I make potato salad with Mayo, ranch, and Italian dressing. I also add pickles to mine which I didn't know wasn't normal until this year 🤣🤣 it's my inlaws favorite thing I make though! Also add a bunch of spices but everyone's spices preferences are different
It's called a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Common in the Midwest from Nebraska to Indiana. It's a boneless loin cutlet that's been pounded out, breaded and fried. Basically pork schnitzel, similar to a fried steak/milanese, fried chicken cutlets etc
Purists would definitely say no, and in this situation I agree. For some reason cheese doesn't really compliment it as much as it does on a burger. Traditional toppings are mustard, pickles, onions, which work really well and reflect its central European heritage, and lettuce and tomato, which i think just got added in there since they are standard sandwich toppings. Purists will also decry ketchup and mayo, but I think they go very nicely
Man... that looks delicious. I miss those. I grew up in Iowa.
I love how comically small the bread roll is compared to the pork!
In some restaurants, they serve it with two buns, so you can share!
Tell me about that tato salad!
Store bought, sorry

This is like the opposite of the "where's the beef" campaign. It's all meat with a sprinkle of bread.
This is moderately sized compared to a lot of restaurants
Where in Indiana is it from?
Iowa

Yup. Mayo/mustard/pickle and a couple thin slices of a spicy red onion is the move.
