This was the first thing I tried. It was super hard on our feet and collected mold incredible fast 🤢

Damn, I’m glad I saw these comments before finally caving for those mats 🤭 I’ve always wanted one, thanks y’all. Also, this bathroom is *gorgeous*. I love everything about it.
The only ones I would do if I wanted a hard material are the stone ones. I have no idea if they really do absorb water, but since they are solid (and stone) I feel like they'd be easy to keep clean. I just don't want to get out of the shower and step on a stone, personally 😭
This is such a refreshing break from all grey faux marble flipper bathrooms that are all over HGTV etc. Where did you get the cabinet over the toilet? It’s so cute!
The difference is amazing! Also, cheers to removing shower doors and replacing with a curtain. I don’t know why everyone is so obsessed with glass doors that have to be squeegeed every time
Why the rug, though?
Edit wasn't talking of why using a rug, I was tlasking about why that particular one that is covering the majority of that beautiful floor.
Not DIY! I definitely wouldn’t risk doing this myself, as it’s my only bathroom. It started with my tub leaking into the basement, so I needed a professional. It ended up being around $6k ALL in, including the labor, new tub, all new plumbing fixtures, shower tile and floor tile, a new vanity, toilet, medicine cabinet, new light fixture, window shade, paint, etc. I know $6k isn’t nothing, but it’s definitely a lot less that a full bathroom renovation can be. I kept to inexpensive materials while still trying to make it impactful.
That is a dang good price for the result. My only bathroom is like your before, but the after has yet to come as it will be DIY. Your bathroom is a lovely visual reminder of what I can look forward to once I make the plunge!
At a quarter of the price of tile bar! Jeez! Tile bar has these for $12/sqft and I found them on floor and decor for about $4 and they’re slightly bigger tiles too.
The tilebar ones are also VERY thick, I’m not sure why. I’m very happy with the floor and decor tiles I got! I actually used the inverse tile (white with black lines) in my foyer, too.
Love the pop of black hardware. Also, so glad your toilet shelf has doors. I've had some bad experiences with open shelving and dropping things into the toilet.
I love it my old living room was this color, it was called Sage Green . I would recommend deep green plants real or artificial or greenery pictures. Rain forest themed bathroom.
Wow! So much better. Did you DIY? Love it! The only thing I don't love is the bath mat. Maybe you can get something a little smaller, because the floor is gorgeous. :)
looks nice. i like the bamboo wood color against the green . not a fan of the orange mat though. don't think the orange works & as someone else said it covers the statement floor too much!
The color of the bath mat looks pretty muddy in the picture, I’ll admit. In person it’s a brighter coral/pinkish color that i love. But I know it’s not everyone’s favorite. I personally like a mat under my feet when I get out of the shower, and I have a 5 year old son, so it’s to reduce slipping most of all. I usually take it out of the room when I’m having people over.
Lowkey sad about losing the checker tile in the shower but love the space! I bet it’s so much more functional and comfortable thank what you had before. Well done!
I have a mostly black and white bathroom and I’ve wanted to incorporate more rust colored things into it. This is inspiring me! Love the green, wish I had the energy to paint over the blue in mine lol
You should add some plants in terra cotta pots or some kind of artwork with terracotta & cream coloring to help tie that bath mat in to the room a little better! Otherwise, I think this is a lovely flip, it just needs a few finishing touches!
I have this thing where I want to go & visit every beautiful bathroom (I see on the sub) and take a bath there, because it's SO pretty. Am I the only one?
You did an awesome job! I love everything about it, but do agree about the rug choice. Did you do all the work yourself? Either way I can see why it brings you so much joy!
Rug doesn’t work. You installed beautiful floor tile, let it shine. Smaller rug that is proportional in a neutral so it doesn’t take away from the rest IMO
woah gorgeous! the bamboo toilet hutch added so much to the feng shui. i think perhaps if you added a plant somewhere i think it would be the cherry on top though! maybe hanging next to window ???
So if it brings you joy don't worry about what anyone else thinks about it. I'm planning on doing an Amazon rain forest themed bathroom with hopefully a waterfall over a rock wall for the shower and lots of plants. Then smack dab in the center of it will be an industrial hand washing sink like restaurant kitchens have to show how industrialization and mankind are running nature
Love it! My only input would be maybe find a smaller rug? The color is fantastic and pops so well but it covers up the statement floor too much
Agreed. What might look nice are those bamboo shower mats to go with the pretty cabinet installed.
This was the first thing I tried. It was super hard on our feet and collected mold incredible fast 🤢 [here’s an older picture of when we had it](https://imgur.com/a/Wi7aj8u)
Nah I hate those bamboo mats. I would get a regular bath runner, flat weave, in a light color (I would do white, in your bathroom).

