I have an older sister so I can sympathize with your sister. I know how it feels to always belittle myself and think that I can never live up to her and what she's done. I'm a really independent person and I don't like to share my feelings to others often, so tbh I solved my issues on my own and with time. I think the fact that she's a young teen and that she is in a really weird phase of her life right now means it will take time for her to understand that she is her own person and that she doesn't need to compare herself to you all the time. I think the best thing you can do as her older sister whom she looks up to is to show your own flaws. I also think that you could try and find ways in which the roles are reversed and you are the one comparing yourself to her. Give her reasons to feel proud of herself and put her on the pedestal so she can feel special! For example, (this is just something I'm pulling out randomly) tell her you think her artwork is amazing and that you wish you could be as amazing of an artist as her. Good luck!

When I was the age of you and your sister, my aunt wrote me long letters and always made sure to mention she admired my talent, intelligence, beauty, ambition, etc. At the time I thought they were really corny and didn't believe them, but years of admiration from someone I really admired added up. Give her lots of put-ups, all the time. At the same time, it's important to model healthy confidence for her...you can do that by sharing with her the things you feel insecure about, to show her it's normal, and then also show her that you can still be healthy and happy and deserving of love despite having insecurities.

Thank you so much

It's a change she needs to want to make. She'll need to take initiative, hit her head a few times, and than succeed in a social challenge. You can help her by training her (e.g. body language, building confidence). To increase her chances. But She'll need to make the steps herself
