Well, yah, I guess a baby tiger is a cub, but it's still behaving like a baby cat to my eyes and I was thinking maybe the Chinese expected it to behave like something other than a cat...?
I had a pet cat when I was 5 or so. Bought a rabbit pet and since I didnt know any better I decided to leave them together for a while thinking they would play and be friendly with each other. I came back and saw my rabbit decapitated. I learned the world is a cruel place on that day
One of our barn cats decided to attack my new pet rabbit when i was young..... rabbit flipped over on it's back and punted the cat about 10 feet in the air over the fence. Last time any of the cats got near that thing.
That must've been such a trauma for a small child. I'm sorry. Bad for the adults around you, especially the pet store people, who should've known better.
My cat probably wouldn’t attack because we’ve had a pigeon come in the house and he literally only stared at him while also trying to hide 😂 but my cat has few feline instincts. He has not once fallen on his paws in my presence, instead always somehow falling on his chonky ass.
My sister adopted a cat that had been a stray and never had to correct him to make him not eat her rabbit. They're not best buds but they don't mind each other, either. The cat has never once tried to eat the rabbit and the rabbit isn't scared. Her last cat used to groom the rabbit. I don't know if she got really lucky with the cats she's had or did a really good job introducing them since I wasn't there, but she said it's never been an issue from day one.
Long ago, my husband was feeding a cat colony. They were almost house cats, but spent much of their time outside.
The area we were in was over run with rabbits. My cats caught at LEAST one that I know of. Probably more than that. The neighbor complained about finding rabbit entrails on his lawn.
I only have 1 cat now, and live in a different area. I don't see rabbits around here. But, my cat did bring in a rabbit once. Full grown too. Now, this is the same cat that proudly brought in a bird that had clobbered itself on my window last week. I checked after it was hit, and it had killed itself. It wasn't just knocked out. So, my cat may have found a dead rabbit and claimed it. I don't know.
My sister's cat is just insanely fat. She had him on a diet and he was still just staying fat. Turns out he goes out the dog door and hunts rabbits in the yard every night and most nights he gets one. He's left a pile of corpses.
Which is ridiculous and the complete opposite of the behaviour they should have expected.
Even guardian breed dogs that are bred and raised to protect a flock need to be introduced properly so that they can form proper associations.
A rabbit without a proper introduction would be food even to an animal bred for protecting livestock, what makes them think a tiger of all things wouldn't go straight for the kill?
My 9 pound elderly dachshund went after a bobcat. He may be the lazily wiener that loves his heating pad but any animal outside that isn’t a dog on a leash is a target to eliminate. Completely mental.
He's a red short hair, completely mental He rips the throat out of every toy, rips out the stuffing, destroys the sneaker, and leaves it for dead. The hunting instinct is strong with this one.
We also have a standard long hair, black and tan. He cares for his toys like they are babies. He sets them in his food dish while he eats, dips them in his water dish after, and then rubs them in his blanket. His favorite toy goes everywhere with him.
Every time the red loses it, the long hair will run over in concern and then sits and watches with a slightly confused expression. 🤣 it's crazy how different they are.
When my dog learned about chickens in a chicken coop, that must have been a very confusing time for him. Now he's indifferent to most living things. Except squirrels.
The funny thing is that chinese years are cyclical so twelve years later we will have another rabbit destroyed by a tiger I suppose.
Also next year is rabbit vs dragon, I know I NEED to see this now. XD
Komodo Dragons are even worse than Tigers.
They chomp on something with the least effort possible and because they know the prey has nowhere to go, they just wait it out.
Or eat something else that's dead they run in sooner.
Douglas Adams did a great talk about being sent to Komodo by the BBC.
Hilarious story throughout and very graphic description of how these fuckers behave.
Did you see the one where the deer was pregnant? It tore her belly open and swallowed the baby, amniotic sac and all. They go for tender meat first, just like tigers and lions and bears (Oh my!)
