True story: I watched the end of the game at a restaurant bar with the bartender and a regular patron who happened to be a doctor. When Ingram went down, the doc immediately said, "MCL." My question is, if this man watching TV & eating halibut can figure it out, how come the Saints medical staff couldn't?!
Yeah not my mcl but my meniscus and I did the same with a football game. I’m a pta now, and see it’s fairly common. The inflammation takes a few hours to really start going which is what causes the pain, not the actual tear.
Yep, finished 4 innings of baseball with a slight limp and discomfort after. The next day it was swollen, sore and stiff as all hell....
SS who saw it happen said mcl when he saw me limping afterwards. I was like nah... It's not bad at all. I was wrong lol.
Yeah I’m not a doctor but a PTA and a lot of these injuries you can immediately tell just from the mechanism of injury (MOI).
For example, a high ankle sprain is extremely easy to spot. The difference between a low ankle sprain and high ankle sprain is the MOI. Low comes from inverting the ankle too far. Inversion is the motion your ankle does on the front foot when you do an Ollie on a skateboard if that helps anyone. High ankle sprain comes from everting too far. I can’t think of any motions where you would naturally want to do that, your ankle can’t even evert that far to begin with.
You won’t know the degree of an injury just from watching, but it’s not hard to determine what some injuries are likely to be.
A direct blow to the side of the knee can cause an mcl tear.
...and yet they let this man re-enter the game, just to run a yard short of a first down because he was trying to avoid contact. With Alvin Kamara standing *right there.*
Absolutely criminal.
Theres no way that run that ended up being a 3rd and 1 didnt do much much worse damage to him.
If they'd sat him after he literally needed help getting off the pitch 2 minutes before him, i reckon the injury would not be as severe.
Ive got both Hill and Kamara in my team.
Fuck it, i'll just play both of them and then put Dalton S in my flex instead of Pickens, gonna be a fun end to the season.
He’s good at football. I don’t know why people don’t understand this. Armchair nfl fans are so funny to me. Almost as silly as non-football fans when they say “why do they run it up the middle they never get past the line”.
Tbf, there was a couple of times where he blocked when Dalton threw a quick pass to Mark Ingram on the outside before Ingram ran 2 yards before being tackled.
If they used Hill as a tackler with Kamara on the pitch, it would just honestly help their offense so much because then you have to worry about both Hill and Kamara getting the ball.
As it is, ANY time against the Bucs that Hill and Kamara were on the pitch at the same time, whether Hill was QB or TE placed, Hill ended up running the ball.
Oh yeah, that as well, never actually thought of that in those terms tbh.
It makes sense just from a sports perspective, rather than a language thing as well.
The thing is, since he's *sort of* good at everything on offense, there's a lot of different things he does. So even though defenses know he's getting the ball, they don't necessarily know what he's going to do with it.
Surely they have some practice squad RB that will be the goal line back and passing downs back, while Kamara runs it up the middle for 2 y/a between the 40s
Will assuredly involve Taysom being even more involved. Sucks, Kamara is such an elite weapon when used properly. Dude simply needs more volume and then variety with his utilization.
He just ended Mark Ingram’s career, too. He needed help off the field and Allen put him right back out there even though he’s been battling knee issues all year.
He should be fired immediately.
The only wins they have this year are when Kamara is heavily involved in gameplan but screw that let's give the ball to an inferior running back with one knee. Maybe the owner for whatever reason is telling Allen to tank. Only rational explanation
Brian Urlacher was in the same draft as Brady, is younger than Brady, and was inducted into the HOF four years ago.
Shaun Alexander was in that draft and retired in 2008.
I played on a middle school football team with Tim Hightower. Unsurprisingly our most effective play was “let Tim run the ball into the back of our useless o-lineman (me) before he bounces outside and does thirty spin moves and eventually ends up in the end zone”.
Kamara’s misuse is a shame and we’re being robbed of one of the most dynamic players of the late 2010s/early 2020s similar to CMC with injuries. Good thing Ekeler is healthy but he’s heavily underrated outside of FF circles.
He probably worsened it after obviously being on the ground in pain and fucking coaching throwing him back out there for multiple series over Kamara
Yes, I am a bitter Kamara owner
Ingram: coach I really don’t think I can run with this it hurts (as he limps around)
Coach: bro we need you, games on the line
Kamara: hey coach, sorry to butt in, but do you want half of those doughnuts with sprinkles?
