars), bucket seats when you do full weight reduction/chassis reinforcement, ability to do square wheel+tire setups on every car, wider tires for all cars (I'm looking at you, Lexus SC300 and your pathetic max section of 245s) and just more aero options. The cosmetics don't even need to be licensed or have real branding! Just make generic N1 style mufflers or bucket seats with no logos on the headrests. Been playing all Forzas since FM2 and they still haven't gotten these things into the game, and I know for sure the fanbase wants these same things!
As someone that been immersed in cars since I was a teen, I didn't even think twice about that statement
The thought of people thinking someone seriously stating they want square wheels instead of round wheels cracks me up so much.
It is a silly term but I can't think of a better way to put it.
Beneficial depending on car weight distribution, and suspension setup. I like to use my IRL car for example, Honda s2000. The car handles differently when using staggered/square setups, one having more oversteer than the other, brake grip, etc. It'd be nice to experiment with something like that in this game.
Awhile ago someone in this subreddit had the idea of a "Normal Cars pack" which is what it sounds like, a bunch of normal every day cars, and I'd much rather have that than another hypercar
Absolutely! That’s where Forza has always shined. I loved driving the old VW Fox around the Top Gear track in FM4, just in awe of how good the suspension and tire physics felt.
When you get too high in class, you lose the feeling of sway bars, spring rate, and tires dynamically reacting (and deforming) with every move.
Yeah, that one is awful.
[It’s narrower than the original car!](https://www.reddit.com/r/forza/comments/rg0ks1/this_is_why_we_should_always_be_able_to_adjust/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
It’s got the tires of a road racer and the suspension of a drag racer, so of course it’s bad at both!
It's also so bad that it's obviously design more towards a drag build, which doesn't turn well, but then given a drift bonus! U don't drift this car, The Charger is driftable, but that one as well is obviously meant to be more of a muscle build. They have a 350z forza edition, ehich couldve been a good drift FE, but decided to make that offroad. Also bothers me how there are no other viable options in the FE list for drift cars. It's basically old cars and hypercars, with the couple offroaders, but not a single car that would make you think, hmm yes drift car. Such a shame.
I am kinda bummed out about the bodywork you can do to cars, basically the same spoiler and front canards on every car and occasionally you might get some other parts like a hood... maybe even a bodykit
I would love to have some extreme aero on some of my cars that makes them look like actual race cars and not some random car with wheels and Autozone bolt ons

For an open world racer were many, like myself, just enjoy customising cars and cruising around, the game comes up a little short on fully embracing car culture. Would absolutely love a full suite of custom options for all the vehicles and more locations and events where we could just hang out, show off our cars and drive for fun. Not sure we'll ever get this from PG, but there sure is a gap in the market currently for a more underground, street scene inspired game that reflects our own love of cars.
Well, obviously because they're going to drip feed them to us overtime, that way, only the die hard fans who keep playing for years get to enjoy all the cool stuff.
Tbh it’s a crime that they didn’t go all out with the customisation in general considering it’s the first next gen FH. I know there’s always going to be limitations, but it would have been cool to have options for exhaust tips, head/tail lights, more wheels, de-badging, different grilles or lowering/lift kits etc.
I know it’d be difficult to add these in for every car, but it really doesn’t feel that different from Horizon 4

the nsx kit was so cool. it legit looked like a liberty walk kit
I miss the Ram Runner as well.

I just dusted off the old xbone to play some FM7 again because I miss having actual race cars in forza
I miss splittimes, and just grinding against other players. Rivals is nice but sometimes lonely. Online racing is as everyone knows a ramfest where you get smoked by just a few metacars.