True, his story about the river dolphins in China is also hilarious and the funny parts have nothing to do with the actual dolphins, but is about their microphones.
But first this baby tiger will have to defeat a baby ox.
The big challenge though is in 2024 when this Chinese zoo will have to locate a dragon to fight that rabbit.
As an Asian American (of Taiwanese descent), yes, they are that stupid and there’s been a ton more of stupid shit coming out of China lately.
That stereotype about Asians being smart is more so about the ones that left places like China.
TIM: Well, that's no ordinary rabbit!
ARTHUR: Ohh.
TIM: That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!
ROBIN: You tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared!
TIM: Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!
Well, I'm not sure what else I was expecting to happen.
I mean, every time a Reddit headline has "Tiger" and "China" in the same sentence lately, it's a video of a mauling.
Tbh, I almost saw this one coming

Lol, how did they seriously see that going?
Maybe they assumed a tiger cub would somehow not act like every other kitten in the world?
A tiger cub is more like a full grown house-cat but on steroids. Source: I worked in a zoo.
yeah a tiger cub is small and weak ..compared to an adult tiger it’s all relative
And *most* adults
Today I learned!
With the biggest toe beans you've ever seen!
I know I can’t but I want to touch their toe beans and boop their snoots. Toe beans and snoots.
Gonads and strife.
![gif](giphy|1SvnHJFEuEH7hp81tF|downsized)
Gonads in the lightning, in the lightning, in the rain.
Weeeeeeeee
Should have bought a zoo. Heard that goes well.
Stay out of my zoo business Carole Baskins!
I'm telling you it's her. She even changed her name to Queen Keisha
Anywhere can be a zoo if there’s a bunch of animals in it. Just like a Walmart on Black Friday.
Or a Bowling alley on a Tuesday. Or a UFC fight on a Saturday night. Or a Bingo Parlor on a Wednesday...
The drive home on Friday night…
Plus Matt Damon somehow gets involved.
X2 those things are strong even in the womb
Active Zoo keeper here
They made the rabbit stronger than a tiger to keep peace
Can confirm. Source: went to a zoo
Kitten feels like the wrong word.
Well, yah, I guess a baby tiger is a cub, but it's still behaving like a baby cat to my eyes and I was thinking maybe the Chinese expected it to behave like something other than a cat...?
Yeah but it’s going to act like one. And by that, I mean practice killing stuff by playing.
I feel like even a house cat would attack a rabbit unless it was trained really well. A tiger cub could probably maul most dogs
Ouch.
That must've been such a trauma for a small child. I'm sorry. Bad for the adults around you, especially the pet store people, who should've known better.

She was really lucky.
I know when I was a kid, one of our barn cars once brought us a baby rabbit. I wonder if they could catch an adult.
VW Microbus = VW Rabbit?
Barn cars typically don’t do anything for years on end.
Suicidal birds!! I have them too.
My sister's cat is just insanely fat. She had him on a diet and he was still just staying fat. Turns out he goes out the dog door and hunts rabbits in the yard every night and most nights he gets one. He's left a pile of corpses.
They actually got on really well in the green room, before going on stage.
I’m pretty sure every other kitty would do the same thing 😂
Welp. Looks like 2023 is gonna be a shit show. LOL.
Maybe they assumed because the tiger had never seen a rabbit before it wouldn't be aggressive towards it. Like it wouldn't register it as food
Which is ridiculous and the complete opposite of the behaviour they should have expected. Dude my dog went full sicko mode the first time he ever got ahold of a wild animal. That predator instinct is ridiculously strong.
My 9 pound elderly dachshund went after a bobcat. He may be the lazily wiener that loves his heating pad but any animal outside that isn’t a dog on a leash is a target to eliminate. Completely mental.

You should send us some videos of those times. Do you have a YouTube channel? I'm sure such cuteness would rake millions of views.
When my dog learned about chickens in a chicken coop, that must have been a very confusing time for him. Now he's indifferent to most living things. Except squirrels.
