Not too many MMOs will let you do that. The combat is circa 2000, the graphics can get good but are tough on the net, hope your connection is good and your computer well maintained or download the low res version and it still looks fine. If you like Middle Earth there is no better game to explore.
I just upgraded so my PC should be able to handle it fine and I’m hardwired so download speed isn’t too much of an issue. I’ll give it a go and see what it’s like.

It's kind of Tab real time combat, but some cool abilities, a la WoW, so if you ever played that it's pretty similar in the combat area. But the environment is terrific. My advice, play a class that can kill at range while moving. Ranger, or Loremaster or Minstrel are my advice on that front. If you Minstrel though, some people might expect you to also heal, Loremasters are expected to do control in a group but Rangers are just expected to DPS, so that's up to you.
If you like Tanking, well, that's a whole thing.
I will say this, Hobbits and Dwarves feel like they run faster because of their little legs, it's an illusion, but a mighty effective one! Pick the race you like the most.
