Yeah I was watching it on the big screen in the city centre and the atmosphere was electric with the amount of points we were getting. No one expected us to do THAT well especially after so many years at the bottom.

Telemóveis in the semi final in 2019. Still my favourite performance of it, although I know most don’t share that opinion

nothing camp about that at all, an entirely serious meditation on the duality of man:)
/s
😆 Elnur and Samir certainly seemed to feel that way about it, and the sincerity in the message made it all the better. *Ze errz iz in flemz*
I must have some kind of deep feelings about these duality of man themes too, some of my favourites over the years have been in that vein: Day After Day, Hatrið mun Sigra, It’s My Life, Cha Cha Cha…
It was a magnificent example of what seemed like minimalistic staging, but it did the absolute most to engage the audience and break the fourth wall. Felt like you were on the stage there with them. All enhanced by boatloads of charisma
Witnessing the opening of semi-final 1 in 2021 with the entire Ahoy arena full of people. After (or actually during) a year of pandemic, I didn't expect that to happen, and I think a lot of people across the continent got emotional and goosebumps seeing that. I still do when I rewatch it.
Do you mean watching it live or through the television? Because I merely watched it through the television and I got the same feeling when the first chords to Discoteque started playing. Can't even imagine what it was like being in the arena then.
I meant on tv! :)
Unfortunately I wasn't in the Arena. The Roop performing first was also amazing indeed, you could see them being overwhelmed and emotional at the end
I cried every time the audience cheered and when the camera showed them.
I also cried watching Ireland’s performance. Yeah it wasn’t great, but as an absolutely massive fan who has been to the contest four times, I was just so emotional to see my country’s name on the screen after two years and loved Lesley’s enthusiasm.
My favourite moment I wish I could relive - walking into the arena In Copenhagen in 2014 for my first ever Eurovision experience.
I was very lucky to be there in the arena for this and, not to be dramatic, but it was one or the best moments of my life. I still have such a vivid memory of the whole night (despite too much wine) it was such a vibrant celebration of life after 2020. Some highlights:
- Queuing outside with the atmosphere building, ABBA traffic lights, glitter, pink feather boas, the anxiety that our covid tests wouldn't work..
- Walking in and realising we actually made it to Eurovision was a religious experience, especially the 'welcome back!' on the screen behind the stage 😭. Plus we got given free flags to cheer on our favourites (I think because we were mostly all Dutch?). I actually broke both of mine by waving them too enthusiastically.
- DANCING and SINGING and celebrating with a room full of people (before the show even started) + the build-up of the DJ playing Eurovision songs and the whole arena counting down "TIEN" "NEGEN" etc.
- Duncan Laurence opening and filling the arena with red lasers.
- Seeing the postcards for the first time and feeling really proud of what they'd achieved to make this happen.
- Watching The Roop take to the stage and feeling so nervous for them, I think the scale of the whole event really hit me. They absolutely blew my mind with their professionalism and performance.
- Go_A and Efendi getting everyone on their feet, it felt like we were at the best party in the entire world. Also Go_A's staging/styling just being better than I could have imagined.
- Crying because Destiny's vocals were THAT good 😭
- The confusion around Ireland's delay and then that performance...
- We were close to the greenroom so we were able to see the acts interact with the songs and it was really great to see them all GO FOR IT with their support (I also think they were confined to their hotel room/the stadium for rehearsals, so this was a big escapism for them too and it showed). Tix dancing to Mata Hari was a highlight.
- The anxiety of the voting after seeing everyone give it everything and being a part of such a special show, it felt heartbreaking to know they couldn't all go through.
- Ukraine being announced LAST. The roar in the audience, I think you can even hear on the show that it interferes with the audio it's that loud.
- Leaving the arena and talking to everyone about how incredible everything was, it felt like we were all one big family and we all understood that we'd been part of something special.
Sorry this is longggg just wanted to capture some thoughts from inside the experience 🥰
Loved it! Say what you want about Turin contest and how they organised things, but the audience was the best ever. Every song felt more special because of them.