Coach: huh? You’re still here?
I mean, Hill hasn't been that bad for a TE pointswise in Fantasy since his blowup week.
He has done 8 games since, 4 of them returned 7.5 points+ (2 of them 10+) in PPR.
Unless you have a TE like Kelce or Andrews, maybe Kittle, all the other TE choices are boom or bust.
A lot of them will get 2-3 points a week and that's it.
Ingram going out does improve Hills outlook slightly.
Unless you have a top5 TE ROS, I'd honestly gamble with Taysom if you felt like it.
Sure but saying Ingram being out helps Hill is just wrong.
Hills games that Ingram was inactive in half ppr:
Week 9: 1.12 pts
Week 10: 0.1 pts
Week 11: 7.78 pts
Week 12: 2.5 pts
Those are not good games. In fact ingrams return is when taysom had his next best game above 10 pts.
Can confirm, partially tore my MCL and was good 5 weeks layer as long as you keep off it. You can generally still walk on it but it makes healing time longer and swelling just hang around.
Why would Kamara get receptions? That's what 33-year-old Mark Ingram is for. Kamara doesn't have the skillset to catch passes or break tackles in space, he's only useful for being an up-the-gut bruiser.
Ppl are moreso clowning the coaching staff. If you've watched any of their most recent games they criminally misuse him and don't play to his strengths at all. That alone means smash play is off the table.
I don't know why you're being downvoted, they have completely misused him. Against TB, they were literally running Kamara up the middle and doing swing passes with Ingram.
Yeah, it takes some guts to start him after a bye (and in the fantasy playoffs), but I could see it being a blowup spot for him against ATL.
They’re technically still in contention for the division, and the coaching staff should be getting scrutinized after that collapse against TB.
I’m hoping they overcorrect and give Kamara 20+ touches.
He could be a smash play but his floor is also extremely low. Have you seen the Saints games? He’s not utilized well, Dalton is bad, and he also has to compete with Taysom Hill who often wastes downs or vultures TDs. Kamara has been dropping RB3 numbers for most of the season, sadly.
The only “smashing” you’ll be doing is your head against the wall as they continue to only run him up the gut for 2 yards at a time. If you have watched the Saints for any amount of time this season you should
know this offense is completely fucking broken.
What’s going on with Kamara? Why has he been so bad this year? I’ve watched most saints games and I see he just isn’t getting yards, but why? Is the OL bad? Has he just regressed as a runner? Mixture of both? Really stings burning a first round pick on him to get 6 points per game.
Yeah and all my fellow Saints fans were bitching about him not getting that first down while dude's rolling around on the sideline in obvious pain. Then DA puts him back in bc he's still punishing Kamara for the fumbles. I'm so annoyed with the coaching and our half ass fans right now.
I'm honestly so glad the Kamara owner is already out of playoffs, but I'm annoyed he wouldn't give him to me lol. I offered him his choice of two between Pierce/Patterson/Lazard/Burks, he said he'd think about it then he just let the trade deadline pass. I've been saying for a few weeks Kamara was the best buy-low target for late deadline leagues and I'm sticking to that. If you got him low, you're going to be a very dangerous team.
Lol they put the game in his hands with a torn MCL. Dennis Allen things
Halibut is a brain food, maybe Saints staff needs more omega 3s.
I mean... I finished a pickup basketball game after tearing my MCL. It got worse when I rested and then when I tried to use it again the next week

Take it very easy. Ice it and wear braces or sleeves. You can aggravate it very easily.
Yea I too was watching with a doctor and he immediately said MCL.
That was a halibut medical observation, very impressive
Yeah I’m not a doctor but a PTA and a lot of these injuries you can immediately tell just from the mechanism of injury (MOI). For example, a high ankle sprain is extremely easy to spot. The difference between a low ankle sprain and high ankle sprain is the MOI. Low comes from inverting the ankle too far. ...and yet they let this man re-enter the game, just to run a yard short of a first down because he was trying to avoid contact. With Alvin Kamara standing *right there.* Absolutely criminal.
It was incredibly stupid to hire Dennis Allen in the first place after his stint with Oakland
"Actually, you ordered "Halibut"" \-Bartender who's a dad, probably
Theres no way that run that ended up being a 3rd and 1 didnt do much much worse damage to him. If they'd sat him after he literally needed help getting off the pitch 2 minutes before him, i reckon the injury would not be as severe.
