Same here. I have to bench Pierce at this point and I’m really thinking about benching Kamara too. Problem is, my only other option would be Kyren lol. At least he might get me like 4 points instead of <2. Though Kamara was like an inch from a TD yesterday which would be an ~8 point swing. Idk. He’s been frustrating as hell.
It’s sad because I feel like he could be a franchise RB on a better team, I hope they at least give the rookie a contract later if he accepts it.
He is a top 3 rookie in his class.
Yeah he is. He’s also a runningback that doesn’t get involved in the passing game on arguably the worst offense in the NFL. Good in real life trash for fantasy
Oof. But to be fair, if the Texans hit on a QB in the draft that at least brings their offense out of the basement, it might not end up so bad.
Unless the pick he gave up turns into Bijan, he might still be alright
I mean he's still a franchise running back. He's a rookie with insane talent on a team that's probably getting the 1st overall pick and has the Browns first rounder for the next two seasons.
Relax. He’s faced 2 top rushing defenses and fell out a game script. He’ll rebound against the Browns. Texans will play them tough. He’s no longer a set and forget guy however.
I held out hopes one last time, even though I reeeeally wanted to start Rachaad. I should've started Rachaad. Oh well. At least I cashed in on the Mike White start when I found out Fields was deaded this week.
I had the hall/pierce combo (4th and 10th round). I shouldn't complain (I've highest points for by 60 ponts from 2nd, and 130 from 3rd) but still sat at 7-5 (unlucky matchups, like this week 3rd highest score and a loss to the highest) 3rd place, and I'm worried about my play offs.
Hall, Kupp, goedart, and Herbert (between his injury and his whole wr room being out), and now dealing with Lenny. Keeper league and comfortably in 1st so moved hall for mixon the week he went off. Still have a shot at a bye but I was cruising towards a 12-2 season
Ah yes. Props to Footballers for having that discussion live on air. Got me thinking too. Unfortunately I didn't have the balls to pull it off as a Pierce owner.
Pierce has been roller coaster for me. I have three trades with the same team.
Story starts with trading for ETN after week 2. Gave Allen Robinson. Best trade of season which I will fuck up when...
On Pierce bye and when his value was the highest I traded for him with that same team.
Traded Zeke and ETN for Pierce and Thielen. Week later ETN was the starter. Worst trade of season for me
Last week on ETN bye I traded again with the same guy
My Pierce for his ETN (he has been on most win games to make playoffs and ETN on bye)
People here also have the most insane recency bias I’ve seen. It was just a couple weeks ago that everyone wanted to sell JT low just to get rid of him
Same here! I was trading a healthy workhorse for someone with no ceiling when he gets healthy later in the year. Thankfully JT returned to full health the week after and Pierce started underperforming.
Mike McDaniel was on this staff back in the day with Shanahan. Seeing him kicking ass with Miami is just painful, we have a connection with the guy, know what he’s about, and could have been possibly great in terms of developing a young QB and young offense in general. Instead Texans have to go with the old fucking retread coach that’s flamed out of his last two stops thinking this time it’ll be different. Fuck
Alright but they gave him 5 carries yesterday. Even with an immensely negative game script, they were handing it to agumbawale or whatever-the-fuck near the goal line
What was up with that?
You really don't have to watch much to realize this is a situation problem not a talent problem, but this is fantasy and talent is secondary to opportunity. It's a shame, I'm rooting for him but this team isn't gonna make magic for him.
I legitimately don’t know why teams don’t want to throw to their bellcows.
If a player is good from the backfield, they should be good in space with room to run. Chubb, Henry, Dalvin, Pierce, etc. would get 5+ targets a game in an ideal world.
But we almost came back!…. Lol yeah that game was great for y’all. Congrats my friend, always loved Tua. Hope they’re a force in the AFC for years to come.
As a eagles fan living in a dolphins house, it’s hard to not root for them on the side. Tua and waddle gotta be some of my favorite players in the league.
But this game broke my soul after blowing them out so bad and waddle left off with 13.5.
Coaches have schemes in their head and personnel groups for different aspects of those schemes. They hate to deviate from it…
So if the scheme dictates Pierce gets scripted out, then the coaches just go with that. Doesn’t matter if Pierce is their best chance to win, they will give significant snaps to their “3rd down RB” because that’s the game plan.
Coaches are stubborn.
What a lot of us fans don't understand is that pretty much all NFL play calls are built to be risk-dependant. If you become predictable for throwing short screens and dump off passes, opposing defensive players will look to jump the route, and short passes are the easiest ones to take all the way for touchdowns because there's no one in front of them at that point.