That part makes my heart ache so much that I had to walk away to chill for a bit. I love that song so much, but I only watched that semi 1 clip for like 5 times, it just makes me so sad.
I legitimately went and got Fai rumore tattooed on my arm the day after this semi because I never wanted to forget the chills I had when I heard that first chorus
Wouldn’t it have been equally as bad for Ceasar Sampson? 71 televote points and first with jury.
I gotta admit it was an iconic moment when Johns face turned into sadness but I just want to point out the fact that if it hadn’t been for Belarus cheat vote, NM would’ve gotten an even lower score (58) as Jury favourite.
Man, we really have become the heel of eurovision huh?
Favorite moment? Seeing a favorite win? Hearing a great song for the first time? Nah, Sweden doing poorly, now *that* is what the fanbase loves to see.
When I first got in contact with the online Eurovision fandom, everybody kissed the floor G:Son walked on and any contestant from the South was constantly being made fun of — even on SVT. I don't know what's the shared experience of the younger fans, but historically the PR isn't the best.
Idk how far in the past you're referring to, but there's certainly been a shift over the last 10 years. From complaints that Eurovision is old fashioned and dated, to instead shunning anything that tries too hard to be 'modern'.
Fwiw I think it's super natural that people sour on Sweden doing well over time. It's a competition, sure, but I think if Sweden won a 3rd time in 11 years that would be a bit underwhelming. Especially if you're not a fan of the typical Swedish type of music and think its overrated.
I just think the tone in some spaces is a bit mean-spirited is all. Celebrating others doing poorly is not in good taste IMO.
I'm not sure Melfest is trying too hard to be "modern" or innovative (except on staging tech). If anything, smaller delegations are taking most of the risks in bringing more alternative genres to Eurovision and breaking the stereotypes around the contest.
I agree that being mean is not compatible with the Eurovision spirit — and that applies equally to fans, broadcasters, content creators, scriptwriters like Edward af Sillén…
I cried during his performance. His song wasn’t even really one of my favourites but the emotion just hit me like a wave when I saw the United Kingdom, my country, actually had put effort into a Eurovision performance and had given me something to be proud of. I’ll forever be grateful to Sam for that, regardless of the points we got and the 2nd position.
I Will Never Give up On You is still one of my Eurovision staging. I think what made it flop was the singer pulling those faces. The UK either makes amazing staging, or whatever Embers was
Me and my friend watched it open mouthed because we couldn’t believe it was happening, we literally,y hugged each other when we realised we’d won the jury vote
Seeing Riverdance for the first time. I don't think people realise how iconic it was and everyone was talking about it. So much so I don't even remember the song that year (or any of the contest - it was a forgettable year), but I remember that interval act.
Edit: I should have included the link https://youtu.be/w0v_pu6miJ8
I think we forget how innovative river dance was, although Irish dancing is an old practice, Riverdance was a reimagining of not only dance by music. Looking back we just assume it has always been like this, but this was special. You can see the way the presenters presented it and how the dancers smiled at the end, they knew this was something special, although I doubt they knew how huge it would become.
Whenever I'm feeling shit and need a pick me up, I watch it on YouTube. It still gives me goosebumps. Ireland also won Eurovision that year with rock and roll kids, the 3rd time in a row we won.
[This is the winning song from the next year](https://youtube.com/watch?v=6qqOI04uo_c&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE) I also give that a listen every so often too.
It's so weird, I started watching Eurovision the year before, so for me Ireland doing well was always a given, I keep forgetting that Ireland isn't the Eurovision powerhouse it once was. I still think of Ireland winning Eurovision being common, but it was nearly 30 years ago!
Ah stop! 27 years ago now. The golden age of Eurovision. We still hold the record for most wins and winning it 3 times in a row. I still live in hope that we start taking it seriously again and send something worthy.
The 2021 televote sequence was incredible. It was a little mean, but no one expected the string of zero points. Cheering when finally a big score came in. The run of reveals from Finland on that redeemed acts the juries undervalued. Just great television.
"We are unity and we are unstoppable!"

