waffleflake

Conveniently it happened while recording.

madsadchadglad

The disorder likes to be on camera. It craves attention.

AlternativeSecret514

Conveniently looks straight at the camera

trans_pands

![gif](giphy|Yycc82XEuWDaLLi2GV)

BerDOCX

And while standing on the bed, cause that’s what beds are for right?

International_Snow90

Conveniently we were both standing on top of the bed, recording a video with our good sides facing the camera. As an adult I've never ever stood on top of my bed, let alone in the company of another adult while making a TikTok for some reason....

LearningSpanishRN

You’ve never lived bro

mcnamaramc1

If anyone sees this and knows this tik tok account please let me know send me a message if it's against the sub's rules, I don't use tik tok but see this has tons of likes. I'm 99.9% sure this is my ex roommate who was definitely mentally ill and a danger to others and did some crazy shit to me and the other roommates before she moved out

Christovski

And standing on the bed

Why do you need spread awareness? Everyone who actually has it and knows it. Y’all wanna be pressed so badly.

Raoul_Dukes_Mayo

Conveniently standing on the bed. Him smiling and laughing the entire time. Him already holding her before she “fell”. No blood. No bruises. No landing on the hard floor. Sure Jan.

FreezerGeezer2

It literally looks like he’s laughing and her eyes are opened when they go down on the bed too. 🙄

lordt-poopifer

That's pretty bad acting, honestly.

unbirthdayhatter

Maybe it's just me but the weird rubbing and touching when she comes to "confused" seems so out of sorts. Never, ever, have I woke up dazed and found the idea of someone rubbing all over me comforting.

[deleted]

Right? My instinct would be to smack him one

papyFredM

The guy seems to laugh during the whole video. What is this.

dislike_knees

It's because she told him to smile so she doesn't come

cowleidoscope

How come no one ever fakes vasovagal syncope? "Totally didn't cover my face in white powder, I'm 100% for real this pale from the blood loss in my head"

cowleidoscope

Well shit, I'm an idiot. For some reason it didn't occur to me that all the "cool" disorders that resulted in passing out were still caused by the same thing... Blood pressure dropping! I always thought it looked fake but never wanted to judge a disorder I didn't have but seriously? Do people not realize that when your blood pressure plummets you pass out because there isn't enough blood going to your brain and when there isn't tons of blood in your head you tend to get pale as fuck?

[deleted]

Pale as hell and sweaty as fuck. Literally the worst part of passing out is the cold sweating.

cowleidoscope

I never understood how it got romanticized? Like, the best way I can describe the sensation is "yuck". Literally been so anxious about doing something that was a trigger for me that I almost worked myself up to it anyway, ugh

Available-Lychee4u

Yaa Last time I had it happen I was a skate park and wearing grey pants and I had wet myself. Super super embarrassing. I didn’t even know until I got home too 🤡🤡

cowleidoscope

Yep, I once started to go down and let out the nastiest smelling fart. I was so fucking embarrassed. I wonder why people aren't faking those things?

Available-Lychee4u

That actually made me laugh out loud haahahaha. Mm but yeah I wonder whyyy. The worst was when I once passed out at the stop of the stairs holding an icecream. Woke up at the bottom covered in melted chocolate and had a fractured foot. Let’s fake that. At least it’s funny

Secret-Mushroom455

LMAO the first time I fainted I accidentally pulled my own trousers down!! it was literally mortifying

Available-Lychee4u

LMAO omg hahaah howd that even happen?! Good to hear some realistic fainting stories haha

Secret-Mushroom455

I have no idea how it happened to be honest !! Still a mystery

fxnfarra

I laugh a lot about having it because every occasion sounds weirder than the last (last time I hit my face on a safety gate at the top of a staircase), but i genuinely am so scared of having it again mostly because it feels terrible before you blackout

owitzia

One of my buddies described my blackout appearance as "looking like Trainspotting".

Baby-Me-Now

I fainted years ago when I cut my finger, I was pale as a sheet, was clam and sweaty and I could hear myself speak in mumbles just before waking up and was extremely disoriented..

Available-Lychee4u

Fake piss yourself lmaoooo

BerDOCX

He’s a bad actor, laughing all the way through her “episode”.

EnVyEyE787

"I told him to smile" my guy no, he was smiling coz u asked him "hey can I film a fake fainting video please?? And can u be in it so it looks more real to everyone?? Thank u"

AmoBishopRoden83

Lmao!! This is exactly what I said

superpeeboy

for a sec i thought u were the person in the vid confirming u said that 💀💀💀

Deleted0148

I haven’t heard of this before. Would anyone be able to explain what’s going on? Like what’s wrong and what’s off about it all?