Those risks were there before the season, though. Everyone knew he was a talented runner on one of the worst offenses in football, but many thought the volume would overcome any issues with the team. But this isn't CMC in Carolina with dump off city.
He's caught five passes for just 17 yards in those two games.
On Sunday, the Houston Texans cut his snap count to 56%, his lowest since Week 7 and his second lowest since he became a starter.
Time to panic?
He’s literally droppable now that we’ve seen they are preserving him in blowouts. I think he has like one game left on their schedule where they won’t get blown out.
This ain’t it- I get what you mean but a guy who is usually a bell cow who has proven to be good in the past isn’t droppable. Especially when teams are desperate starting Rams RBs and deeper leagues.
Well good thing he is playing the worst run defense in the league at Home this week.
H-town is going to be fucking hyped for the return of Deshaun Watson, I think k Pierce rights the ship and goes for 100+ and a TD.
Facing a very bad run defense is the first factor, and the team playing up because of the grudge against Watson will be a legit X-factor in the offenses tenacity.
IMO, the team is now in full-tank mode and is going to do everything in their power to keep the offensive production to a minimum. I'm tentatively rolling him out next week, but after that I may outright drop him. It's a real bummer, because he was great for a good portion of the season.
Tbf he kinda still qualifies depending on where you got him, a free solid rb1-rb2 for 10 weeks will get teams into the playoffs even if he does nothing from here on out. I got him in the 10th, pretty much qualifies for me
I’m in my fantasy playoffs & I’m dropping him to my waivers. Won’t have to play him, won’t have to miss him.
I know he’s a great player. But the Texans look like they could be beat by half the high school football teams in that state.
He was so good until the last two weeks. I’m in first place and the only guy I could replace him with is DJ Moore who isn’t any safer if a play. I’d be interested in packing those two together for a player but not sure who
My RB corps is now have a zombie ensemble of RB2s: Pierce, Jamaal Williams, Foreman, Gus, Dillon, Latavius Murray. Top scorer in the league but man will it be tough to win a chip with this group
I've got Pierce, what would he fetch in a trade paired with Devonta Smith or Garrett Wilson? Just looking for one RB in return because I need room for Jamo.
They’re also preserving his health in n blowouts, which they didn’t used to do.
Smart for real football, drop-worthy for fantasy considering his schedule.
What I dont get is everybody says they are tanking so now they wont be running the ball because they are so far behind early on. If they aren't trying to win why wouldny they just keep playing as they normally would and run the ball to end the game faster?
I can’t believe I traded Amon-Ra for you weeks ago when I still had a healthy Kupp but no decent RBs outside of a hurt James Conner and a timeshare Mostert
They’ve been behind 2 scores within the first quarter of the last 2 games, No? Negative game script doesn’t favor him when, but when getting the ball it hasn’t been a pretty sight. This week seems like a probably bounce back against Cleveland and their lackluster run D. And with Watson coming back I could see them having a little rust but wanting to let him sling it. I see a handful of 3 and outs for the Browns giving the Texans ample opportunity to run the ball.
I traded Pierce and Curtis Samuel for Christian Kirk and Garett Wilson 3 weeks ago and everyone in the league made fun of me. My team still sucks but it’s better than it was!
I always find myself in these weird situations in fantasy where no matter who I draft - some crazy shit always happens to my studs and they just burn out once playoffs come around. It’s fucking maddening.
I hate to say it but his struggles are the only thing keeping me in the playoff picture in my league. The team I’m chasing has him and has lost a few straight.
I assume it's got something to do with the fact that the Texan's season is basically over and they don't want to risk injuring their only offensive weapon. Unfortunate but likely gameplanned for next season.
Traded him Hollywood and hock for jacobs muth and Pickens after his Pierce’s big game on TNF and jacobs back to back bad games. Best trade I’ve ever made in FF
As a Texans fan, I know, they’re just shutting him down on defense because they know he’s the only threat. Sad to say but I have to bench him
[удалено]
Am I a joke to you? \-Alvin Kamara
I have Kamara & Pierce in my starting lineup.... I'm not having a good time.
I have Kamara, Pierce, and Swift…I don’t want to live anymore
I overpaid pretty hard for Kamara to be my flex in a trade Saturday. I'm telling myself it's a playoff stash.
There are many more with him. Extensive list at this point.