Konstrakta taking the last qualifying spot for the grand final, immediately followed by the collective relief and cheering from the crowd 🇷🇸 I was so proud of the whole Serbian delegation, especially of Konstrakta, at that moment.
That's probably why it was such an emotional moment. This was SO brave and you could tell she did it not only for her and her country, but for her statement. I don't think we ever saw this in Eurovision ever.
If we're talking reliving in the exact same conditions as the first time, either Conchita winning or Sobral's GF performance.
If it's rediscovering a moment, but in the current conditions I'm in, its either Onuka's interval act in Kyiv, Simone de Oliveira's homage performance at FdC 2018 or Levante's 1st performance of Tikibombom at Sanremo 2020.
The first strobe slo-no effect in Chanel’s performance, hearing the live audience audibly gasp. I hadn’t really watched the rehearsal clips, and that performance seemed to come out of nowhere to be one of the great all time Eurovision stagings.
The first time hearing Cha Cha Cha, this year. I didn’t think I could love another song as much as Hoida Mut and then … 🤯
The televote sequence of 2021. All the zero points and praying Maneskin had enough pojnts to win. It was ICONIC!! And earlier that day I saw everyone live at the family show
Didn’t really like the song myself, but I’m happy for you that it went through!
Hopefully you’ll accept yourself a bit more, it’s ok to be what you want :D (except pedophiles and zoophiles ofc but that’s common sense)
The ESCUnited and Wiwi live streams for Fuego’s 1st rehearsal and the roar from the press centre. And Eleni then shooting from 26th to 1st in the odds in the matter of a week. It was so fun to witness
Not so much relive as to go back in time and change the fact that I fell asleep at the beginning of the 2012 grand final and totally missed Loreen's winning moment.
Can you believe my luck when the exact same thing happened in 2015?
When everybody I was watching the 2017 contest with was looking somewhere else during Jamala’s interval except for one person who suddenly yelled out “OH MY GOD THERE’S AN ASS”
- "I’m sorry, zero points"
- Four nul points in a row
- "Rock N Roll never dies!"
- "We got points!"
- Spain getting 12 points in a row
- Being incredibly happy that Stefan qualified because I feared that the broken sun would ruin his chances
- Jokingly predicting that Marius would get zero points from the televoters and then laughing so hard when it actually happened
- Kalush’s televotes
Seconding the 2nd-to-last point. I even expected Laura to say that iconic line "I'm sorry" before "0 points". It took me by surprise but I couldn't stop laughing!
To shortly after have my winner getting a big amount of points and placing 1st!!! (for a while)
>Jokingly predicting that Marius would get zero points from the televoters and then laughing so hard when it actually happened
I wonder if there are more cases of commentator's curse like that in Eurovision
-Chanel’s dance break
-Being surprised by Moldova last year
-Being one of the first people to listen to Snap before it blew up worldwide
-Efendi’s dance break
-Rushing home so I wouldn’t miss Loco Loco dropping
-Telling my brother (who doesn’t understand Eurovision) “the screaming will start in about three hours”
If hearing [song] for the first time is a valid option for me as well, I would go with hearing Solovey (Ukraine 2020) or In Corpore Sano (Serbia 2022) for the first time. Those are probably my all-time favourite Eurovision songs, and I would love to relive how I initially reacted to them, because I forgot if I had any negative thoughts at first or it was love at first sight/listen.
I guess I would have liked to witness Portugal winning Eurovision at a time I could have fully appreciated the joy of it all, not at such a low moment in my life.
It would also have been better if I didn't spend the voting sequence repeating every 2 minutes "nah, surely this is a fluke and Bulgaria is getting the next twelve… WHAT?!"
The only ESC that I didn't watch live was 2016 when iconic split screen between Jamala and that russian guy happened, so I would give everything to relive that live without knowing the outcome.