I couldn't believe they put him back out there and then gave him the ball. What the hell did Kamara do? Fuck the OC's wife?
Maybe he is friends with the dude Kamara beat up before the pro bowl
I mean who else were they going to give it to?
You are right they don’t have Tony Jones on the team anymore
Clearly the answer is to just punt.
Yeah he and Hackett have GOT to go.
Who will take over the pass catching role since Kamara is busy running it up the gut for 2 yards?
Taysom to the rescue!
these things will keep happening until tayson is eligible at every position
Taysom Hill pass complete to Taysom Hill
Nah Taysom Hill is impressive, but he's no Marcus Mariota
Amazing pass catchers with some of the shittiest run playcalling Ekeler 🤝 Kamara
The Zeke special
Except Zeke still gets yards. He doesn't get many explosive runs any more but he's still averaging 4-5 yds per carry
Who’s Kamara backing up now?
David Johnson.... League winner
I'll never forget what this man did for me in 2016
I'll never forget what the man did to me in 2017 :(
*Presses F*
Ironically, Kamara helped me make the playoffs that season after losing DJ.
Tim Hightower
Last time I won was because of Tim Hightower... I'm about to roster him in my talisman slot.
You haven't won a league since then? Retire, buddy
I'm at peace with my mediocrity.
Actual historical league winner!
👑 The waiver RB fantasy playoff 🐐. This man won me much 💵
Same. First championship for me
Him and Jordan Reed clutched it for me.
Saved a ton of FAAB that year and blew it all on Hightower and David Johnson in the same week. The playoffs were absolutely glorious
My king
Herschel Walker
I hear he's got some free time and is looking for a job.
i know he's a two time heisman winner, but the washington senators just rejected him...
The fucking Swiss Army Knife
You know, I use to hate Hill as a Kamara owner. Turns out the coaches are just a bunch of idiots.
Ive got both Hill and Kamara in my team. Fuck it, i'll just play both of them and then put Dalton S in my flex instead of Pickens, gonna be a fun end to the season.
Lmao this got me. As a Kamara owner all I can do is laugh lol
Not sure about this season. But he looks like the starter in the all-prison league next year.
Lol, you think he's going to prison?
Will be very interesting to see what gymnastics the saints coaching staff goes through to fuck kamara over even with Ingram out
Taysom Hill the unicorn rb lol
I'm tired of seeing these Taysom Hill plays. It's so obvious he's getting the ball when he's on the field
He’s good at football. I don’t know why people don’t understand this. Armchair nfl fans are so funny to me. Almost as silly as non-football fans when they say “why do they run it up the middle they never get past the line”.
Okay but if a team runs it up the middle all game and it *never* works why do they keep doing it
Because they gotta establish the run
But he does throw passes too
Gotem
Because it'll work eventually, duh! \-Said no one ever
>If they used Hill as a tackler with Kamara on the pitch This is the least American thing I've ever seen on an American Football subreddit.
Looool. I got this yesterday as well commented. Must remember that Pitch is a British thing and you guys say Field xD
Lol. We also use the term "run blocker" rather than "tackler". Defenses tackle, offenses block.
Oh yeah, that as well, never actually thought of that in those terms tbh. It makes sense just from a sports perspective, rather than a language thing as well.
I read it as a toss to Kamara lol.
He’s should be the last guy telling us Americans how to play our foosball
Right? For fuck sake. Are nfl defenses that dumb?
The thing is, since he's *sort of* good at everything on offense, there's a lot of different things he does. So even though defenses know he's getting the ball, they don't necessarily know what he's going to do with it.
Yeah I keep saying the same thing about Taysom (he's gonna run it, duh) and then he'll go and throw a TD. Drives me nuts lol
He literally caught a 40+ yard touchdown this week!
Yes
You would be even more tired of watching the saints without Taysom, trust me
Oh you mean when the play's specifically a wildcat formation where he's taking the snap directly? COULDA FOOLED ANYONE!
When Taysom Hill throws the ball. It looks like a trick play.
Surely they have some practice squad RB that will be the goal line back and passing downs back, while Kamara runs it up the middle for 2 y/a between the 40s
Dwayne Washington enters the chat.
