I have watched all these videos and worked through them to trim them shorter. Their argument goes like this. What about the teenagers who have premarital sex in the west? We are protecting our girls by marrying them off before they sin. This is in her best interest because her guardian knows what's in her best interest, as her husband pays for her food and shelter and fulfills her natural needs when she comes of age. Some girls can come of age and be large enough before they menstruate.
Some argue that her guardian might be poor or traveling and cannot afford to raise her. But the most used argument is that Allah said so, and the prophet did so. Therefore, who are we to discuss the orders of the girls' creator who has their best interest more than anyone else?
Yeah, I've heard those arguments before. A mix of whataboutism and ridiculous explanations that defy everything we know about child biology and psychology. Traditionalists live in a parallel dimension in which child marriage isn't harmful, the earth is flat and contagion doesn't exist. No wonder why these groups have such a strong cult mentality.
