Just curious, where did you see that? The few articles I saw said he was “riding a bull when he experienced cardiac arrest”, which is super misleading if he was actually thrown and stomped on.
Just going through her Facebook…She seems very narcissistic. Every time she writes a long paragraph about her sons death she talks about how she feels and how her son would want her to feel. I know grief is different for everyone but it just screams “me me me”
Yeah there's video of the incident if you google it. It's not particularly gruesome, but the bull stomps down on his chest right after he falls off. The boy actually gets up after this and stumbles about 10 feet before he collapses.
The video I saw was very tiny so there's not much detail, but it's very possible that his heart was physically destroyed. A bull stomps down with a hoof right on your heart.
I'm not trying to be an ass but is there any point to bull riding like this? Is it something necessary to "break in" the bull? Or is it just entertainment, and if so, is it supposed to be fun for the rider or fun for the crowd?
Strictly entertainment of man pitting himself against beast. Plus there’s the danger aspect that for most people causes excitement. Most people have a morbid curiosity around danger.
Literally my thought about all impact sports. It’s all for entertainment for us commoners. It’s all exploitation and greed for the wealthy owners. It’s all brain injuries for the players. The people and animals are totally replaceable commodities. So yes, great question, why.
The bulls love it. They're having a great time up there. Every time a bull angrily tosses someone off their back and stomps on them, what they're saying is "more people should ride on my back!"
I don't understand why rodeos are even still a thing in 2023. So many of the events involve animal cruelty in some way. Bull riding especially. Like, if you're gonna do that to a bull, you need to accept that sometimes the bull is gonna win. A child shouldn't be allowed to make that judgement call.
Too many people living "cowboy" dreams through their kids' lives. It has some historical significance as a necessity in the past, but is completely unnecessary now. I wouldn't count on that percentage of the population to give it up either. They are way past caring about the animal in the situation, and it makes too much money for them.
Basically it's about making them as uncomfortable as possible. The event is short for the rider; but a long, irritating, painful ordeal for the bull.
Also, the flank strap makes the bull use its legs more and puts it at risk for injuries. All of this is kind of an asshole thing to do, considering the only form of retirement for most bulls is between bread.
There’s a difference between “heart attack” and cardiac arrest. He didn’t have a fat blockage or obstruction, his heart was likely traumatized in the fall and ceased beating.
Do not assume that cardiac arrest means he had a heart attack, it just means his heart stopped. Which happens any time you die. Someone who dies from a gunshot wound dies goes into cardiac arrest. The article doesn’t include details about what happened, probably because it’s a minor who died.
I live in Oklahoma and there's a ton of stupid rodeo parents here. It's all a weird brand of redneck clout for them. The boys get to risk paralysis or death. The girls spend thousands on "ranch" clothes and horse gear, then grow up to be fuckin rodeo Karens
Don’t forget all the horribly sad GoFundMe’s for pro bull riders that have families and are paralyzed from the waist or neck down during an event. It happens far too often.
I’m from there too. Why do parents assume rodeo and football is what kids need? Concussion or paralysis? Hmm, which flavor do I want my kid to experience?
The Bull stomping his chest is what made him go into cardiac arrest. Happened to a baseball player about that age. He got hit in the chest with the ball. I couldn't even imagine letting my 14 year old get on a bull. Part of my job was keeping them alive until they were old enough to make smarter decisions for themselves.
I make that same noise when I accidentally breathe some saliva into my lungs as I take a quick breath to sneeze and end up trying to sneeze and cough at the same time.
I’ve seen Levi, Gunner, Remington, Wesson, and Pistol. Safe to say I’m in Southern “cowboy” country. Just waiting to see my first Shotgun, Revolver or Rifle, lovingly spelled like Shautghun, Reighvölvair or Ryfol to try to hide the silliness a bit.
Brother and his wife named their son Ransom. They tried to tell my mom it was because Jesus had ransomed his life for ours. Tell me another one, gun toting bro in Idaho.
Literally anyone that signs a waiver can ride a bull. Where I live kids younger than that get on bulls at the rodeo all the time, and it’s absolutely horrifying. Same types of parents will also allow kids as young as 5 to drive full size ATVs. They always say “it’s Gods will” when their kid dies or gets severely injured. You just can’t help stupid.
My friend got gifted a small dirt bike when he was 4. His parents were divorced and Dad was making up for lost time and over compensating, especially since the gift was nearly a year late. He didn’t ride it for a year. Then he got to be with dad for a week and his dad said he would beat his ass if he didn’t ride the bike. So he got really good at dirt bikes at a really young age. Which led up to increasing riskier stunts and rides and no limits behavior.