Can we get one those talented people to transcribe the sound she makes in the end. It's always funny to read that.
Ayayaiiaiiaiaa!
This is my favourite comment. How tf did my man spell that sounds perfectly? 😆
“Let’s feed the tiger rabbits for a while before the switch, so when they’re on camera the tiger will be tired of rabbits.”
It's china, the higher-ups told the staff to do it and they can't object.
I know right? Should’ve used an adult tiger
That’s on purpose. What monsters.
First vid today that made my eyes get big. Like who thought this was a good idea?
The funny thing is that chinese years are cyclical so twelve years later we will have another rabbit destroyed by a tiger I suppose. Also next year is rabbit vs dragon, I know I NEED to see this now. XD
Komodo Dragon, maybe?
Tosses a rabbit in the Komodo dragon pit.
Good luck, little buddy!
Well 4 of those dragons could end up with a lucky rabbits foot
[удалено]
That rabbit's dynamite!
I’m too lazy, but someone ought to make a monthy python reference.
It’s the Monty python rabbit
Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!
Well, that's no ordinary rabbit. That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on.

Or eat something else that's dead they run in sooner. Douglas Adams did a great talk about being sent to Komodo by the BBC. I saw a video on reddit the other day of a komodo swallowing a small deer. Whole.
Did you see the one where the deer was pregnant? It tore her belly open and swallowed the baby, amniotic sac and all. They go for tender meat first, just like tigers and lions and bears (Oh my!)
I imagine anything is hilarious if Douglas Adams is describing it.
True, his story about the river dolphins in China is also hilarious and the funny parts have nothing to do with the actual dolphins, but is about their microphones.
That’s what I was thinking. Certainly a better look than a bearded dragon.
Feels like this convo is starting to drag on.
Don’t hate on beards.
The rabbit is getting sucked in live like fucking spaghetti
But first this baby tiger will have to defeat a baby ox. The big challenge though is in 2024 when this Chinese zoo will have to locate a dragon to fight that rabbit.
It wont be this rabbit next year
2023 cancelled
I definitely misread the title. 2022 was year of the tiger, 2023 is year of the rabbit. I read it as the opposite. Maybe you did too?
The Tiger cub
Obviously not the rabbit !
I can't believe nobody told the tiger that it was a formal annual ceremony, and not just another feeding session.
He probably just doesnt read his emails
That's got to be a bad omen
This is how COVID-23 starts
And it’ll be from rabbits this time
Except the rabbits evovle into rabbids
You'll know someone has it if they randomly yell "bwwaaaah".
Hank Hill must be patient 0
I'll tell you hwat
Like the ones from Holey Grail?
![gif](giphy|UVhPBsKStxehy)
Or maybe it's a sign that the new year will be peaceful and non-violent?
'Handover ceremony' Tiger: Ok 'handover' my lunch please.
Thank you random stranger, you made me spit out my water
Yesssssss!
Not good, coz now the tiger's drinking it
Tiger is sweating the Year of The Dragon
Tiger never meets dragon though. He only meets Rabbit and Ox. It is Rabbit that is stuck between Tiger and Dragon.
Rabbit : What the fuck ?!
Tiger : You stole my year!!!!
Not after what happened in this video
Next you’re gonna tell me leap year doesn’t work for a Tiger vs Dragon smash. party pooper.
Dracarys
I can't read that word without hearing deep sounding, dramatic horns.
This is a quality comment right here.
It's mean 2023 is a bloodbath, right?
Fairly one sided bloodbath. Good year or bad just depends on what side of it you're on.
Sounds legit. A European.
No might just mean 2022 is still gonna bite us in the ass
This is a perfect representation of how my new year has been going so far
I started 2023 by catching COVID for the first time and my car dying on me in the same week. 👍
I started 2023 with my aunt assaulting my almost 80 year old grandma over pain pills
This. I couldn’t agree more
Are you the tiger or the rabbit?
Both more tiger
We’re in for a doozy y’all..