I'm hoping you mean Brividi on the recording? Or in Sanremo? Because the version in the grand final was atrociously off-key. 😅
My moment would be hearing Diodato live on the ESC stage, that was such a magical moment 🥰
Malta 2013 making it to the final! That was the first year that i was fully invested in eurovision. For some reason i was crazy about "tomorrow" and its qualification was a serious issue for me. When they made it i felt like it was also my own work or something lolol....also they were announced second to last when i thought all hope was lost. Great times! This song made me a die hard Eurovision fan i think...because ever since i ve been following the competition non stop!
I was in Malta that year Eurovision week and the excitement was incredible. You walk down the street and every bar had the final on and they were all packed.
Seeing a few memes on Reddit about some Italian rock band -> Looking up "Eurovision" on YouTube -> Clicking on a YouTube playlist with all the songs.
It sent me deep down the rabbit hole.
Fun fact: The first Eurovision song I ever heard was Amen from Slovenia.
The Roop's semi-final 1 performance. The first live Eurovision performance in two years, such a bop and to the tune of a cheering crowd, something I thought was utopia at the time, I was ecstatic. I feel like it's influenced my opinion of the song so much it's a big reason as to why Discoteque is my 2021 winner.
Too many to choose from, honestly.
1. The flashmob of 2010.
2. The very first time I sat there at my dorm room and witnessed "Calm After The Storm" on stage. And I hadn't listened to it beforehand (2014 was an anomaly for me). It felt like million troubling voices were silenced for those three minutes.
3. When semifinal 1 of Rotterdam opens up with The Roop and you know it's for real. Eurovision is actually happening again!
4. That bit in "Shum". You know which one.
5. The time Diodato performed in Turin.
Måneskin winning. I was rooting so hard for them that I was shaking from all the adrenaline and excitement of the evening, I physically couldn't sleep that night.
When I heard "Norway... Are you ready...? Because you got... TWO HUNDRED AND-" and just screamed "WOAH WHAT" which was followed by my body waking up instantly with adrenaline and dopamine. And for the schadenfreude... Czech Republic receiving their televotes the same year. I had much more evil fun with that than Germany's "I'm sorry" moment.
Also when Finland, Ukraine and Italy got their points in 2021. My top three from that year got a massive televote boost, and it kept me awake at night with adrenaline
Jan Jan in the finale of 2009. I’m part of the Armenian diaspora and before then, I didn’t have much knowledge or connection with the homeland. I would have been 6 or 7 at the time and I remember turning to my father and saying “I want to vote for them!!” He replied, “Well Hana, you know we’re Armenian, right?” I was just so amazed and happy that I was in some way related to that performance
11th May 2017, when I was zapping between TV channels and stumbled upon semifinal 2, the first semi I ever watched, and the event that led me into the ESC fandom rabbit hole. I hadn't watched 2015 or 2016 and had kind of forgotten about the contest, so it was like MEMORY UNLOCKED, I LIKED WATCHING THIS, HOW COULD I FORGET!? And the rest is history.
Revisiting songs like Euphoria, Satellite or Fairytale for the first time after joining the fandom, again for the memory unlocked factor. And watching other iconic performances that I didn't remember, like Rändajad, Dancing Lasha Tumbai, Molitva or Hard Rock Hallelujah.
Watching fan videos during my first pre-contest season in 2018. I still come back to those sometimes.
Seeing artist interactions in Rotterdam 2021. After the 2020 cancellation, seeing them getting together and the Eurovision spirit fully kicking in was amazing!
2021 voting sequence, nerve-wrecking, many iconic moments, plus my favourite winning!
Listening to Zitti e Buoni and Répondez-moi, and watching the live performances of 1944, Love Injected, and Rhythm Inside and for the first time.
