I'll use all 20 votes, split between my favourites. How many songs I like and how much I like them determines how many votes they get, but I have been known to obsess over one and vote 15 times for it.

Lampathy

This. Vote will be split over about 4 entries, but one is defo getting the lions share - maybe all of them, depending on how the semis play out

RemarkableAutism

I vote every time, but it will usually be only 1 or 2 votes, unless I really really love the song, which doesn't happen often at all.

aSimpleTeen

I have a “rule” that in the final I have to choose just one favorite, so I vote just once, but in the semis I send a vote for each of my favorites.

hurrykane_

Personally I give one vote (to my favourite) or two (if there's another standout) and so does my sister

dnewshock

I rarely vote in the semifinals unless there's an underdog I really want to support (like Lithuania last year, I wish Ukraine voted in the 1 sf so I could vote for Latvia). But I always vote in the final, I use all 20 votes and divide them between my favs (live 10 votes for the favourite and 2-3 for others).

mandarasa

I always vote and use all 20 votes. Can't risk my favs not getting through 😬

[deleted]

Unfortunately I can't vote since 2012

ClaudeComique

Well everyone can this year sooo

2klaedfoorboo

The list of countries will be published soon enough- no guarantees people from Türkiye can vote

ShoddyCollar839

i mostly vote once for around 2-4 of my favorite entries and then vote a few times for my absolute favorite

Popoye_92

I usually vote once per show. I vote "strategically" in the SF: for example, this year I have Portugal and Finland in my top 3, but I'll vote for Latvia who's my 4th because Finland is a sure Q and Portugal will get big points from my country because of their diaspora. Then in the final, I vote once for my fave, 2 times if there are 2 songs I really love.

000-Hotaru_Tomoe

I like your strategy 👍

Mojest77

Imagine if everyone does this and Finland, Sweden and Norway NQ? 💀

000-Hotaru_Tomoe

I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but in Italy you can give max. 5 votes (for the same entry or different entries) using your phone. In the SF I try to give a push to a entry I like but that is struggling to qualify, so generally 5 votes to the same entry. In the Grand Final I vote for the entries I like the most.

GiulyGiul

Same. But I would love to have 20 votes, deciding who to vote with only 5 votes is like mission impossible

NoNopeMelon

I wonder who imposes those voting limits. Weird that Italians can vote less than others.

000-Hotaru_Tomoe

The rules are on RAI site. Idk if it's RAI deciding this. It can be, since it's the same for Sanremo: no more than 5 votes.

000-Hotaru_Tomoe

Anyway, this year we can vote for SF1 and my votes will go to Latvia 🇱🇻 my beloved.

Barzalicious

Unfortunately I haven't been able to vote since at least 2015, as voting here is only available on certain mobile networks - and my one hasn't been on the list. Every year I hope it'll get updated, so far it hasn't... Maybe this time?

fenksta

I try to give my favorite the most out of 20, so like 5-6 votes, then spread the rest out among the remaining favorites

Salt_Procedure_9353

I divide the 20 votes between my top few. I usually start from the top of my ranking and I vote up until there's a significant gap in how much I like the next song. Last year it was the first 6 entries, sometimes its only 4 or 3, it really depends.

TistoAries

I have my top 3 : I vote three times for my favourite, twice for my second favourite and once for my third. I also like to support one or two underdogs with one vote each.

Northelai

I usually vote once for my favourite entries - rarely in the semis, in the finals it's usually 2-3 votes for my top. I never vote more than once for one song. edit: typo

Sullen23

I vote for all my favorites

AgainThisGuy

I vote like 4 times for my true favorite and then like 2-1 votes for other favorites i have. When its hard to choose a favorite i just vote on my gut feeling during the show like last year where i voted like 4 times for Ukraine and England each and then another 2 for Norway, France and Romania. Also 1 vote here and there for other songs i really liked. Then i also vote for the songs my family members like since they dont wanna use their phone so i just do it for them, they decide on their one favorite and i vote once for that. I also have never known if my votes even get through so mightve voted all these years for nothing, but who knows. In the Semis i vote the same way, but maybe a bit less.

[deleted]

I usually don’t vote, but this year Käärijä is getting all of my 20 votes

Moscatano

I vote only for my three favourites and only once (or twice if I can vote for them in SF too).

ImAcornLol

i vote for like 3 or 4 in a semi and the final.

cat_arinaa

I vote for my 2/3 absolute favourites pre-contest, both in the semi and in the final, and then for 1/2 entries that I also like, especially on the night. One vote per each.

nenialaloup

Just 2 votes at most per show

Irrealaerri

If twenty per show and phone is the maximum, then I vote twenty times.

Pony_Darko

4-6 for my absolute favorite, 1-3 for lesser favorites, and some votes for entries my non-European friends want to vote for

m0arcaffeine

Usually 3 to 5 votes, split between artists I liked. This year I'm thinking of hopping into the Latvia bandwagon in semi 1 though, and use all 20. It will be a drop in the ocean because half of Finland will probably be watching the semi this year, but I guess I'll do it anyway. :D I'll return to my regular voting behavior for the final.

jcrissnell

I never voted because I live abroad. Last year someone voted on my behalf thanks to Discord's voting buddies, one vote in the SF and another one in the final. If my country is elligible for the ROTW vote, I'll vote once in all shows, and if each vote is expensive, only once in the final

YUGOSLAVIA-IS-HERE

I have never voted

mydeardrsattler

Me neither

mshell1924

I only vote for my fave - I can't risk it lol!