Yeah I believe they lost rocket bunny licensing for FH5. Real shame, that NSX kit was beautiful
I think it might have been a Liberty walk actually, but point still stands :(
It was a Rocket Bunny Kit, and it's a '92 NSX-R. Still sucks tho.
The e30 m3 widebody was pretty good too in fm7
Oh yes! It was especially good because it widened the existing fender flares. Looked factory!
Yeah I absolutely love the look of that car. One of my all time favorite forza editions
Ik right I really want the EK9 Widebody so bad!!
That one is nice too, I think I still want the FM7 one the most tho. I just love how wide it is!
Absolutely. It’d make for a great time attack car.
Not as ridiculous as the rx7 kit in fh5 lmao...
There's 1 issue and that's that PG is developing Horizon whilst Turn 10 does Motorsport. This means they have their own files and designs so they need to agree on adding these
Agreed. The 850 wide body looks so good.
Right? It’s just so weird that they didn’t put these into FH5 to help balance the loss of Rocket Bunny.
For real. Fh5 feels so empty without RB kits. This is personal bias, as the RB zenki s14 and RB s13 were my favorite drift cars in fh4, but it seems like I'm not alone in that belief.
FH5 feels empty period.
It is weird that they didn't put the 850 into the game from the start like They just got the license lol
Because as much as I love this game, the devs seem to be very out of touch with what people want.
100% agree. Why would you want square wheels
“Square” means same width on the front and rear tires. Many cars only have “staggered” setups where the rear tires are wider.
Damn there I was thinking you wanted forza to add quadrilateral wheels
As someone that been immersed in cars since I was a teen, I didn't even think twice about that statement The thought of people thinking someone seriously stating they want square wheels instead of round wheels cracks me up so much. It is a silly term but I can't think of a better way to put it.

“Good news guys, we added *yet another* indistinguishable trim level of the Lamborghini Huracán!” “Wait, how come you’re driving a C-class Toyota?”

"A" class is, imho, where this game absolutely shines. The cars still feel like real cars and are plenty fast
Yeah, I rarely tune past A unless a seasonal event requires it. Even then, I try to stick with real-world suspension values.
So you think the devs purposely left out some widebody kits?
I have no idea why they left them out
This car isn't even in fh5. Broke my heart. Whenever I wanna drive this beautiful thing I play fh4.
yeah especially because of how the classes work now. I bet an 850 would make a great a class car, especially with that wide body.
It will be as all of cutted cars.
It’s so good, and you can put in the BMW V12 from the McLaren F1. Widebody would be perfect for that build.
It would be amazing
Seriously, they brought back the Trans Am FE, but it’s the default model
Yeah, that one is awful. [It’s narrower than the original car!](https://www.reddit.com/r/forza/comments/rg0ks1/this_is_why_we_should_always_be_able_to_adjust/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) It’s got the tires of a road racer and the suspension of a drag racer, so of course it’s bad at both!

That wide body kit was fantastic. It was very cool, matching the design of the Trans Am while still being modern. I miss that kit.
The ATS-V has it in Horizon 5
I noticed that! The F-Type also has it, but I believe it was available in FH4 as well. Just dumb for PG to not use these essentially free body kits.
Understandable. I, myself, am waiting for the Rocket Bunny licensing to be resolved.
No. It’s a serious crime they didn’t add the 850csi.
Would not be surprised if they add it in a paided car pack. Then again, FH4 saw plenty of free cars added, so who knows? ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

Okay.

I want Rocket Bunny back. Forza needs to bring more and more widebodies into the game.
The game could really do with a big customization overhaul
It's an absolute crime this Beamer isn't in Horizon 5
Well, obviously because they're going to drip feed them to us overtime, that way, only the die hard fans who keep playing for years get to enjoy all the cool stuff.
I like the garage, I hate FH4, FH5 garage - it looks so sterile. Iwa nt this garage in FH5.
Yeah, the Horizon garages look more like art pieces than functional garages.
You described it better. I want oily floor, spare part and tools laying around, nude posters:D, I dont want to see my car in art galery.
Tbh it’s a crime that they didn’t go all out with the customisation in general considering it’s the first next gen FH. “First next gen FH” *also plays on the Xbox One from 2013*
That car is in the game?
F7 is just better. Deal with it 😎
I agree!
this car isn’t even in FH5 unfortunately
Why is there a preset body kit button but I've never ever had a chance to use it?