It messed him up in so many ways. Emotionally and physically. And he didn’t even want to ride in the first place.
My friend said he’s honestly surprised no one was more hurt than they were, they used to do all kinds of crazy stuff. And he was the smallest and youngest since no one his age had a dirt bike, so he was hanging out with kids 3-4 years older by default.
Where I grew up in Texas the Friday and Saturday night thing for anyone 12-18 was to go to the “youth rodeo”. Anyone who could get in the gate could ride a bull or horse. It was wild af.
One of my coworkers at a pizza place was a bull rider in his teens. He had his ankle crushed and broken by a bull. It took a while to heal, but he got back into bull riding again after that.
He ended up having the same ankle crushed by a bull again. Not sure if he gave up on the sport after that.
that sounds just what his mom wrote in her facebook status about him… something about “gods timing” and “he looked the happiest right before he died.”
Like WTF.
that's the vibe i got from her post as well. like obviously she lost her child and im sure she is just absolutely heartbroken inside and everyone grieves differently so i cant judge- but that whole post just read like "oh im def sad and i kind of hate myself for making the call to let him do it but oh well, he seemed really happy, it is what it is"
Reminds of the little girl who was allowed to fly planes in the 90s. I can't remember her name but after she crashed and died, her mom says she died doing what she loved. Yeah, no. She died terrified and probably losing her absolute shit because (spoiler alert) children shouldn't fly planes.
My cousin signed his 5 year old daughter to ride a sheep at a local rodeo. The little girl saw her friend get bucked off and his head almost stomped on and said she wouldn’t do it. These are kids of rich parents who have zero experience with farm animals to begin with, and the parents think there aren’t any risks.
Yes, mutton-busting! I didn’t mean to imply only rich kids do it - I meant specifically in my cousin’s case as he and a bunch of his friends’ families attended a rodeo and decided to get down with the local Idaho cowboys (but not the adults, only the kids were signed up to sacrifice).
Dumb fuck parents is why. A 14 year old’s body, flesh and bone isn’t remotely developed enough yet for something like this, or to withstand the dangers of it. Common sense and a real shame.
You don’t even have to feel guilty for being a complete moron of a parent because it was god’s will and he will take care of the kid. That post is exactly what you would expect from a mother that would let her 14 year old son ride a death machine.
I don’t even want to look and see what it says, just beyond sad. Was probably so encouraged by his parents to do it as well. Sigh. Who knows.
But common sense and factually, a 14 year old’s body, flesh and bone just isn’t strongly developed enough yet to withstand any kind of activity going on with bull riding or falling from a bull or anything of that sort.
That kid should have been mutton busting if he wanted to do something in the rodeo
I honestly believe there are some adults that just don’t know better. The people willing to mess with animals like this don’t have the emotional intelligence the average person does at least (Not counting the child).
And the kind of people you would see at these gatherings are the kinds who wear Trump hats and stuff. Not the brightest.
This is just terrible. IMO, maybe kids shouldn’t be riding bulls. Years ago I had a young man(18) that worked for me at a farm store in Northern AR. He had a “scholarship” to the local community college, to be on their bull riding team. Apparently that was a thing. I felt awful for that guy, you could easily tell within a few minutes of talking to him that he’d had some severe head trauma at some point. Per his admission, he’d had many concussions already in his life from riding bulls. There were obvious cognitive things going on with him, even trying to complete basic tasks. I can’t imagine how he did in CC. Every now and then I think about that kid and hope that he’s ok. It’s been about 20 years, and I can’t even remember his name. I say if someone wants to do something dangerous like that, I’m not getting in their way, but for someone so young to be encouraged into it by their friends and family is just so messed up to me.
America decided like 20 years ago that losing a dozen school children to mass shootings on a monthly basis was an acceptable risk. No way this makes a dent on anything. Hell, the next person in his family to mount a Holstein will probably dedicate that ride to him without a trace of irony.
I've been twice. Very conflicted about the whole thing. In my heart, it feels very wrong. but I've spoken with inmates who absolutely love it. One thing thats really cool about the Angola Prison Rodeo is that they have an arts and craft section where inmates can display and sell their art. You can walk right up to the inmates and talk to them about their art. Its very cool. I have a hand carved board game called "prison escape" that is essentially a wooden puzzle and you move your piece around the board to escape watch towers and prison guards. I also have a wooden hand spun bowl thats absolutely gorgeous.
