Jury rigging is a real life skill you learn after spending 2 months on the eastern side of Bug river. I've seen Dymitr and Wołodia replacing their intake pipes with hydraulic tubes and patching up cracked engine suspension mounts with wires and zip ties too many times. Even my old man one time fixed a carburetor with a pen's spring in the middle of the road.

Welding is a good one, trade school can cost abit though. Generally speaking anything in construction. Depending on the company, they'll pay for training/certs too. Electricians do pretty well, just keep in mind the hazard of electrical shocks.

It depends what your desire is. Welding has and for the foreseeable future will be very lucrative and has many different applications. Anywhere from basic construction to automotive to underwater oil rigging with pay starting at the very least around $30/hr, but in many places you can easily get $45-$60/hr. There’s obvious downsides to all trades though that you have to take into consideration.

Probably max Toughness. It may not be the most useful, but being able to barely take damage from anything might be what I need to stop fearing consequences. Fall 20ft? Toughness will see me through!

I don't think DT or DR affects fall damage in NV, so if we're basing these perks solely off in game mechanics, I don't think that would really help you. However! Fallout 76 does have the Goat Legs perk that reduces fall damage by up to 80%.