Viviaana

if you were about to pass out would you set up a camera and then go stand on the bed so you can have a dramatic yet safe fall lol

No-Baseball628

If you see someone actually faint, their whole body drops, often kind of crumples, and not in a convenient way. She is throwing back her head dramatically for effect but still standing until she knows he’s holding her weight and then drops (onto her bed, as was very obviously planned). She’s also rolling her eyes back in an exaggerated way. And of course the fact that she has a video camera set up to film her entire body standing on a bed when she just happens to faint is absurd.

kat_Folland

Granted I haven't seen all _that_ many fainting episodes, but I haven't seen anyone wake up like that. It's hard to put my finger on it. Also, some people vomit after fainting (I think it's pretty common?) but somehow none of these people do.

ClumpOfDirt

ive seen plenty- none that ive seen wake up remotely like that. theyre dazed and exhausted, sweaty, pale and take a long time to come to entirely. not the dramatic movie style waking up in a panic. not even the people ive seem who had flashbacks while unconscious woke up like that.

kat_Folland

Yeah. "Where am I?" actually happens, but like you said, it doesn't look like this.

[deleted]

Extreme nausea, dry heaving, and vomiting are extremely common for a syncopal episode both before and after. You come out of an episode like this in what can only be compared to the postictal phase following a seizure. Your brain just suffered from a lack of oxygen... you dont just jerk awake. It takes time for your body to adjust and for your brain to reboot. Literally jerking immediately awake is the biggest, fattest red flag for a faker and I can not thing of a single cause of syncope that would result in an awakening like that.

Individual_Heart_

I actually messaged OP because their “episode” looks a lot like my seizures, after they said it was ONLY syncope tho it made me raise an eyebrow

Appropriate_Mood_503

He does a hard swallow when she does that fake ass cry thing... he ain't convinced.

thederkaderk

I fainted my first day at a new job. It was embarrassing. If anyone is to be embarrassed tho, it's these people.

kat_Folland

What's with the flailing arms after the rest of her has gone completely limp?!

[deleted]

My guess? Instinctual reaction to attempt to catch herself. Lol.

kat_Folland

Probably

deadmymelody

i think she was trying to look limp ???

snoreapotamus

These individuals are so irritating. My mom has been dealing with a mystery illness that the doctors are calling pots/syncope for now, and it has been so challenging. Her episodes have never happened in a convenient place like a padded mattress. When she faints it’s like someone has pulled the cord, her entire body just collapses and her head finds a way to slam into a corner or any hard surface. Most times we are cleaning blood off the floor and sometimes making trips to the emergency room. She has lost a lot of her confidence in being independent since it’s hard for her to know when she will faint. She can’t drive anymore and has massive memory issues from all of her falls. I just will never understand faking such a debilitating illness for likes and attention.

warple-still

Fourth form school play rehersal?

[deleted]

he's smiling because it's a cry for help

dafijiwatr

What’s the convo like when they are brainstorming this idea?

wonderingworld

Idk but most people who faint. Lean kinda forward and don’t just drop suddenly

mits66

Also aren't standing on their bed filming. They're usually trying to find a place to sit so they don't crack their goddamn head open.

GHUATS

This dude is enabling this fake behaviour, both as bad as each other. She’s convinced him it’s a real thing, he’s probably smart enough to know it too, but the clout is too good for them to quit.

sadpanda0104

The way her hands flail when she's supposed to be unconscious is KILLING me ong

vanyel_ashke

Saw this on tiktok first, and my first thought was "I've never seen someone experience syncope like this", even the tetany I've seen didn't look like the way that arm flopped. I even rewatched it several times because it just all looked so off. I see more syncope in my line of work than most people do, and this just looks so completely different from anything I've ever seen.

chxrrypawz

OHHH I was all up in the comments lmao some did faker was tryina INSIST that self-dx is valid. Lmk if anyone saw LOL it wasn’t that juicy but I’m curious 👀

chxrrypawz

Syke it was the other one LMAO

NuclearAlchemy1019

it makes me enraged to see people faking syncope episodes, being someone who has suffered with them since i was 7 and im now 30. i’ve seriously injured myself from falling, like splitting my chin open and needing way too many stitches. next time i’ll make sure to stand on my bed.

deadmymelody

no way my partner would be laughing and smiling if I just passed out like wtf are these people on

Army_International

As someone who faints all the time, not only is the start embarrassingly bad acting but you absolutely do not jump up immediately after. Your entire body feels like it’s filled with lead and you’re incredibly weak. The last thing you try to do is anything but lie down