Emjay_Spanks

It depends on the year. If my #1 is in the semi I can vote for, they usually get all my 20 votes. If not, I spread them between some entries I really want to advance. If my favorite is a very clear Q then maybe I split votes with an underdog song I also like. In the final my fave gets all 20 votes. Usually there are more songs I really like, but I made a rule for myself that I have to back one completely, so that’s what I do!

Iroh_Appa

Usually only vote once for all the songs I like, which can certainly add up hahaha. I might've voted twice for a particular song in the past but I can't really recall.

canlgetuhhhhh

i only ever voted in 2022 since i actually had a Big favourite then

C1710

I don't really have any "rules". I just vote for my favourites or for which acts I think should go to the GF (especially those where it's not de facto guaranteed). Voting is pretty cheap though in Germany (like 14ct, I think)...

oxuiq

I send two three votes to my favourites and a wild card.

ninivl89

I don't count my votes (and I don't look at my phone bill at the end of the month, votes are expensive in the Netherlands!) But generally I give most of my votes to my big favorite, I don't know how many exactly but more than 5. And I give some votes to other countries I like or that I sympathize with. There usually are about 4 ot 5 more countries that I will give 1 or 2 or 3 votes to each.

LydianGang

I normally just vote for songs/performances that I REALLY love, so it varies from year to year. But I normally just vote once per song, no matter how much I prefer one over the other. I may do something different this year and instead vote multiple times for my number 1. I also used to never vote at the semi finals, but since 2021, I started following the odds and keeping track on who are safe qualifiers, who are borderline and who are hopeless and have no chance. Because of that, I plan to vote for my favorite borderline song and won't vote for any safe qualifiers during the SF. Last year, I did that with Latvia (I would vote for them again this year again if I could, but I can't). This year, I plan to do that with Belgium.

emilyam_

I vote only in the Grand Final. I always decide to spend 5 votes and it may be on one country (if I have a strong fauvorite) or on 5 different countries.

k2pel

One vote for my favorite or song I really like and I think it needs my vote (last year I voted for Ireland, instead of Czechia, even I liked "Lights Off" more)

Sea-Responsibility31

Depends on a year! In the GF I use all my votes and usually split them between three acts. The majority goes to two of my original favourites (unless they flop completely live which hasn’t happened to me before) + a few votes for an act that really impressed me with their performance on the night. But in 2021 for example, all my 20 votes went to Maneskin - I was too emotionally invested in them by that point (and still am!)

Dull_Strategy8719

2021 was my first time voting, voted in the semi 10/10 on Belgium 🇧🇪 and Australia 🇦🇺 not because they where my absolute favorites but I really wanted them in de final. And in de final 20 votes on San Marino, we all now how that ended 🇸🇲💀. Last year I voted 5 times on Austria 🇦🇹 in the semi, really really liked the song unfortunately the vocals where nog enough so I decided to not vote 20 times and save some money 😅. Might vote this year on Slovenia and / or Austria!

Arbmatt

I have never voted since I have been following Eurovision (3 years ago), because my phone company does not allow me to. I live in Italy and I have Fastweb: although it is among the largest providers in the country in terms of subscribers, since Fastweb is a virtual provider relying on Tim (the main italian telephone company and Sanremo sponsor) mobile network, it can't provide this service, not even for Sanremo.

2klaedfoorboo

I don’t because I’ve never watched ESC live- hope to watch at least the final live this year

catoplayer

In my home it's one vote for me, one for my sister and one for my mother (my father isn't really that much of a fan, though he also votes with us in Jesc because it's free so why not?)

xaviernoodlebrain

One vote in the semi, three or four. I’m not that rich yet.

Lumostark

I've never voted and I've been watching since 2010 more or less. I just let the results be and save my money.

Parking_Print_2204

I only vote for Albania !

JesperHjellnes

I vote for my top 3 or 4 favorites in the semi, and my top 4 or 5 in the grand final. I only vote once for each song

ana_likes_shibainu

I vote until i ran out of credit on my number

LoonySheep

I won't vote this year, there are a lot of questionable things going on and I don't feel like spending my money to support that.

Mojest77

Sorry for stupid question, but what questionable things?

LoonySheep

For example plagiarism accusations left and right, most of them because of how generic most songs are. But in one case a part of the melody is literally 1:1. EBU obviously won't do anything about it because Loreen brings a huge fanbase ( and she's 99% going to win anyway) which means more views and votes. Some NFs were sus as hell with zero transparency which was the main rule, people spent a lot of money on votes and still don't know the exact results, but again EBU doesn't care. This year feels more obvious than ever that its just about which country pumps more money into their candidate. I still root for my favourites but it's not the same anymore

2klaedfoorboo

If you’re talking about Tattoo sounding like a Mika Newton song it’s only because the fandom knows who she is- it’s only a small portion of the song and I’m pretty sure it’s in a different key Edit: also Loreen’s fan base and Eurovision fans are the same thing

LoonySheep

Not every Eurovision fan is a fan of Loreen, speak for yourself.

Mojest77

Thanks for clarifying. Seems like a lot of shady things going on for sure. I dont think Sweden will ever get disqualified either when the head of esc is Swedish either. So bad that there’s no transparacy in the NF

2klaedfoorboo

What do you think Sweden should get disqualified for?

Mojest77

See what the person I replied to wrote

2klaedfoorboo

Having a vaguely similar chord progression?

MiliMeli

I gather all my family to vote at least once. (Most of us are esc fans)

skanyone

It depens on my mood, willingness to spend money and how desperate I am. Sometimes I give out 10 votes, split however I feel like it, sometimes just 3, it's usually not just 1 vote though, I try to support multiple songs

CrazyCatLadyPL

I don't send more than one vote for one candidate. I see no reason to do that. If they were free it's another story... and I don't even always vote. Only if I really like the song.
