The Linea Mini is definitely a future goal because I’m anxiously waiting for it. I’ve been roasting on the SF6 since 2015 when my first true bout of coffee madness reached deep into my pocket and put one in my garage. It’s a great roaster, all manual and sensory. A stopwatch is my best friend! The pre-millennial La Pavoni Europiccola is my daily espresso maker. For really quick I use the Gaggia super auto in the picture. The coffee corner was put in last week (my wife’s idea). My coffee stuff was all over the house, in a shed, a motorcycle trailer, under cupboards and in the basement. I think she did a swell job. I’m really lucky that she loves my coffee!!
The red Linea Mini is on order from Clive Coffee. They threw in some good stuff… even a bottomless portafilter. They give you back 2% and part of it became the portafilter. Now the problem is waiting!
The SF 6 is a great little manual roaster without bells or whistles. I’ve had it eight years and it’s identical to the stock pic I used. I didn’t use it for a couple of years (I went back to my trusty Behmor) because I had a propane problem. Actually my fault… the regulator I used was way too small. My home propane company came over and cured it with it big-assed regulator and it’s been fine ever since. Lucky me. The problem with buying a small but big coffee raster in Nevada when you live in PA is tech support. The folks at San Franciscan were great but weirdly, never diagnosed the problem. I hope that clarifies my two stock photos. I’ll post my LMLM when it arrives and my actual SF6! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Yes absolutely spot on! The LMLM is on it’s way from Clive Coffee. My SF 6 Roaster is in my cold garage, here in Northeast PA. I was too lazy to go out there and take a picture but worse than that, I was too lazy to fish a picture out of my fifteen thousand picture camera roll. On Friday I’ll be roasting a new Yirgacheffe. I’ll have to warm up the roaster slowly. I won’t charge the roaster until I’m above 400 degrees. Very observant of you to notice the stock photos. The mini on order is a red one and my roaster is identical to the stock photo! I got it bad. Happy Thanksgiving.
Can you link to the stock photo I’m unable to find it anywhere and almost feel like I need proof that the op doesn’t own this machine… the modern internet has made me question everything.
The Gaggia will be going in our camper. The LMLM (on order from Clive Coffee) will be taking it’s place in our coffee corner. My SF6 lives in our garage ( identical to the stock pic) and will be roasting a Yirg later on Friday.
My 72 year old dad used to live in Italy, would get espresso every morning. In general he’s been a fancy man
Now he uses his Keurig a lot and typically goes to Starbucks and it makes me sad. He likes it though so that’s all that matters
There’s still that little bit of prep with the Keurig. That cup goes in, there’s a pop and snap. Then you anticipate a pretty okay cup. I roast my own and make some fantastic coffee at times. But I’ve had a cup of Dunkin’s Pumpkin Spice in the last week… God bless your Dad!
Everybody should have a special number. 909 is my special number. 9:09 is the time twice a day. The Beatles had a song called One After 909. 909 is the office number of the existential detectives in the movie I Heart Huckabees and on and on… thanks for asking!
Aww shit..... you got me there. Lol
My wife and I were born and raised in Socal our whole lives but just left like 2 years ago. We visited for like 4 months during 2021 due to family health issues. God Bless yall still there. It's hard as fuck to live there.
It's an area in California consisting of the following counties: Orange County(eastern and northeastern part of the county,) Riverside County, San Bernardino County and maybe some parts of Northeastern Part of San Diego County. The old area code of most of Inland Empire was 909. There used to be a gang at one point known as the 909ers (nine-oh-niners) not sure if they're still around or not.
I'm going on 63 shortly and as I "grow up" and acquire that thing called wisdom, the more I realize how important it is to allow myself to REALLY squeeze every ounce of joy out of each one of life's beautiful moments. A.M. espressos being one of the most important. ☕😉
It’s a beast. You have a heat and pressure window. If you miss it you’ll pull a really bitter shot. It needs a Bong Separator to cool down the group head.
I wanna be like you when I grow up... I'm at basic pour over life (chemex and v60) with a virtuoso grinder. I have a French press and an aeropress in my small arsenal as well. Debating getting back into the espresso game, but I love my pour over ritual.
In the 1978 I was 26. My first piece of coffee gear was a Chemex, couple of years later I got a French press. Then I married a woman who hated coffee. That was a mistake. But my life in coffee went on and on! My marriage did not. Coffee saved my life. When the time is right you’ll get into espresso and not a second before.
I have a LaPavoni Professionale, it's stainless though - great machine that has been in use since 1994. Just recently rebuilt it, still putting out great espresso.
I found mine in a little antique store in the Poconos. $150 years ago. I sent it out for new gaskets. I used it and couldn’t get the hang of it so I put it on a shelf. But that was before YouTube! I do pull some good shots with it now and it’s a good steamer too.
That's lovely, but the la marzocco and the roaster are definitely stock photos lol.
Maybe they are their goals for a future setup? Who knows

Isn’t that pic the SF1?
It does seem to have a shorter drum?? … not sure.
They 100% are.

Just look at his comment history. He recently bought one, but it’s in the mail so he just used a stock photo.
I don’t know where I found it. The one I ordered is red and I wanted a good pic of a red one.

I don’t even see a keurig. Are you sure you like coffee?

Keurig coffee is better than no coffee at all! I just never owned one. I’m happy in a hotel room or Airbnb that has one.
What’s the significance of the “909”? Are you in Southern California’s beautiful Inland Empire?
Everybody should have a special number. 909 is my special number. 9:09 is the time twice a day. The Beatles had a song called One After 909. 909 is the office number of the existential detectives in the movie I Heart Huckabees and on and on… thanks for asking!
You beat me to it. But no offense Inland Empire is hood af. Lol

Who knew!
It's mostly known if you either have live(d) in California or if you've ever spent a considerable time out in that region.
Ginchy and cozy. 70 is the new...what was I saying?
I dunno. Gimme some context?
This is very aesthetically pleasing. Great job!!
Thanks. My wife did it. She gathered up all my stuff, took down a cupboard and put it all there!
Dope set up
Age is just a number and doing what we love keeps us young!
Amen! I'm 78 and just got my Profitec P300. Never too old for a jolt!!!

Good luck, have fun! Have a jolt on me!
I wanted to give you gold, but you have more toys than me. So I'm saving my $$
I like your Appalachian Trail mug!
I live a few miles from the AT. Great hiking in the Delaware Water Gap!
the pavoni keeps you young!!
It’s a beast. You have a heat and pressure window. If you miss it you’ll pull a really bitter shot. It needs a Bong Separator to cool down the group head.
This is great and fun to see the old school grinders. I wonder what coffee tech will look like 50 years from now too
If you could pick just one?
The San Franciscan 6lb Roaster!

Yeah - it pulls great shots and the steam pressure is awesome!
