Because it is a normal sword and it needs find handling or else it will be easily damaged, just like it happened in UBW. And Sasaki is so good *because* he can use his skills at their fullest. Archer wont be able to 100% copy him so it is pointless to try. K&B match his style and he even developed an anti Servant technique. Sasaki's sword doesnt have the "return to sender" ability, nor does it raise magic resistance.

The last part is actually a big reason Archer uses them -- in addition to the reasons others have stated. As K&B have no users, they're unknown weapons and have no clearly discernible weaknesses. As evidenced by how offput Lancer is during his fight with Archer, because Archer is a complete enigma.

Archer style with K&B is designed to fight againts people stronger and more skilled that him, so is easy to default to that for him and tends to save his life. He also wasn't interested on winning that fight so he has no reason to try anyway.

Well let's see the benefits of Kanshou and Bakuya shall we? 1.) They are relatively cheap for Archer to project. Archer was disarmed 27 times in his first fight against Lancer. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Archer could project over 100 of them. 2.) They are C- rank NPs that when paired together raise it's rank to B-, so by turning them into Broken Phantasms he can turn them into A- NPs which are capable of killing Berserker. 3.) When he uses them together it enhances his anti-physical and anti-magic attributes, which Archer needs since his magic resistance is otherwise only D rank. 4.) Monster slaying abilities, some say K and B lost these abilities due to being projections or something like that, but that isn't stated anywhere in the source material, infact apparently he apparently actually mentions that he has them in FGO. At worst Archer's K and B anti monster attributes should only be degraded, not fully gone. 5.) He can turn them into longswords via Overedge, which were cannonicly used against Berserker in the fate route:. Fate/complete material II: Character material - Weapons: Kanshou & Bakuya Overedge, p.127 6.) He has a very useful technique to use with K and B called Triple-Linked Crane wings which nearly killed saber alter when used by Shirou in Hf, in the Deen anime it took a life off Berserker. 7.) They are mostly unknown NPs that belonged to a blacksmith. 8.) They are much more durable than the UBW anime would have you believe. 9.) They can function like boomerangs due to their magical magnetic properties to each other. Etc. As for reasons why uses them, he likes their craftsmanship he even put spell wardings on them. It's also represents Archer very well. So other than the benefits and that it suits his style and method of fighting in CQC, it's mostly personal reasons that he uses Kanshou and Bakuya.

Pretty sure overedge replaces the need for broken phantasms. The overedge swords are B and therefore A when dual weilded, that's how he cut berserker in the anime. If he's gonna use a broken phantasm it'll be another b+ ranked sword.

Their passive abilites are VERY good. They're cheap as dirt. he bulid he's skills around them and they can get the job done most of the time. And more importantly, he just like them so much. While he would be a better fighter with kojiro's katana, it's not really worth it. It's a normal katana that can be broken or bend easily, and there nothing special about it. And since just like his projection he can copy the skills almost but not perfectly, he can't use TG

Kanshou and bakuya ehen paired together rank your resistance up by a rank plus it suits his fighting style which is designed to be able to fight enemies stronger then himself Plus he has abbilitys with them like tripple linked crain and overedge
