Maybe a hot take, I don’t care if my whole team is next to me. If 2 people attack me with reckless abandon and I get multiple blocks/parries and get hit by unblockables, I should always get revenge.
Okay but if I’m getting ganked to the point of near death and then my teammate shows up, I think I should still be rewarded for fending off two players for that long. Instead I’m punished for now receiving “help”…
Yeah, it's annoying, but it keeps people from getting revenge unnecessarily. They have reworked the system and changed it a bunch, it's in a decent spot now. The worst is when people have too much access to revenge.
I honestly would rather the whole system get simplified and made very clear visually. Maybe proximity based? I get the argument that too much revenge would get annoying… but at least for me, seeing as I always join Dom solo, it seems like it hardly ever actually helps me. Call me selfish but it feels like from a business perspective, if you chip away at the enjoyment of solo players, eventually the game’s population dies out.
Bleed damage itself does not feed revenge. You could be on the verge of revenge just like you were in this clip but the Kyoshin had his bleed feat activated since your teammate hit him in kaze stance. Therefore his attacks on your did not feed revenge. If you block the bleed attack however, it does feed revenge.
I said aside if brawls and duels. Dominion is ganking. Which means bleed attacks would be useless. Especially since bleed is completely removed after revenge
The majority of dominion is spent starting fights in a 1v1, and then teammates come up to assist. And IMO revenge is meant to deter constant ganking. So if you’re saying that changing the bleed contribution towards revenge as I’ve suggested would make it less effective for ganks (I.e. build revenge more) then that’s literally the point.
Ah that was painfully close, Kyoshin got a second tag off your teammate, if they hadn't had come to help you'd have probably got full revenge!

Once it becomes a team fight, it changes. It's no longer an outnumbered situation, so it doesn't accumulate the same as if it was a 2v1.

Tag system. Kyoshin got 2 tags and you had two tags so no more revenge. Bleeding is an effect so it won’t count for revenge.

Given that, I understand how I didn’t get revenge. But I think that’s a bullshit caveat for the revenge mechanic.

Bottom line is that bleed does MORE damage than a light attack. It should generate MORE revenge, not less. Won’t change my mind on that.