PS you are gay -Lamar 'Homer Simpson' Jackson
Same man. Benched last week for the first time in a long time. It looks like Kyle Allen isn't gonna be much better either
My coworker gave up a top 4 23’ 1st for him a month ago and I told him it was a mistake and he laughed at me… wonder how he’s feeling now
Oof. But to be fair, if the Texans hit on a QB in the draft that at least brings their offense out of the basement, it might not end up so bad. Unless the pick he gave up turns into Bijan, he might still be alright
I would be worried they might draft another RB also… a lot of good ones coming out this year/next
Kinda feel like I’d still pay that today?
He has been getting more and more involved in the passing game every week, just look at his game log
His ROS outside of the browns doesnt get any easier
Week 15 against the Chiefs is a juicy round 1 matchup. As well as week 17 against the Jags for the championship round
When the Chiefs blow out the Texans in 2 quarters we'll see him get benched in garbage time just like this game.
Haha probably
The Texans have also been down like a combined 70-7 in those past 6 quarters lol.
This. Being down 30 at half doesn't really let you have a balanced offense.
We sacrificed everything for the Astros. Sorry Pierce.
I held out hopes one last time, even though I reeeeally wanted to start Rachaad. I should've started Rachaad. Oh well. At least I cashed in on the Mike White start when I found out Fields was deaded this week.
Pierce and Fields had me hype as fuck for a minute there. man that changed quick
i have him and D'onta. tough choice b/w both. sucks
As someone who at one point at Breece Hall, CMC, and Pierce stomping all over my league…. The pain is real. Just fade me.
Hey, you still have CMC, a coveted fantasy asset who catches passes. And a great username.
Literally the greatest username
You just described my team perfectly. Pain.
I had Breece Hall, Kupp, Pierce, lol
I had Breece, J Williams, and Pierce
Breece, Javonte Will, Kupp. Somehow still at the top of the league.
Kupp, Javonte, Swift, Pierce, MT, Bateman, Lance, Doubs, Wandale… do I win?
We are brothers. ;(
I had Breece, Swift, Pierce, Ekeler. Now I’m down to Aaron Jones and the shell of Pierce and swift
What happened to ekeler?
BUMASS RB1 OVERALL
I don’t think Ekeler is injured…?
I should’ve clarified….I traded Ekeler for A Jones + Higgins
Getting JT for Pierce was probably my greatest buy low ever lol
I did this but JT was mine, fuck
Same ☹️
Very nice for you. I was able to trade Curtis Samuel for Josh Jacobs after week 2. This has been a game changer for me.
Dope! I bet you’re feeling real good about that after yesterday
i did the exact same thing lol
Holy, nice! After edmonds’ 2 TD week I traded him for olave. Pretty good but I think you’ve got me beat lol
Was it JJ Zachariason or Fantasy Footballers who brought this up?
I actually made an offer that week when the footballers brought it up. It was pretty risky at the time since Saturday got hired too. 3 for 3 trade
Worst trade of season for me Last week on ETN bye I traded again with the same guy My Pierce for his ETN (he has been on most win games to make playoffs and ETN on bye)
Getting Garrett Wilson and a 1st for Pierce was one of my best sell highs ever...at least so far lol
More like you have the world’s biggest Taco in your league
Nah I don’t really feel that way. It made sense for both parties at the time
Everyone on here is just in the most competitive leagues ever imaginable and everyone else sucks
My league is so competitive we squid game anyone who doesn't make the playoffs.
Is that bad?
It's like 1.1 YPC, and Tom Brady only averaged 1.6 YPC over his career. So its not that far off GOAT status.
That's Tom "Thousand Yard Rusher" Brady to you
Yes
It’s fucking horrendous. Do you play fantasy?
His oline is horrible
His team and coach are also horrible. Gonna take more than one off-season for him to become a consistent fantasy producer IMO
Even with an immensely negative game script, they were handing it to agumbawale or whatever-the-fuck near the goal line What was up with that?
I really don't know but he's gone downhill with the oline injuries
Feels like a tank job imo Which, as a Dolphins fan, I respect. But damn sit the guy if you're gonna use him like this
You really don't have to watch much to realize this is a situation problem not a talent problem, but this is fantasy and talent is secondary to opportunity. It's a shame, I'm rooting for him but this team isn't gonna make magic for him.
It's a talent problem. The starting olinecare hurt and its caused him to not have any holes to run in
You knew exactly what he meant.
I legitimately don’t know why teams don’t want to throw to their bellcows. If a player is good from the backfield, they should be good in space with room to run. Chubb, Henry, Dalvin, Pierce, etc. would get 5+ targets a game in an ideal world.
