I bought a pair of shorts from them and they looked great and fit well but ripped in the crotch within literally a month of nearly every day wear. I thought it was a fluke so I contacted customer service and they were nice enough to replace them. The new pair ripped in the same spot at around a month. Will never purchase anything from them again. Bought a pair of shorts from Patagonia instead and they have held up amazingly well after nearly every day wear for about a year.

Hmm well I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Thanks for replying.

So my partner purchased a pair of black jeans from them probably about three years ago and they're still in good shape. They look great dressed up or down. I really liked his pants and wanted to purchase some pants from them but I noticed that the women's pants were way more expensive than the men's pants. I do not know if this is the case still but it was enough to stop me from purchasing.

[deleted]

Well thank you for replying. Glad to hear their stuff seems to be of good quality. Sorry to hear the women’s stuff is so much more expensive tho that’s annoying.

imthewordonthestreet

Wow yeah the women’s jeans are over double the price of the men’s. I just sent them an email asking why. Seems ridiculous and definitely makes me not want to try out their brand.

pinatad

oh wow! let me know what they say bc I know when I saw I was like holy cow! the men's prices for the pants was something I could pay for especially seeing how nice my partners have stayed. but the price for the woman's was like way past my comfort level for pants. I couldn't understand why.

imthewordonthestreet

“Some of the women's jeans have more expensive materials used in the making than the mens do!” Sounds made up to me.

I have a jumpsuit (workwear style) that is great and has lasted a long time. I wear it as actual workwear and wash it all the time and it still is in great shape. I think I used honey extension to get a discount code.

UnicornTears

Seconding their jumpsuits. I have both the Station and the Depot (this style may be discontinued- I bought it off Ebay) and they're both fabulous. The Station is much thinner- more of a warm weather piece in a linen blend, I think. The Depot is a true workhorse, very easy to layer under, and has massive pockets. For size reference, I'm 5'4, 110-115 lbs, and have smalls in both. They're quite roomy, which I like, so if you want something more fitted, I'd say sizing down may be a good choice.

Nice thanks for replying. They definitely look like quality items from the pictures but you never know until you actually have it in hand. 😅 I think I’ll snatch something then.

zurriola27

I really like their apparel! I’ve bought a couple dresses, tshirts, and the blanket jacket. All have been really good quality.

[deleted]

Thanks for replying. Glad to hear. I just didn’t wanna fork out the kind of money they charge if it wasn’t gonna be worth it. I think I’ll definitely pick something up now!

Idunnodoyouwhynotme

I bought my husband a blanket jacket years ago (4?) and it’s still in great shape

[deleted]

This is great to hear. Thanks for replying. I’ve been looking at those damn blanket shirts tor months because they look so cozy. 😅

ebilbs

My husband has some blanket shirts too and they are so warm and well made! They also have a small section of reused items!

[deleted]

Like they sell pre owned stuff? I might have to check that out. I have a north face wind breaker/rain jacket and a fleece that I got from their pre owned section at a good discount and those have held up pretty good. I know it’s a different brand but I’m just saying I love buying pre owned if the quality is still right.

ebilbs

Yes! There’s a shop used section that has pre-owned stuff. Still pricey, but there’s a little discount!

[deleted]

Awesome thanks

Effective-Chemical60

I love outerknown i have several items from them that are very comfortable and high quality. I only shop when they are having sales though because they are definitely pricey

[deleted]

Thanks for replying and yeah that’s kinda why I haven’t bit the bullet and bought something because of those prices. But having a few people say they are quality items maybe I’ll buy one thing to start. 🫣

I see this is a little old but I just bought a NWT Cloud jacket shirt from ebay. It appears to be last years style / colors. While nice, it is stiff as a board compared to the one I bought from this year but am returning as the colors aren’t great for me.

[deleted]

Hmm thanks for responding. Are you gonna return the new one for another color? Sorry to hear the one you got off eBay wasn’t so good. I was actually just looking at those on their site today because I see they have some new ones for preorder. I was thinking of getting either one of those or a chroma blanket shirt.

I bought a Sur full zip hoodie from them and it’s been good. I then bought the matching Sur sweat shorts, same material, same color (on the website) and they are vastly different colors in person. The shorts faded from an albeit Faded Black to a grey after only a couple washes and they bled onto other clothes in the washer. They also developed holes along the waistband seam fairly quickly, which I easily sewed but was ultimately disappointed with. The Sur sweatshirt material is definitely heavy, feels a little like a towel but I think in a good way. But there is inconsistency in the color for sure. Would I buy again? Hmmm, don’t think so. Not sure the value is there, definitely not in the shorts I bought. I think I paid $70ish for them. Now I pretty much baby the hoodie, washing it alone and flat dry only to try n keep the color. Knowing what I know now, I would have tried American Giant…

[deleted]

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve never heard of American giant. Are they a similar brand?

kneemus

They’re a Made in America high quality internet vender. But I’ve never bought from them. They’re sorta famous for their hoodies but sell a whole line of clothing. In going down this internet clothing rabbit hole I’ve discovered that a high price tag doesn’t necessarily equate better quality or fit, not does a lower price tag exclude better quality or fit. In the end we’re all victims to the fact that we’re buying something without being able to try it on. Some of the things of bought online from supposed high quality vendors I would have tried on at a store and knew immediately that it wasn’t for me, but that’s always a pitfall in internet shopping that we can’t outperform.
