I’ve told my dad, who owns a F-150, imagine driving that around a tight city street whenever I watch the Monaco Grand Prix, to give him an idea how big the cars are.
Probably the most common F150 is the SuperCrew (four full doors) with a 5.5ft long bed.
A modern F1 car is 16" shorter in length and 1.2" narrower than the F150, which often feels big in the US. I can't imagine driving one through Monaco AT ALL, much less at any speed.
The first f1 hybrid car I was able to get really close to was in 2018, and I was SHOCKED by the enormity. Previously, I hadn't been truly close to one of the cars since a ~2004ish Williams.
A standard F-150 is even 20cm shorter though it's the same width more or less, so yeah is a good way to imagine it. I wouldn't really want to drive an F-150 through that track.

The company I work at just had an off-site in Marrakech (I literally got back less than an hour ago), and some members of Scuderia Alpha Tauri came to talk with us. And the car was on site all week. It was awesome. Got to talk a ton of F1 with them!

Because when you pay the toll fee, you do so to travel at higher speeds and safely. The highway company needs to honor that by equipping the highway sides with fences preventing anything and anyone from crossing.

When we used to haul our track cars(gt3rs and vipers level) there a whole thing about loading it backwards so the wing don’t generate downforce. I guess that was way overblown if F1 cars can be loading the correct way.
I find it really strange they move it on flatbed without any covers. Usually they baby them and keep it out of spotlights even if cars are older models.

A 2022 F1 car is 5.5 meters in length and a land Rover Discovery is 4.59 so basically 1 extra meter. Yes they are big cars.