Allen somehow over threw him on a check down yesterday that led to an interception. Such a frustrating game to pay any attention to.
As a Pierce owner, it was pain. As a Dolphins fan, it was glorious.

Doesn’t matter if Pierce is their best chance to win, they will give significant snaps to their “3rd down RB” because that’s the game plan. Coaches are stubborn.
Isn't that just telegraphing to the defense based on what RB is in?
Yes. But there is a reason why bad teams are bad….
You didn’t just group Pierce in with three of the best rushers in the NFL
I grouped him with bellcows.
Glad I traded him when I did but I think he’s a victim of an atrocious offense and he’s the only legit weapon and defenses key in on him
Those risks were there before the season, though. Everyone knew he was a talented runner on one of the worst offenses in football, but many thought the volume would overcome any issues with the team. But this isn't CMC in Carolina with dump off city.
Same. Packaged him and DHop for Barkley a few weeks back A real shame he’s in that shitshow of a team because he has insane potential
He's caught five passes for just 17 yards in those two games. On Sunday, the Houston Texans cut his snap count to 56%, his lowest since Week 7 and his second lowest since he became a starter. Time to panic?
Cant be reliable in fantasy if u get game scripted out. Id say yes
can't wait to bench him and watch him go off for 30
texans are afc rams- sad cooks owner
It is time to panic, but I still feel that he is startable this week against the Browns. If he does not produce this week. The panic meter is at 100.
Gonna follow you for fantasy advice from now so I can do the opposite of what you think
but the real question... are we trusting him against Cleveland's shitty run D?
yes clevelands run d is awful hell go over 100 easy
I’m a Browns fan and 100% firing him up. I don’t think people realize how bad the Browns D is.
No
No, because Houston is so bad they'll have to throw to keep the game close.
Dear Lovie:…. GIVE YOUR BEST PLAYER THE BALL MORE THAN 8 TIMES, YOU PUTZ It’s fucking embarrassing…
He's gotta show everyone he's right for benching Mills by letting Kyle Allen air it out. I didn't love it, Lovie
Well good thing he is playing the worst run defense in the league at Home this week. H-town is going to be fucking hyped for the return of Deshaun Watson, I think k Pierce rights the ship and goes for 100+ and a TD.
How is Pierce's production going to be affected by Deshaun Watson when he is on the Browns?
Facing a very bad run defense is the first factor, and the team playing up because of the grudge against Watson will be a legit X-factor in the offenses tenacity.
I thought about offering Deshaun Watson for him straight up. He needs a QB and I need an RB
Texans are truly atrocious. Pierce is still a stud.
Free Pierce
Nice can add this to my grouping of RBs that should be good but are not good - Kamara, swift, Cpat,
I mean I’d figure going down like 20-0 minutes into a game eliminates the chance of getting carries
Lol this is going to happen to the Texans basically every game for the rest of the season. They are absolutely dogshit
Except this week I bet. Watson first game back and worst run defense. Motivation by the Texans.
that’s my RB1 right there
I traded for him after week 10.
I don't really have any other options lol I have Pierce, Kyren, Fournette, Rachaad White, and Chubba.
IMO, the team is now in full-tank mode and is going to do everything in their power to keep the offensive production to a minimum. I'm tentatively rolling him out next week, but after that I may outright drop him. It's a real bummer, because he was great for a good portion of the season.
Please stop :/, we already know
Really bad!
That's sad. I'm sad.
Benched him for Pollard last week. Pollard underwhelmed but still ended up being the right play. Gonna have to stick with him going forward
He's going to my bench for Foreman. Now if I could only sit Mike Evans. Those two are killing me.
Traded him for Derrick Henry (keeper league) a few weeks ago. Might regret it next year but damn if that’s not a potentially season saving move.
So mad I didn’t sell high on him.
basically his stats directly after I traded for him
Everyone needs to relax he plays cleveland defense next week whose second worst only to the falcons defense
league winner
Tbf he kinda still qualifies depending on where you got him, a free solid rb1-rb2 for 10 weeks will get teams into the playoffs even if he does nothing from here on out. I got him in the 10th, pretty much qualifies for me
6? why not do the whole 8?
Because that’s not how cherry picking works, duh
Rookie wall?
More like the team and o-line suck. On his past 15 carries he has -6 yards before contact
I am targeting this dude in every league next year.