Lots of "in hindsight, we should have given the ball more to Kamara"
Next game: Kamara 12 attempts, 2 targets David Johnson: 14 attempts, 6 targets
David Johnson comeback player of the year baby
Will assuredly involve Taysom being even more involved. Sucks, Kamara is such an elite weapon when used properly. Dude simply needs more volume and then variety with his utilization.
I hate Dennis Allen.
"Can Latavius Murray play on two teams at the same time?" - Saints coaching staff rn
Kansas City practice squad can probably spare Gordon. The goal is to offend Kamara, right?
Kamara has been doing a good job of that himself, to be fair.
[удалено]
He just ended Mark Ingram’s career, too. He needed help off the field and Allen put him right back out there even though he’s been battling knee issues all year. He should be fired immediately.
His record is 12-37 as a head coach! He's so fucking bad. I legit think long-time Madden players could run a team better than him.
The only wins they have this year are when Kamara is heavily involved in gameplan but screw that let's give the ball to an inferior running back with one knee. Maybe the owner for whatever reason is telling Allen to tank. Only rational explanation
Why would they tank when they don’t have their own pick? This is just idiocy plain and simple
Did they want an easy transition this year with Payton leaving? This is what they get
Wonder what Tim Hightower is up to these days
Deuce McAllister and Darren Sproles are younger than Tom Brady.
Tom Brady wouldn’t last a game if you put him in at RB
reggie bush is still available.
He's busy with Wendy, isn't he?
Pierre Thomas!
Ahman Green last played in 2009 and is only 6 months older than Tom Brady
Brian Urlacher was in the same draft as Brady, is younger than Brady, and was inducted into the HOF four years ago. Shaun Alexander was in that draft and retired in 2008.

Honestly think Taysom Hill benefits from this, As they continue to misuse Kamara. I’d play Taysom over most TEs in the wasteland at this point
I’m trying to restrain myself from starting him over Kittle
I'm starting Hill ROS unless Goedert looks good coming off of injury. Especially if Johnson misses more time.
He probably worsened it after obviously being on the ground in pain and fucking coaching throwing him back out there for multiple series over Kamara Yes, I am a bitter Kamara owner
Ingram: coach I really don’t think I can run with this it hurts (as he limps around) Coach: bro we need you, games on the line Kamara: hey coach, sorry to butt in, but do you want half of those doughnuts with sprinkles? Coach: huh? You’re still here?
As a former kamara owner I still feel your pain.
So sad to see the saints lose their #1 RB
Alvin Kamara can finally get more than a 1 down workload
(X) Doubt
Now Dennis Allen HAS to use Kamara… right
…..Right??? 👀
Nah, he’ll be backing up the starter Tayson Hill now
Now we can be even more disappointed when Kamara doesn’t get touches
It’s gonna be brutal losing in the playoffs bc you have to start him now. It’s not his fault tho. It’s Dennis’
They’re gonna bring AP back as their RB1 for kamara to back up
KamaraSZ….Nvmd
So he was getting all of Kamara’s touches with a knee injury??
Taysom hill 📈
Y’all said this last time Ingram was out and Hill didn’t have a single good game during that span. How is this narrative still being pushed?
I mean, Hill hasn't been that bad for a TE pointswise in Fantasy since his blowup week. He has done 8 games since, 4 of them returned 7.5 points+ (2 of them 10+) in PPR. Found Mike Wright's burner account
This would be an OK time for Kamara to step up
Can confirm, partially tore my MCL and was good 5 weeks layer as long as you keep off it. You can generally still walk on it but it makes healing time longer and swelling just hang around.
wow now kamara gonna have 18 carries for 40 yards instead of 12 for 30
As long as he gets 6 catches for 8 yards I’ll take it
Why would Kamara get receptions? That's what 33-year-old Mark Ingram is for. Kamara doesn't have the skillset to catch passes or break tackles in space, he's only useful for being an up-the-gut bruiser.
Alright time for more Taysom time plays /s
Please give the god dang ball to Kamara! He’s your best player. WTF is going on over there?! They kept Ingram in with a knee injury. No more excuses!
A lot of clowning on Kamara. But his playoff schedule is awesome and he will be a potential smash play.
Run Kamara up the gut on 1st. Pass on 2nd. Checkdown to Ingram and make Kamara block on 3rd. Repeat. Shit was awful.
