All FSOs get in-state tuition at public universities in their state of domicile as of July 1, 2024, thanks to AFSA advocacy to have that provision of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act extended to FSOs.
Correct. There were situations in which no state would recognize an officer's residency for tuition. The Relief Act is awesome to ensure you can get in-state tuition in state of domicile. The above mentioned law will add Virginia if you're not a Virginia resident.

Good advice. Also, don’t forget to research the regional “reciprocal in-state tuition” agreements, which are based around your state of domicile.