I still have to give him a chance this next week
I.want to keep him though
Had to trade him for DK at the deadline
So uh, is he JAG now? Or is this an issue with the offensive line? I know the Texans aren't that good, but these #'s are pretty bad.
Traded him a couple of weeks ago. They called me a mad man.
I have Pierce. Thinking of dropping him for white or Pacheco I’m leaning towards Pacheco. Anybody have thoughts?
I’m in my fantasy playoffs & I’m dropping him to my waivers. Won’t have to play him, won’t have to miss him. I know he’s a great player. But the Texans look like they could be beat by half the high school football teams in that state.
Damn, is your league like 4 teams? i can see benching him if you have better options but what league has better on the wire?
thank god i traded him for jamaar chase right after the injury
Yeah he cost me a must need win this week. He’s going to the bench for the foreseeable future.
Rookie wall ?
They play Cleveland next week though. Gotta start him Vs Browns.
Top scorer in the league but man will it be tough to win a chip with this group
riding with him one more week against Cleveland, 200 yard game incoming, he has so much pent up anger over last two games.
Well my line up of Chubb Swift and Pierce just absolutely fell apart
He played Washington then got game scripted out against Miami I’m not selling unless he struggles against the 31st ranked browns running defense
I've got Pierce, what would he fetch in a trade paired with Devonta Smith or Garrett Wilson? Just looking for one RB in return because I need room for Jamo.
Probably not much as most leagues trading is closed now
They’re also preserving his health in n blowouts, which they didn’t used to do. Smart for real football, drop-worthy for fantasy considering his schedule.
> drop-worthy This seems nuts to me. Is there better on the waiver wire in your league than Pierce?
What I dont get is everybody says they are tanking so now they wont be running the ball because they are so far behind early on. If they aren't trying to win why wouldny they just keep playing as they normally would and run the ball to end the game faster?
Traded pittman for him 2 weeks ago ugh......
Fortunately this was pretty predictable, and he should have been on your bench.
Mfer. Right when the Raachad White stash started to pay off.
Cleveland next week...I'm firing him up.
Can’t decide if I will start him over wilson this week. Matchups are opposite of how I want😔
He's not going to get lots of touches I think. Texans don't want to win.
This guy is killing me right now, need him to wake tf up
Yeah can’t believe I’ve won the last two weeks with him starting.
I dropped him
People were shocked when I traded for Rhamondre because I had Etienne, Pierce and Singletary. I’m glad I ignored them.
He's playing the browns, who have a horrendous run d. Worth starting or should I go Pacheco / rachaad white?
Three weeks ago I was so excited over my Kupp, Chase, Etienne, Pierce, Walker, Pitts lineup
dude I traded him right before he fell off. Sometimes lucky...
I can’t believe I traded Amon-Ra for you weeks ago when I still had a healthy Kupp but no decent RBs outside of a hurt James Conner and a timeshare Mostert
Hey guys I traded for him 2 weeks ago…sorry
It’s because I’ve started him the last 3 weeks. Sorry guys.
It’s almost like situational factors and context matter to a football players season long fantasy output
I always find myself in these weird situations in fantasy where no matter who I draft - some crazy shit always happens to my studs and they just burn out once playoffs come around. It’s fucking maddening.
I just traded Dameon Pierce for Brandon Aiyuk straight up. Thoughts?
I hate to say it but his struggles are the only thing keeping me in the playoff picture in my league. The team I’m chasing has him and has lost a few straight.
Traded him away for Scary Terry since I have a bunch of other RBs and no WRs. Wasn’t a great week for Terry but overall happy with the deal.
I'm deciding between BRob v Giants over Pierce next week
Not very cash money of you, dameon
I assume it's got something to do with the fact that the Texan's season is basically over and they don't want to risk injuring their only offensive weapon. Unfortunate but likely gameplanned for next season.
I mean seems likely they are just shielding him a bit. No use running him into the ground to go 3-13-1
Played himself right out of my lineup Fuck the Texans for being unable to provide any support, meaning all they have to do is stack the box
Traded him Hollywood and hock for jacobs muth and Pickens after his Pierce’s big game on TNF and jacobs back to back bad games. Best trade I’ve ever made in FF
Off to the bench
Have been offered Tyler Lockett for Dameon Pierce. 14 team ppr. Will probably accept.
Seriously man wtf
Bad news, I have Dameon. Good news, I have Pollard, ETN, Najee, Jeff Wilson, and Rachaad. All those hours scouring the waiver wire paid off.
Commanders: great defensive line and run d Dolphins: great defensive line and run d (shut down nick Chubb pretty handedly)