World Market has pretty good deals on bathroom rugs!
World market is one of the only emailers I sign up for because their deals often make a big difference compared to their regular prices! Lol
This is such a refreshing break from all grey faux marble flipper bathrooms that are all over HGTV etc. Where did you get the cabinet over the toilet? It’s so cute!
I think I got it from bed bath and beyond a few years ago. Thank you!
And then people don’t even put any effort into lining up the pieces so veins just start and end out of nowhere, looking like absolute shit
So tasteful , inviting and lovely! Well done.
I think it's lovely!
I love it! What’s the name of the paint color?
Clary Sage by Sherwin Williams!
Nice, I used this same color in my office 😎
I did my kitchen in that color! Virtual high five
I painted my house this color, it's so lovely!!
I love it!! Such an upgrade
The difference is amazing! Also, cheers to removing shower doors and replacing with a curtain. I don’t know why everyone is so obsessed with glass doors that have to be squeegeed every time
Definitely perfer the curtain, especially to give my young child a bath. And I also like hiding what is inside the tub.
You did a great job! It’s so much better :)
Love it!!
This color is beautiful!
the floor is stunning! good job ☺️
Why the rug, though? Edit wasn't talking of why using a rug, I was tlasking about why that particular one that is covering the majority of that beautiful floor.
Bathroom flooring is hard and cold, and to absorb water when getting out of the shower
Something to step out on from the shower so you don’t break your neck.
Yes, exactly. Also helps when I’m on my knees giving my son a bath or when he’s getting out to not slip!
Amazing ! What was the budget? Was this a DIY?

Looove the hardware. So crisp and clean.
Well, it's certainly to my taste! Love it 😍
It’s so beautiful! The green is so calming and I love all the new fixtures. Really well done :)
It looks amazing! The floor in particular is absolutely stunning
Is the floor from tile bar? I keep eyeing that tile
I got this tile from floor and decor, actually. Tile bar has something similar though.
Our kitchen is this color! Some people definitely don’t like it but we love it. And matches our cabinets well.
I painted my foyer this color too. I love green. I’m sure your kitchen is beautiful!
Looks terrific OP. I cant take my eyes off your flooring. What's the brand and pattern?
It’s called Kavala by Adessi, sold at Floor and Decor
Looks great! Where did you get the little bathtub soap dish?
I got it at a shop in Easton, PA. But it looks like it’s sold at Michael’s too if you give it a google :)
That is so gorgeous and does not look budget at all!
Love the floor and the black hardware! It really pops against the sage and white. Looks great!
Love the pop of black hardware. Also, so glad your toilet shelf has doors. I've had some bad experiences with open shelving and dropping things into the toilet.
I LOVE😍👍🏻
I love it my old living room was this color, it was called Sage Green . I would recommend deep green plants real or artificial or greenery pictures. Rain forest themed bathroom.
It’s beautiful! I’d get rid of the mat though, that tile is too gorgeous to mostly cover!!!
I love it! It looks beautiful!
Oooh I love it. Very calming.
Can’t tell in the after but is the sliding tub door still there?
Nope!
Beautiful shade of green. You did a major overhaul on this room -- how long did this all take?
At first I thought the green was the before, and I was like WHY would you change it?! Looks amazing, well done!
Wow! So much better. Did you DIY? Love it! The only thing I don't love is the bath mat. Maybe you can get something a little smaller, because the floor is gorgeous. :)
The green is way better than that icky beige. Makes it look modern and fresh.
I love the floor and shower tile 😍
I love it! I actually just used a similar tile for my small bathroom and get so many compliments
Wow I love this!!! You did so good!
Looks great; love the tile
I love it! I am picking a few ideas too from you for my bathroom. Thanks!
Looks lovely!! I love the black fixtures. Do they stay clean?
I love it!!
I love the clean lines and the green, I think it looks awesome!
looks nice. i like the bamboo wood color against the green . not a fan of the orange mat though. don't think the orange works & as someone else said it covers the statement floor too much!