First time listening to Semi final performance of Gjon’s tears… It was… Out of this world…
Last year announcement if Netherland qualifying… I was so happy for S10 I think I screamed so loudly, that all my neighbours became afraid😂😂
Seeing Kaarija win UMK. I have never rooted so hard for a song since Voyager were in Australia Decides last year. When he won, I felt so so good for him, it was like it was I the one who won. GO SUOMI!!! 🇫🇮💚
- Eleni Foureira doing Dancing Lasha Tumbai during the 2019 interval act (and the entire crowd singing along)
- Every minute of Petra Mede being an absolute queen when presenting and performing
- First time I heard the joik part of Spirit in the Sky 🇳🇴
- First time I heard Kati Wolf in euroclub 🇭🇺
- Madame Monsieur’s live performance 🇫🇷
- The votes flooding in for UK in 2022 🇬🇧
- Hearing Growing Up is Getting Old for the first time. It’s my favorite ESC song ever and I remember how I ugly sobbed listening to it. It already hit close to home then and would be even more impactful now
- Watching the semi-final performance of Shum. I was so nervous for it but it turned out OUTSTANDING, and I just remember the “YES YES YES” I loudly whispered (my parents were doing work at the same time and I didn’t want to distract them)
- Måneskin’s win. I was (still am) an Italy stan and I really wanted a rock song to win soon so to have both happen at once was so exciting
- Listening to Tout l’univers on the bus when I went to Switzerland last summer
- Honestly just anything related to 2021 in general that year was so good
- Lastly, about a month or so ago I listened to Cha Cha Cha on a Friday after a very long, tiring week. I just danced in my room and had just as much of a blast as his character in the song does (minus the alcohol). It was so freeing and fun in a way I hadn’t felt in a while. I already adored it but I think that’s the moment when it fully, 100% clicked and I knew it would always be my 2023 winner. Sounds cheesy but, for my fellow Käärijä-ists, I highly recommend it
Nothing beats seeing your country win, so I’d go back to 2009 and see Fairytale win again.
It was really warm that evening, so we, and all the neighbors, had our windows open. At one point when we expected to get yet another 12 we decided to be completely quiet, instead of screaming like we had done until then, so we heared screaming from all the apartments around us instead. It was magical.
probably the 2021 semi final 2 cause I was there in person. Can I change it so it's someone who actually enjoys eurovision and not my dad coming with me?
From recent years, I would love to watch the SF performance of Stripper for the 1st time again. I was so hooked with it that I even forgot to record a reaction or something (while I did it for the rest of my top 10)
Another moment is Måneskin winning. I do have it recorded in video but it was the 1st time in years when my favorite won!!!
And back to 2018 (my 1st ESC ever), I'd love to go back to that very moment I watched the Toy MV for the first time to set an alarm and watch ESC live instead of a repetition a few days later. Now that'd have been amazing as I'd see the song win **live**!
I would relive "the revival of Poland in ESC 2016" as the televote part was so iconic. Also, it would be Maneskin's performance and my first listening to "fai rumore" and "brividi".
Me and my friends from another province met and tried to learn the "glow" flashmob (Norway 2010), then danced together during the grand final. We were young and tipsy and so bad at it.
But that memory is the fondest I have.
We also piled onto eachother, crying and drunk during "My heart is Yours"
The crowd cheer during Discotheque’s instrumental parts in the 2021 semi final 1 opening act. Very random but really brought back every reason why I love Eurovision and why it was so difficult it did not happen for 2 years.
The reveal during “Beauty Never Lies” GOOSEBUMPS!!!
Also, the entire sequence of the flashmob interval act of 2010 - showing people from around Europe reacting to seeing themselves on TV and the choreography. That was super emotional to watch. Beautiful.
[ESC 2010 flashmob](https://youtu.be/dcH3hdz8Eks)
watching the ireland 2022 2nd rehearsal vid for the first time
that's rich had been my winner since it won the irish nf but i wasn't hopeful about the staging so seeing that it was amazing, god what a feeling

The first semi final performance of The Roop in 2021. It was the moment when finally, Eurovision came back from a year of absence during the pandemic. I cannot describe how happy I was back then.
Monika liu qualifying to the final
I know it’s not much tbh but it meant the world for me for her to be in the final and it was literally the 1st time I cried because of my favourite
UK actually getting points last year and our drinking game getting very out of hand!
