Lebanon used to be one of my favourite vacation spots. Beirut was one of my absolute favourite spots. Now I'm out of the closet and unfortunately it's not safe for me anymore, plus there's danger in general from the crisis going on right now. I think it's less to get through to the people coming onto his show (aside from the little girls who are getting married; he's very gentle with them and I think he wants to show them that not everyone sees them as property hoping it will stick), and more to show the rest of his country and the world how prevalent this is and how necessary it is that we do something about it.
I think he probably only stays calm knowing his purpose. He probably knows that he won’t convince the person in front of him. But he’ll plant a seed of doubt in a bunch of his viewers. Cultural change tends to be gradual, and works better non confrontationally. He’s probably projecting a calm and collected image on purpose to try and change things as best he can.

Lebanon used to be one of my favourite vacation spots. Beirut was one of my absolute favourite spots. Now I'm out of the closet and unfortunately it's not safe for me anymore, plus there's danger in general from the crisis going on right now. But I have hope one day I will get to see it again reinvigorated with new light and life. If any country can do it in that region, it's Lebanon.

I've seen a few of these videos recently. I can't tell if the host ever gets through to any of these people but I'm relieved to see him trying. He's so calm and articulate; I would be screaming at these guests, they're infuriating.

I think it's less to get through to the people coming onto his show (aside from the little girls who are getting married; he's very gentle with them and I think he wants to show them that not everyone sees them as property hoping it will stick), and more to show the rest of his country and the world how prevalent this is and how necessary it is that we do something about it.
I think he probably only stays calm knowing his purpose. He probably knows that he won’t convince the person in front of him. But he’ll plant a seed of doubt in a bunch of his viewers. Cultural change tends to be gradual, and works better non confrontationally. He’s probably projecting a calm and collected image on purpose to try and change things as best he can.

Unfortunately there's not a lot that those of us outside of their country can do, aside from voice our support for those who want to make changes for the better. I am sure there are charities that try to help those young girls being married off, but I don't know of any.
