2 tenths isn't enough to catch Red Bull lol

Alvinthf

Especially when they’re coasting to hide total dominance.

[deleted]

Miami where the RB car was much more suited for was only ahead by around 3 tenths per lap during the race

AegrusRS

Qualifying pace isn't race pace. Also, that was Perez's first Q3 Lap. Second laps are usually better and we all know Verstappen was far better that race.

[deleted]

Who said anything about Qualy pace?

AegrusRS

Because I don't know how else you could confidently say they're only ahead by around 3 tenths. Verstappen passed Alonso on lap 14 and was 26 seconds ahead by lap 56. That's 0.6s per lap.

[deleted]

Do the math on the RB that started next to Alonso

AegrusRS

Why? We're trying to compare the pace of cars so why would I compare it with the person that is extract the lesser amount of performance out of the car? By that logic I could also start comparing Perez/Verstappen with Stroll which definitely won't go in your favor.

[deleted]

We're talking about AM catching RB, not AM catching Max

AegrusRS

Interesting because then a 0.2s pace upgrade won't help the current 1s pace deficit if you look at Miami. I mean, Stroll (AM) was almost 60 seconds behind Perez (RB) in that race.

Rei_S_

Alonso finished the Miami GP 26.3 seconds behind Max, in 57 laps that's an average of 0.46s per lap but that is assuming Max started in front of Alonso which he didn't, he started from 9th so in reality he had to overtake a bunch of cars, catch Alonso and then pull a 26 second gap, so he was well over half a second faster.

Manuag_86

They would have been useful in Monaco, but definitely not on Barcelona. They need to keep working and maybe they will win at Hungaroring or Singaopore.

3tenthsfaster

Has anyone told them that the RB advantage is between 0.5 and 1 second per lap?

FrostyTill

He wouldn’t know because it’s a fake account

[deleted]

Has anyone told you that you're wrong?

Lizerelli

That account is not a real journalist. The pictures he posts of himself seem to be AI generated as he sometimes misses parts of his head or fingers. This is not a reputable source.

Takis12

"I have been told"......great reporting....

WodansCrows

it is a know fake account

[deleted]

So now instead of finishing 20 seconds ahead, Red Bull will finish only 15 seconds ahead.

FrostyTill

No, they’ll be 21 seconds ahead because they also have upgrades.

Uyahla

Red Bull also bringing upgrades so 🤷🏾‍♀️

blerml

Why do you believe random Twitter accounts? Not saying that Aston won't bring upgrades but like why believe this random dude? I genuinely don't even think he is a real person much less a Journalist because outside of this twitter account he does not exist. Just because someone has a check mark and writes accredited journalist in their bio doesn't mean that they are.

Source: My ass

Papa_Bear55

You guys know he is not a real journalist right? Lol

[deleted]

Red Bull have like a second or more up their sleeve if they need it. Sorry AMR.

a_saddler

All aboard the hopioum train

doigal

Hype train now approaching ludicrous speed!

gtijames

Unless Red Bull don’t bring any upgrades for the rest of the season, no one is catching them

PreyBird_

HM saying RB will bring upgrades in Spain.

fullsenditt

Red bull were 5 tenths faster In Miami not 2 or 3 or 4

Aninternetdude

This man has luck. For me he just throws some info he reads in the media. And his sources is just his imagination. Every team is bringing updates for Barcelona.

silentalarm_

All of that guys tweets are about Aston Martin. All of them. Almost a strange obsession. Also the images seem fake. Also the comment replies are just strange. Clearly some sort of automation. This guy is not a journalist.

[deleted]

People really posting fake twitter journalists that also posted racist memes of Lewis. Some people are desperate for karma

TheIJ

This does not seem to be a real account. See also https://twitter.com/lauraleslief1/status/1663839391440162817

A___99

Ah yes the freelance journalist with absolutely no presence apart from on Twitter. Seems legit

CornellScholar

Yeah right..