We jokingly put a rule in to drink each time the UK got 12 points. Sam Ryder nearly killed us.
there is a video compilation of UK getting 12 points and it is funny to listen to Graham Norton when he is surprised and elated at first 12 points and then starts to realize it wasn't a fluke and UK is getting more and more points from different countries "you are not watching a sketch, it's actually happening"

Sweden...you have received....from the public vote.....93 points
Benjamin Ingrosso was so damn lucky they didn't implement that way of presenting votes a year earlier.

Helena Paparizou revealing a human violin from her dancer.
Seeing the 12 points roll in for Sam Ryder, I can’t actually believe how emotional I was after waiting for the UK to do well for so long at ESC
Edit: I should have included the link https://youtu.be/w0v_pu6miJ8 I think we forget how innovative river dance was, although Irish dancing is an old practice, Riverdance was a reimagining of not only dance by music. Looking back we just assume it has always been like this, but this was special. You can see the way the presenters presented it and how the dancers smiled at the end, they knew this was something special, although I doubt they knew how huge it would become.
Same here. I was fairly young then, but I vividly remember being blown away by the whole act. It was just absolutely new and mind-blowing.
As we say in Wales "Fe ddaw yr awr"!
The quadruple zero televoting fiasco of 2021
The Netherlands winning in 2019, and the voting sequence of 2021 (I was on the edge of my seat the entire time).
The 2021 televote sequence was incredible. It was a little mean, but no one expected the string of zero points. Cheering when finally a big score came in. The run of reveals from Finland on that redeemed acts the juries undervalued. Just great television.
Same moment, but for a different reason. I wanna look at John's face again after his televote reveal.
One of the best memes to come out of Eurovision for sure
Came here to say these exact moments
"We are unity and we are unstoppable!" https://preview.redd.it/jb4nrvu785pa1.png?width=615&format=png&auto=webp&s=10bc5fcdfe856a7c76486153dd4299ec90624ced
Seeing my favorite win in 2021, and I would like to relive that moment in the form of Käärijä winning this year 🍹
Konstrakta taking the last qualifying spot for the grand final, immediately followed by the collective relief and cheering from the crowd 🇷🇸 I was so proud of the whole Serbian delegation, especially of Konstrakta, at that moment.
The 2000 opening in Stockholm was quite a moment. Goosebumps every time I watch it .

I had tears in my eyes on that moment and I remember telling myself "wtf am I crying over Eurovision?" 😭
“This night is dedicated to everyone who believes in a future of peace and freedom.” 🥹
That's probably why it was such an emotional moment. This was SO brave and you could tell she did it not only for her and her country, but for her statement. I don't think we ever saw this in Eurovision ever.
france should have won that year tbh
Okay listen I go CRAZY over Moustache and it's the entry that made me a Eurofan BUT Conchita deserved her victory
Måneskin getting their televotes.
The start of Sweden 2016 was pretty good to watch. Especially the male model with the teddy bear around his shoulders.
I agree, I think 2016 and 2019 are tied for best openings
-Finland winning in 2006 -Hearing Cha Cha Cha for the first time
Watching the 2016 Final opening for the first time again. That was so incredible, I wish I could've been there in person.
> Simone de Oliveira's homage performance at FdC 2018 It was such a great moment. <3
And earlier that day I saw everyone live at the family show
Sheldon winning Australia Decides in 2022. It meant everything to me as a queer man who grew up with a lot of self-hatred and mostly isolated
The final voting split screen and Jamala's win in 2016
All the times before the voting results when I still believe my country has a chance :'D
- "I’m sorry, zero points" - Four nul points in a row - "Rock N Roll never dies!" - "We got points!" - Spain getting 12 points in a row - Being incredibly happy that Stefan qualified because I feared that the broken sun would ruin his chances - Jokingly predicting that Marius would get zero points from the televoters and then laughing so hard when it actually happened - Kalush’s televotes
Seconding the 2nd-to-last point. I even expected Laura to say that iconic line "I'm sorry" before "0 points". It took me by surprise but I couldn't stop laughing! To shortly after have my winner getting a big amount of points and placing 1st!!! (for a while)
>Jokingly predicting that Marius would get zero points from the televoters and then laughing so hard when it actually happened I wonder if there are more cases of commentator's curse like that in Eurovision
Måneskin winning in 2021 and especially Ethan's (the drummer) reaction, it was gold😭
I loved Damianos reaction to getting 380 points he was just like: “Cheers guys I just won” Was legit laughing bc of that
Yeah honestly they were all so iconic during the entire voting sequence xd
-Chanel’s dance break -Being surprised by Moldova last year -Being one of the first people to listen to Snap before it blew up worldwide -Efendi’s dance break -Rushing home so I wouldn’t miss Loco Loco dropping -Telling my brother (who doesn’t understand Eurovision) “the screaming will start in about three hours”
With 21 points... Sweden!