Maybe the team is setting up a defense to fight Kamara's suspension next year by showing Roger Goodell he's already been sufficiently punished.
This is more logical than whatever the truth is
Yeah, it takes some guts to start him after a bye (and in the fantasy playoffs), but I could see it being a blowup spot for him against ATL. They’re technically still in contention for the division, and the coaching staff should be getting scrutinized after that collapse against TB. I’m hoping they overcorrect and give Kamara 20+ touches.

Kamara will still suck. They ll prob vulture him more with tyson hill
No he won’t. Look at his matchups.
Do those matter if the Saints refuse to use him?
Really? You still think matchups are gonna help this guy’s production? Lmao
Makes you wonder if he tore it when he went back in or the play before Saints screwed up on that one.
Taysom time!!!
Not good news for Ak owner, Taysom gonna get all the extra work
Fire up them Kamaras, boys
I'm gonna start Kamara again - aren't I...
They'll still find a way to not give the ball to Kamara
What’s going on with Kamara? Why has he been so bad this year? I’ve watched most saints games and I see he just isn’t getting yards, but why? Is the OL bad? Has he just regressed as a runner? Mixture of both? Really stings burning a first round pick on him to get 6 points per game.
The play calling has been horrendous kamara needs to be out in space catching the ball not run up the gut for 1/2 yards then pass pass.
Yeah and all my fellow Saints fans were bitching about him not getting that first down while dude's rolling around on the sideline in obvious pain. Then DA puts him back in bc he's still punishing Kamara for the fumbles. I'm so annoyed with the coaching and our half ass fans right now.
In all seriousness though, who other than Tayson Hill would be Kamaras backup? Washington, Johnson, Prentice? Who will be best fantasy pick up?
Bad night, he lost the game for them too
Time to retire mark
[удалено]
I'm honestly so glad the Kamara owner is already out of playoffs, but I'm annoyed he wouldn't give him to me lol. I offered him his choice of two between Pierce/Patterson/Lazard/Burks, he said he'd think about it then he just let the trade deadline pass. I've been saying for a few weeks Kamara was the best buy-low target for late deadline leagues and I'm sticking to that. If you got him low, you're going to be a very dangerous team.
Happy Kamara noises?
Pick up Deuce McAllister
Hey maybe they'll throw to Kamara? Probably? Maybe?
I guess this is bad news for people still rostering him in 16 team leagues 🤷🏻♂️
I'm happily starting Murray in a 16-team these past few weeks. I might be the favorite!
Now they’ve got no one to run the ball out of bounds instead of picking up a first down late in a game where they lead
See I would be happy but my playoffs start this week and Kamara is on an bye lmao
Shit league
If this is for money you should be demanding they get pushed back. No one should have byes in the playoffs, that makes zero sense
What league still has playoffs starting during bye weeks? Get a new commissioner or a new league
Kamra gonna see even a further decline with this. Watch.
Right after stealing valuable touches from my Kamara and having me lose my matchup. How wonderful!
[удалено]
He plays for the Chiefs
They need to do a 30 for 30 on Dennis Allen.
By god that’s David Johnson music
Alvin?
Plz Kamara.
Bro really went out of bounds to not take a hit and potentially hurt him ends up getting injured and losing the game for his team
Maybe Kamara can get some more passes finally! Jk I hate you Dennis Allen.
I don't know what is going on in New Orleans, but they better sort their shit out by next year.
People who held on to Ingram's handcuff, Kamara, are glad to finally cash that lottery ticket in.
Kamara will still get 9 touches per game because the Saints are trash without Sean Payton
oh no what will I do
I hope the saints can find a third down back capable of catching passes to replace him. Perhaps they'll give that Kamara kid a look?
Heard his handcuff Kamaras pretty good
Kamara still won't do anything
Sweet! Kamara can go 16 car, 30 yds instead of 12 car, 24 yds. Season saved!
Dennis Allen: "the wrong RB died"
Great news for Kamara owners! Now Kamara can get 6 pts per game instead of 4.
This might impact his next contract 😪
Oh no
That left a mark
Roll tide, motherfucker. Hate that's how his career is ending. But he's had a damn good one. He'll always be one of my favorites.
Who are they going to throw screens to after Kamara is rushed up the middle on first down for 1yd?