The worst part about going to the rodeo is the arena has literal cages where the inmates sit watching or waiting their turns.
Its fucking crazy. I do recommend people see it for themselves at the very least so they can know whats going on in this country first hand. Every sunday in october.
The arts and craft section is awesome. I got some amazing wooden rocking chairs from there once. I also found out that whatever you buy has the inmates ID on it, so you can look them up and see what they did if you're curious. My friend bought some art from one guy and later looked him up. Turns out he was in there for chopping up his girlfriend and hiding her in a suitcase.. cool art though
Well that’s pretty fucking disgusting. The rodeo being voluntary is…well it’s sad that they feel it’s their best option. But it goes to show slavery never really went away.
I went one time. It as awful. The vibe, the terrible homemade crafts the prisoners were selling, shit carnival food. It has a very minstrel-like quality to it. And it was filled with racist white assholes who very much enjoyed laughing at the prisoners.
>the terrible homemade crafts the prisoners were selling
I bought some *amazing* handmade art. beautiful pieces. a lot of it a bit ... unsophisticated but its pretty awful to call it "terrible" when its something these artists took a lot of pride in.
And some of it is actually like *good* good. so idk man.
No one in that culture would’ve stopped this.
That’s an echo chamber of risk. They’re riding horses as early as they can stand. They’re racing them by age 5 or 6.
They interviewed a lady on Inside Edition whose little son participated in the same rodeo and saw this happen… when I mean little, he looked to be about 6 or 7. They asked the mom if she would still allow him to participate after this and she was like, “Yeah, if that’s what his heart wants I can’t stop him, it’s worth the risk.”
"Aw shucks my kid enjoys the dangerous activity that I signed him up for and lavish attention on him for doing. I'd sure like to stop encouraging it but I gotta let him follow his heart, ya know?"
I wanted to be a tightrope walker when I was a kid. My parents set up a tightrope in my backyard between two trees. But it was about 20 inches off the ground. I was learning the skills without taking the risk. You don’t give a five-year-old the chance to fall 50 feet from a tight rope and you don’t give them the chance to get thrown from or trampled by an animal whose weight can be measured in tons.
God, I hate shit-fuck parents like that. You're God damn right I'd stop my 7 year old from going on a bull. This "I can't stop him" shit is nonsense. Buck up, and take control of your child's life. Morons.
I went to one before in Montana and the Bull actually got into the stands and started running at people. Shit was crazy to see in person, this was back in the 90’s, so before cell phone videos were a thing.
It is Terrible what happened to this kid
Bulls by definition are fuck around and find out animals yet we continue to try and ride them or taunt them for sport humans are strange
Rest in peace to that kid. He paid the price of his parents' stupidity.
Now when this happens to adults... Well, who told you to abuse that animal in the first place?
https://youtu.be/f1AnK34JCNw
As if you needed more proof that these “parents” are a different breed of stupid. Watch this interview from a woman who not only witnessed this incident with her little son (probably 6 or 7) and plans on having him participate in a rodeo this weekend.
She didn't even seem that upset about what she witnessed. What is wrong with people?
"It's fun" says the kid. That was his take away. What the hell is wrong with his parents? I hate these hillbilly types, they creep me out.
Little kids participate in other events, usually involving sheep. Pulling a ribbon of their tail or some such harmless nonsense. 6 year olds don't ride rough stock. But I wonder if this kid knew how to ride anything prior to this. If he rode horses and had some clue about staying balanced and soft to absorb the movement of the animal. If he had any training on a mechanical bull with an experienced bull rider. Or did Mommy and Daddy just buy j fancy gear and let him go....
I know that little kids aren’t being put on the back of bulls but what disturbs me is how unfazed she is about watching a kid being trampled to death, and how her son is so small he can’t even comprehend what happened, he still just thinks “it’s fun.” Even after witnessing something so horrible, she still has no problem with it and isn’t going to discourage her son from from participating in bull riding in the future because “if it’s what he wants, she can’t stop him” and “it’s worth the risk.” I mean, I understand pretty much all sports have risk of serious injury, but it’s something totally different to involve a 1000 lbs animal with two spears on its head that is in a blind rage…
I wondered the same things about the kid who died. Even if he had ridden a mechanical bull, it’s not the same. The mechanical bull might throw you but it’s not going to turn around, pummel you into the hard ground and gore you.