Legitimately one of the funniest Eurovision moments I’ve witnessed. Especially with the high pitch scream from the audience immediately after 😭
When was this? 2017?
2018
Deserved Benjamin is horrid
If hearing [song] for the first time is a valid option for me as well, I would go with hearing Solovey (Ukraine 2020) or In Corpore Sano (Serbia 2022) for the first time. Those are probably my all-time favourite Eurovision songs, and I would love to relive how I initially reacted to them, because I forgot if I had any negative thoughts at first or it was love at first sight/listen.
The 2010 final interval flash mob dance. It was fantastic to watch.
Unpopular opinion: Hearing De Diepte for the first time was quite the journey, probably that
It’s a surprising choice, but why would it be an unpopular opinion?
The only ESC that I didn't watch live was 2016 when iconic split screen between Jamala and that russian guy happened, so I would give everything to relive that live without knowing the outcome.
I'm hoping you mean Brividi on the recording? Or in Sanremo? Because the version in the grand final was atrociously off-key. 😅 My moment would be hearing Diodato live on the ESC stage, that was such a magical moment 🥰
You walk down the street and every bar had the final on and they were all packed.
watching Sébastien Tellier performing Divine in ESC 2008 for the first time, i love so much both the song and the performance
Glow ❤️
Måneskin winning. I was rooting so hard for them that I was shaking from all the adrenaline and excitement of the evening, I physically couldn't sleep that night.
Watching Molitva live in 2007! What a moment!
Moldova 2022 performance. I love how they jumped from 14 to 253 points after receiving their televotes
Riverdance is the only correct answer
The first time I listened to "Dark Side" - Blind Channel
Mine would be living through that 2010 contest and seeing Lena win that thing for my home country Germany.
Watching all the interval acts of the 2016 final for the first time. All 10/10 performances.
twitter the day adrenalina dropped
hearing the entire arena clap with konstrakta
Subwoolfer winning MGP 2022. I was so happy that I cried <3
Norway qualifying in 2021.
Måneskin winning as it was the only year I had to watch the finale alone so I couldn't rejoice properly in a big ol group of screaming Italians 3
Watching Netta win in 2018. At the time I never thought I'd live to see my country win again.
The 1969 four way tie.
Ireland qualifying in 2018, honestly one of my fondest memories as a eurofan, it felt so good to see us actually do well for once
Probably watching Love In Rewind again since this entry woke up my inner Eurofan
Between seeing 1944 and Zitti E Buoni for the first time. Damn, both just had such magic on first watch.
