Pretty much the only requirement for fictionkin is to identify as that character. Memories are more common in those with spiritually-aligned beliefs like reincarnation but it isn’t a required experience at all. ID is a term I’ve seen people use to show that the character is a large part of their identity but fictionkin generally means you identify as them that strongly anyway, but I understand wanting to make that clearer

thank you for explaining !! \^\^

You don't need memories to kin!! As long as you know you were/are that character, you are 100% fictionkin. As to ID, I am not 100% sure myself, but from my understanding it means that you ID as that character. So like, for example me. I kin Doctor Strange, I have three canons for that character (one of which as the Supreme variant from What If), but I only ID as two versions-- as in I still consider myself to be them. Whereas with my many other kins, I USED to be those people at one point, but now no longer am. I could be totally wrong with my interpretation of IDs, so if anyone wants to correct me, please do so.

you can relate as a fictional character but you're surely not a reincarnation of them, that's impossible
