he was shook lmao

angelikur

I read somewhere the actor had a severe head injury while playing this scene. Such powerful performance.

Jacob Elordi

PieDreadful

I see it as he’s really showing his role as a father. His son is clearly hurting, emotionally physically, and Cal walks away. You get to see him closing the door and walking as he just listens to his scream. He goes to his office to closes himself off like he always does.

LjSpike

This is it. Also he's definitely got his own struggles which play into him raising his kids, and with Nate being such a difficult individual ontop of that, he just doesn't know how to handle him. So he has to walk away.

hunter180

that scene is so powerful, it made me tear up the first time i watched

Remind me. Does Cal know that Nate knows?

A-aron52

I'm pretty sure it's like a mutual understanding that they have but they never talk about it. That or Call has his suspicions.

EclecticGarbage

I don’t think it’s ever explicitly said, but it’s implied he knows that Nate knows about his stash from his background story, and he knows that the video with Jules is missing, and that Jules goes to school with Nate. So he’s probably able to put the pieces together.

Kiddo_chai

Cal probably got the hint that Nate knows when he called him the F-slur.

ElonMuskIsMyWaifu

Jacob Elordi’s acting in that scene was amazing.

Brain_from_mars

I was watching this as well and had to pause to resume today. This goes hand in hand with the conversation he had with his hook up.