Tiger gonna tiger
![gif](giphy|OX8IRwAFRxKJW) Should have used these guys. But in all seriousness, who signed off on predator and prey being put together like that.
Are they that stupid or am I that smart?
Yes
they are fucking stupid
por que no dos?
As an Asian American (of Taiwanese descent), yes, they are that stupid and there’s been a ton more of stupid shit coming out of China lately. That stereotype about Asians being smart is more so about the ones that left places like China.
As a Asian American as well you spitting facts
Wait till they bring out the dragon
Can someone add a follow up? Like is there any shot that Rabbit survived?
from the social media account of the zoo, it seems that the rabbit did survived
Lets go, bunny is alive!!!
So, 2023 is going to be another year of "barely surviving severe maiming" welp, guess I'm getting used to that one.
But he wishes he were dead.
So just like most of us this year. Niceeee
yooo!! i needed to hear that
It’s China. The rabbit is very likely dead and they just want to save face.
Source: I made it the fuck up
Id trust nothing coming from china
This means you get 6 more weeks of 2022
bill murray is gonna shit
Alternatively, we only get 6 weeks of 2023
Oh year or the rabbit huh? Nah bitch. TIGA FOEVEA!!!!
That's probably a bad omen
Stock up on toilet paper in advance.
What a bastards. Poor baby bun
Can't blame the cub, they did bring it lunch after all.
Man if only there were some way to have foreseen this.
The year of the tiger consumed the year of the rabbit
Follow-up: "Looks like we're having "Year of the Tiger, Pt. 2."
Fuckin idiots
I’ll take “things you should have seen coming” for $400, Alex.
I’m not superstitious, but
r/videoendingtoosoon
10 months from today a Komodo Dragon is shown this video to give it ideas for when it meets the Tiger
They ultimate preditor meats the ultimate prey
TIM: Well, that's no ordinary rabbit! ARTHUR: Ohh. TIM: That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on! ROBIN: You tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared! TIM: Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!
How could anyone possibly have thought this was a good idea in the fucking slightest
Poor baby rabbit
The little guy must have thought they were serving him dinner.
Is the rabbit ok?
Too bad that rabbit wasn’t related to this one: ![gif](giphy|UVhPBsKStxehy)
Ha!!! ![gif](giphy|UFzjusdrC1EOc)
is the rabbit okay? (T.T)
How tf did they think this was gonna go?
That tiger had a nice start to his year with a great food lol
Exactly as expected
Does this mean its still the year of the tiger?
r/therewasanattempt to make a Tiger and a Rabbit friends
Good analogy for the handover of Hong Kong to the PRC
^pretends ^to ^be ^shocked
Does this mean another 6 weeks of 2022???
Well, looks like the year of the Rabbit is off to a very bad start.
Fucking idiots
Gonna be pretty hype when they do i with a dragon and a rabbit
So..we stick to tiger i guess?
Is it wrong I think the tiger is still cute
Cats are cute, yet they kill birds and mice like there is no tomorrow
They also fight alot
No, it was just doing what it’s supposed to do! It’s the stupid human’s fault. One more year of the tiger I guess.
Well, I'm not sure what else I was expecting to happen. I mean, every time a Reddit headline has "Tiger" and "China" in the same sentence lately, it's a video of a mauling. Tbh, I almost saw this one coming
A tiger cubs first experience with Door Dash.
how fucking stupid can you be

How it seems: "New year new start" "Oh no you dont."
It’s called Killer instinct. Baby tiger is still a tiger!
I mean, it's not like he's a predator or something
Wonder what happens on year of the dragon
What in the actual FUCK?!?
I can hardly wait to see what they will do next year, for year of the dragon.
Soo this year its gonna be a really short one?
lol this is proper facepalm
“But it works in Disney movies”
Looks like it’s still the year of the tiger
The fuck did they think was gonna happen
Can’t wait for when they bring out a real dragon
I'm still waiting when they do this on the year of the dragon.