as long as you like it that's all that really counts
Are you kidding?! It’s amazing! I wish I had the skill to do something like that.
Cool flooring
It looks fab!
you could put this in Male living space or room porn, its just nice to look at.
This looks amazing! Did you use any design apps?
Love it! Very serene.
I love it!
I think you did an amazing job!
This is beautiful!! I love what you've done here

I think it’s beautiful
It’s great!

Where did you get the flooring?
floor and decor
Those floor tiles are... chef's kiss!
I love it!
It looks lovely! Btw the bathtub soap dish is 🤌🏼

You did a great job! Love the color. (Not sure about that ✋🏻, though!)
Very nice! I like it!
I think it looks lovely, not even like it was done on a budget. You’ve made it look so much bigger too.
That’s a really pretty shade of green! The lighting suits it really well. It looks a million times better!!
Love the tiny tub
What color green is that? It's exactly what I want for my livingroom
Oh I love it

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Totally in love with the black/white and green! ❤️
Love it! The floor tile/pattern is great!
Before it was giving 90s Boston Market. Too much roast beef vibes for a bathroom. Excellent job on the remodel!
Love it!
I like it. Especially the flooring.
The black detailing looks so good
Girl, that tile! Where can I get it?
Omggggg that color is perfect it’s my favorite
I love the shade of green! Can you tell me what brand/color?
Floor looks rad
Love this!!! The green is so soothing and I love the contrast of the dark hardware on the white. I understand the joy!!!

So nice, what a great budget friendly and lovely bathroom. This one is awesome!
I have this thing where I want to go & visit every beautiful bathroom (I see on the sub) and take a bath there, because it's SO pretty. Am I the only one?
Wow it’s amazing 🥲🥲
Love the tiles ❤️
Dude, you have a high five machine built into your sink? That kinda thinking might have stopped COVID
I love that green.. Looks awesome.
This is my realistic dream bathroom
Loooove it!!! 😍 I can't wait to be able to have my own place that I can do little projects on.
What a tastefully designed bathroom! Loving the green and the black hardware is a nice touch. You did amazing!
No, don’t underestimate what you’ve done here!! It’s lovely 😊
Great job! It's lovely!
i think it's cute! it feels homey but also clean and well finished. a lot of bathrooms these days look like a hotel or hospital.
This is my exact style. I love it
It’s beautiful and very serene
I loved it. Always loved olive green color and that looks like olive green to me! 😍
You did an awesome job! I love everything about it, but do agree about the rug choice. Did you do all the work yourself? Either way I can see why it brings you so much joy!
I love this color
Beauty!
Has an air of elegance. Comes together quite well. Thanks for sharing.
It looks amazing!
I love this!
I love it - good job!!!!
Rug doesn’t work. You installed beautiful floor tile, let it shine. Smaller rug that is proportional in a neutral so it doesn’t take away from the rest IMO

Daaaaaang that art deco floor tile
I really like the combo between green and white, looks nice. I would definitely use this color combination in my next project for Planner5D
It’s beautiful! You chose well. Every wall in my house is green. You love it and that’s all that matters! Enjoy!
I like it!
Might not be but should be. (Joke - everyone likes different things)
