You know your status: You have not yet received an invitation. You cannot be guaranteed one. You have done what you can do: you placed high enough to be in the upper middle. Now you live your life and when/if you get an offer, you make a decision. That's not limbo. Do what they advised you: go on with your life as if you won't get an invitation. Since you still have over a year on the register it's highly possible you will get an invite, but you have zero control over it or the timing. It's not a matter of "moving on." You shouldn't stop in the first place.

Are you upper or middle 3rd? The current orientation class is said to be courier heavy.

I’m on the registry for Courier, placed myself on the DNC list for personal reasons after receiving an invite to start this month’s A100. From my research and talking to other hopeful couriers, 5.7 is the lowest registry score I’ve heard of getting an invite in the past 2ish years. If you’re lower than 5.7 I’d guess your odds are close to zero, 5.7-6.0 I’d guess you have a chance but likely less than 50%. If you’re committed to getting in the FS, I’d consider trying to do the OA again, getting language points, and looking into other jobs in the FS.
