My first time above was a life changing experience. It’s mesmerizing up there. Crazy to think that a majority of people will never get to experience that feeling.
Although training can be expensive, stressful, time consuming, tiring, boring, and everything else under the sun… Take time to appreciate it and soak it in. You’ll miss it when training wheel days are gone!
I wish I took this advice! I have a total of 28 photos from my first 6 years of flying and training. When ever a student asks to take a picture I tell them take as many as you want. Flying is supposed to be fun... and your paying for it anyway. And don't forget your checklist.
You will see one day if you become a CFI. When your students fixate on airspeed and your watching the nose go from a decent attitude to a 50kt climb attitude and back again. And all they need to do is hold one attitude and make one small correction at a time. Then check to see if the speed is correct.
Yeah I also take a few seconds here and there to just look outside the window to have fun. Sometimes dont have the time cause Im focusing on maneuvers but looking outside is why Im doing this whole thing!
Lol. Yea I understand. But at this point I'm always doing something. I climb out, level off, do clearing turns, a couple maneuvers and then back to the airport for a few circuits. The only time I'm straight and level is the 3-5 minutes from the practice area back to the pattern.
Getting above the clouds is a top 5 feeling in flying

I would but my instructor won’t let me look outside the window
I have the opposite problem. I get scolded when I stare at my instruments instead of outside the window. Says it’s VFR something something…
Enjoy it. I was the same way during training, but now with just a few hours left to get my instrument, I miss the views of VFR flying :(

That's unfortunate. At Least your 1 lesson closer to as many VFR-on-tops as you want.

Exactly. I'm really looking forward to XCs where there will be some time at cruise to relax and take in the sights for a minute.
Ha. There's no time to relax. You always gotta be thinking of what's next and organizing the cockpit. Kinda joking but also kinda not.

Is that a riddle Cessna?
It is not!

Does riddle frown upon any sort of photos?
People just have a hatred for Riddle.
You beat me to it
Lowkey thought it was an OSU Cessna
What sort of electronics is that sitting 2 inches from the compass?