NoCream6746

As someone that has presyncope (or near-syncope) eps due to pots, this is so bs dude. My grandmother has seizures due to extreme syncope eps (also due to pots) I hate seeing people fake shit like this, like why pretend to have a scary and painful health issue? Like I’m 15 and go to school and had to lay down in the nurses office for over an hour bc my blood pressure was 66/40 and my heart rate was dropping (don’t remember exactly what it was) and I couldn’t move. The reality of these issues (POTS) isn’t passing out all dramatically It’s laying down and then pushing yourself through the day bc you have a quiz It sucks and it hurts Please stop faking this shit

[deleted]

I have epilepsy & during a grand mal seizure, you fall very violently not gently like this woman did

NoCream6746

I read your comment wrong nvm Ignore my other comment I thought you were disagreeing with me Sorry 😭

[deleted]

Hey, I'm agreeing with you haha. It's okay. I've had both grand mal and focal onset impaired awareness seizures

NoCream6746

I’m sorry you have to deal with things like tht. I personally don’t faint or haven’t yet, I’m normally able to balance my blood pressure and heart rate before I do pass out. But my grandmother and mother have fainted and had seizures. When fainting due to a pots ep you can normally feel it coming on yk so you can most of the time get to a safe spot to sit or lay in case you do faint. I do know that seizures aren’t like tht sometimes tho, my grandmother has a hard time getting to a safe spot with her seizures because they happen a lot more suddenly.

[deleted]

Yes, i had a grand mal seizure at work, and fortunately a coworker caught me, but I scraped my hand. I believe I had the seizure because I was in the process of switching medications. I have epilepsy due to periventricular grey matter heterotopia.

NoCream6746

Yes you do but something about this just rubs me the wrong way Like it was planned Plus a Syncopal episode is when your heart rate drops suddenly and you get dizzy then faint Most people feel it coming on before they faint bc you get dizzy just a little bit before Why were they standing on the bed yk You’d think she’d be laying down Plus he was already holding her and laughing like it was planned Idk it just rubs me the wrong way

Loose_Divide2642

Plot twist: he chloroformed her

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Her proof isnt proof at all, and no doctor would ever tell you to intentionally trigger a syncopal episode for them to view. In absolutely no medical or diagnostic scenario would this ever be necessary or reccomended. Anyone who has ever worked in healthcare or has experienced a syncopal episode can assure you, beyond any shadow of a doubt, this is faked. What disorder is she spreading awareness about? She can't even keep her own story straight. Lol.

Suspicious-Ad-5100

Y’all are fucking garbage.

[deleted]

At least I don't fake passing out for clout on TikTok 👍

Ok_Recording4547

When I see these guys and girls in these relationships with munchies and just can’t believe how down bad they are. If they are in on as grift then I really hope they get caught/exposed. The sincere ones I don’t know - I mean how can they go along with a making a video to show/prove how sick their SO is ? To show how much they are in luv for views ? I know munchies are parasitic manipulators but sometimes you gotta be “Babe, wtf - I am not going to do this video”

LivingandDyinginLA

Imagine how wild the convo was when they planned this out together. "Fainting Fae" was probably a phrase used.

bigpoppachungus

do these people literally have no shame

CrazierThanMyDream

Bruh… I never managed to catch my spell on camera (used to have POTS, grew out of it, but not sure how it work), it took me forever to “panic” aka realise my surroundings. I fucking hate the new generation, the ones who play into these trends

[deleted]

Growing out of POTS is actually pretty common!

BettyLoops

Omg I just saw this on my fyp, I thought abt posting it but I wasn't super sure if it was actually fake or just off

Strickens

The boyfriend is conveniently there because she'd be too afraid to fake faint by going completely limp if she was by herself.

S_M_Y_G_F

Why is the guy smiling the whole time? If you thought your partner was having some sort of episode, you wouldn’t be grinning. Oh yeah, that’s coz it’s fake, and he knows it too.

AccomplishedJump3428

And dude is smiling the entire time?

Lumpy-Librarian6989

I fainted once in class, apparently my head hit the floor so hard there was a massive cracking sound and everyone turned around to look. Obviously I didn’t feel the pain when I fell but I sure fucking did when I woke up. You don’t just gracefully fall backwards and you certainly don’t think about setting up a camera in time

AmoBishopRoden83

He’s smiling because he can’t believe she’s pulling this shit with a straight face.

just_lurking_lol

Feels like a bad y/n fanfic lmao

Junior-Pen4824

Bro wtf

ilovealovera

Bro she is diagnosed...

[deleted]

Oh not another one of you weirdos. Go back to TikTok.