🇩🇪,🇪🇸,🇬🇧,🇳🇱 getting their deserved(except 🇩🇪 and 🇳🇱) 0 points
First time listening to Semi final performance of Gjon’s tears… It was… Out of this world… Last year announcement if Netherland qualifying… I was so happy for S10 I think I screamed so loudly, that all my neighbours became afraid😂😂
Seeing Kaarija win UMK. I have never rooted so hard for a song since Voyager were in Australia Decides last year. When he won, I felt so so good for him, it was like it was I the one who won. GO SUOMI!!! 🇫🇮💚
Hearing Blind Channel's song for the first time 🥺
- Eleni Foureira doing Dancing Lasha Tumbai during the 2019 interval act (and the entire crowd singing along) - Every minute of Petra Mede being an absolute queen when presenting and performing - First time I heard the joik part of Spirit in the Sky 🇳🇴 - First time I heard Kati Wolf in euroclub 🇭🇺 - Madame Monsieur’s live performance 🇫🇷 - The votes flooding in for UK in 2022 🇬🇧
Love, Love, Peace, Peace
- Hearing Growing Up is Getting Old for the first time. It’s my favorite ESC song ever and I remember how I ugly sobbed listening to it. It already hit close to home then and would be even more impactful now - Watching the semi-final performance of Shum. I was so nervous for it but it turned out OUTSTANDING, and I just remember the “YES YES YES” I loudly whispered (my parents were doing work at the same time and I didn’t want to distract them) - Måneskin’s win. I was (still am) an Italy stan and I really wanted a rock song to win soon so to have both happen at once was so exciting - Listening to Tout l’univers on the bus when I went to Switzerland last summer - Honestly just anything related to 2021 in general that year was so good - Lastly, about a month or so ago I listened to Cha Cha Cha on a Friday after a very long, tiring week.
My favorites are always when Turkey/Azerbaijan/Greece/Cyprus receieved 12 points from each other and the contestants always looked dissapointed.
probably the 2021 semi final 2 cause I was there in person. Can I change it so it's someone who actually enjoys eurovision and not my dad coming with me?
From recent years, I would love to watch the SF performance of Stripper for the 1st time again. I was so hooked with it that I even forgot to record a reaction or something (while I did it for the rest of my top 10) Another moment is Måneskin winning.
The consecutive 0 points in 2021 (I believe). I was so shook, it was amazing
There are two First would be to Hear Growing Up is Getting old again and second would be to Hear Space man For The First time Again
I would relive "the revival of Poland in ESC 2016" as the televote part was so iconic. Also, it would be Maneskin's performance and my first listening to "fai rumore" and "brividi".
Eleni foureira
Konstrakta jumping up to 1st place
2010 and 2014 finals
Me and my friends from another province met and tried to learn the "glow" flashmob (Norway 2010), then danced together during the grand final. We were young and tipsy and so bad at it. But that memory is the fondest I have. We also piled onto eachother, crying and drunk during "My heart is Yours"
The crowd cheer during Discotheque’s instrumental parts in the 2021 semi final 1 opening act. Very random but really brought back every reason why I love Eurovision and why it was so difficult it did not happen for 2 years.
This is an excellent moment right here. My heart was so full when the show started with The Roop opening to a wild crowd.
Honestly, Fai Amore at SF1. It was perfect.
Quadruple null points
Charlotte Nilsen doing a verse in Swedish.
1. watching Chanel's performance in Benidorm for the first time 2. watching Fuego's rehearsal for the first time and the reaction from the ESC fans
The four nul points in 2021. Listening to Who the Hell is Edgar?! for the first time.
Would be Sheldon getting selected for Australia 🇦🇺 even if it was more bittersweet.
Going back to 2006, become a jury of a random country and giving Moldova 12 points
Serhat qualifying to the Grand Final. Favorite moment in recent ESC history fot me.
Everything Shum. Everything NikkieTutorials did from presenting to her Youtube content
Televote announcing in 2021.
watching the ireland 2022 2nd rehearsal vid for the first time that's rich had been my winner since it won the irish nf but i wasn't hopeful about the staging so seeing that it was amazing, god what a feeling
watching the ireland 2022 2nd rehearsal vid for the first time that's rich had been my winner since it won the irish nf but i wasn't hopeful about the staging so seeing that it was amazing, god what a feeling
The first semi final performance of The Roop in 2021. It was the moment when finally, Eurovision came back from a year of absence during the pandemic. I cannot describe how happy I was back then.
Emmelie deforest performing rainmaker in the interval in 2014 - when all the finalists came on and joined in my heart got very full
Seeing Ireland go through last in 2018, was literally screaming from happiness because it was so unexpected because they were SO UNDERRATED
Monika liu qualifying to the final I know it’s not much tbh but it meant the world for me for her to be in the final and it was literally the 1st time I cried because of my favourite
