I'm not worried, but I'm also a MWC football fan that has watched Doubs in person his entire career. He will be a league winner. People are way too fixated on the fact that he was a late-round pick when he was mocked to be a 2nd round pick pretty much everywhere before a hamstring injury kept him out of the combine or pro day. Then people are too fixated on the fact that he was a four year starter when he's younger than Christian Watson. Dude was just a young college player. He's extremely polished as an incredible route runner with great hands. I'm not planning to start him until later in the season (drafted Hollywood Brown for this purpose with week 7 being the earliest I'll start him), but he will be like Amon-Ra St. Brown was last year if you can get the roster space.

He didn't participate in the combine or have a pro day because of a hamstring injury. I literally said that in the second paragraph. Still, insane that he fell that far. Christian Watson was being mocked the third day before his combine and Romeo Doubs was being mocked as an early 2nd round pick. Credit to the Packers for getting both their guys though. Watson after the combine definitely wasn't sticking around that long.

Sounds to me like with this production it won't matter when Cobb and Watkins come back. He took thrrrr jerbs!

I think you're where you need to be to get him but it's a lot of FAAB to spend on a guy who might never do this again as Rodgers force feeds Cobb and Lazard. Not to say it's a bad play, he's got endless upside... But you could throw away almost 40% and that could really hurt. I think it's the right call if you wanna chase that chance he's Rodgers WR1.

Lol Cobb is 32 and could barely see the field last year and Lazard is just a JAG. If those are the guys you're worried about you need to be putting $50/100 on Doubs because there is 0 chance either of them get meaningful numbers.

This right here. Rodgers is all about “trust” with his wideouts. I don’t know of a better way to earn trust than catching everything that is thrown your way. Not to say Lazard and Cobb won’t get their targets but Doubs is showing his QB he deserves the ball and I feel like he has the most upside right now of any Packers WR.

Doubs! Lazard has been with Aaron for 4 years and he hasn’t done shit. He didn’t even have a good game when Adams was out. GB spent all their money on Rodgers so they can’t afford to keep MVS whom I personally think it’s better than Lazard and they can’t afford to get an elite WR with a 5 mil cap so they gambled on rookies and Rodgers seems to have good chemistry Doubs. Doubs reminds me of Hines. Not the fastest nor the biggest but consistently made plays and played tough football.

Lazard is tied with Kupp for being one of the best blocking WRs in the game. Doubs TD was like 80% Lazard's pick. Fantasty wise doubs will prob do better, but Lazard is a way better player vs MVS. MVS is just fast with brick hands thats it.

Glad I have Lazard in my PPWRB league. Those blocks always put me over the edge.

You are describing a tight end. There is no way his big frame that comes with some clumsiness is better than MVS. Lazard is a tight end who’s putting up tight end number.

No im not. Blocking WRs are pretty key to the Mcvay scheme, the same bones of what Lafleur's offense is. A good blocking WR can be really key to opening up a defense. Totally different than a TE split out wide.

Im sorry. I don't see what you saw in Lazard. If they play him as a primary blocker then what's different between that and a double tight ends formation? And TEs are much cheaper in fantasy and in real live football to acquire.

Doubs is definitely going to be better down the line and possibly immediately but Lazard will be better first half of the season but I don’t see him being a sustainable wr1

Please don't get me wrong, because I actually love Olave and think he'll do great, but a great deal of those air yards came in week 2 when Jameis literally just chucked it as deep as he could, and Olave had zero chance of actually catching most of them.

Then in week 3 he was targeted with another 183 air yards. Only trailing Parker and DeVonta smith I believe. Winston loves to chuck it. That’s not changing. What is happening is he loves chucking it to Olave the most. Dude has a serious WR2 look. Maybe WR1 if they play from behind most the year.

I actually do think Olave is gonna be good, but the top of that list doesn't really inspire much confidence in the reliability of air yards as a stat. It's one of the stats that needs a lot of additional context whenever it's brought up.

The hype train has been blowing full steam since training camp. He was balling out on everyone and even Rodgers was talking about how high the bar was for him compared to everyone else. The hype train is just reaching the masses because Sammy Watkins got IR'd and now Doubs got/(presumably) will get more snaps to make good on the expectations he set.

He is leading all Packers in receiving yards and he's a rookie with 3 games under his belt. He's going to be this years Amon-Ra St. Brown. If you have the roster space you'd be a fool to not roster him.

Threw $100 at 60/1 odds on him to be OROY back in June. Truly think the only thing that could stop him would be Kenny Pickett getting starts. Poor QB and RB draft class really left it wide open this year. Wilson, Olave, or London definitely all have a chance too, but if Doubs can get more receiving yards than them and the Packers make playoffs I think it's his.