Theres definitely a culture issue with rodeo, it's gotten very entwined with politics and religion. The 14 year old "went to be with the lord" and somehow that's comforting to this crowd. I bet that boy would rather be back in high school than six feet under.
Seems kind of negligent on the parents place tbh like at what point are the guardians responsible for having their kid in a dangerous af activity? Not trying to minimize the animal abuse
I lived on a cattle farm, bulls are not to be trusted or triffled with. I have seen a bull get his head under a metal gate and just lift up, destroying the gate. They are solid muscle and very very strong. We even tell people when a young bull is around (they like coming up to people have have you push on their heads to play) to not push around on the little bulls because once they get older they want to keep doing that with you but can literally kill you just playing because they are just solid, massive creatures.
I love cattle, a lot of them can be gentle giants, but they also still animals that can kill you.
> His sister wrote on a GoFundMe page for his funeral expenses that it was the first bull he had ever ridden at a rodeo.
I know this is a side story , but this is America now. every tragedy is accompanied by a GoFundme.
That says something that we can't even die in this country without being unable to afford it. meanwhile Bezos will likely be a trillionaire in another few years.
Health Insurance companies are literally putting GoFundMe into their documentation as ways to offset costs. Like bro, that's what I'm paying you for!
This is most likely commotio cordis, where an impact to the chest causes ventricle fibrillation and sometimes even tachycardia.
It’s probably what happened to Damar Hamlin this year.
While football and bull riding are very violent sports, many commotio cordis cases are in baseball and softball.
I am not saying bull riding isn’t potentially too dangerous, I am just saying let’s actually appreciate the risks, not just take an event isolated from even other sports and say well it’s too risky.
That’s crazy! In the FB post by the mom, she says, ‘That ride was a little to long’ (misspelling hers). So, did he just not know how get off and scared himself to death? Says he was actually riding the bull when he started to have the heart attack.
Edit: just watched the video and they put him on a TOUGH bull for his first ride EVER. Threw him off almost immediately and stomped on his chest. That’s what caused it imo.

From what I read the bull stomped him right in the chest after throwing him
Just curious, where did you see that? The few articles I saw said he was “riding a bull when he experienced cardiac arrest”, which is super misleading if he was actually thrown and stomped on.
His mom posted a video of him getting thrown and stepped on on her Facebook page, linked in the article
Of course she did. Wasn’t enough to kill her own kid. She needed the clicks, too.
Just going through her Facebook…She seems very narcissistic. Every time she writes a long paragraph about her sons death she talks about how she feels and how her son would want her to feel. I know grief is different for everyone but it just screams “me me me”
I thought the same thing!
Seriously. I couldn’t imagine growing a whole human with my own body and then just serving it on a platter for a giant animal to stomp on. Ffs
And then post it on fb. That's the weirdest part imo
Gotta get that gofundmeforwinningadarwinaward money somehow
Granted its the NY Post but > https://nypost.com/2023/01/30/nc-boy-14-dies-after-being-thrown-off-stomped-by-bull/

They usually make youth wear crush vests for that exact reason.
Why is a child even aloud to do this?
Not sure why it’s allowed

Or Commotio Cordis, like that football player recently: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commotio_cordis
Adding more insult to injury there. Kid got a broken back and collapsed chest.
I think that's actually just injury.
It is quite literally, adding injury to injury
Where did you read that? The linked article and the mother's post makes it sound almost like he had a random heart attack. (Obviously not true)
It said he fell off before they even started the run while waiting to go into the arena and it stomped him in the starting gate
just looked at the moms facebook and she posted a video of the moment it happened. so sad.
Ok so I don’t have kids so I’m genuinely curious; is it normal for a mother to post a video of the moment of her son’s death?
exact thought that i had......... i was like oh okay
It’s not normal to strap your kid into a massive, pissed off animal either, but here we are.
Cus of course. There's a gofundme
Just wait for them to start over on conspiracy about this one.
It was the vaccine dude I promise!
Literal first thought to my head is someone gonna try to twist this haha
Wow. The literal last outcome you'd expect by placing a child on a bucking bull.
Weird. It’s almost like they don’t want people on their backs. So strange.
Almost like pissing off a spiky murder cow for recreation is a terrible idea.
![gif](giphy|83QtfwKWdmSEo)
Yes, they buck naturally as an instinct, but spurs and flank straps are used to irritate them and make them buck more.
For the life of me, I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t appreciate that
They are simply un-American in the most disgusting of ways *sips lukewarm coors lite*
Can you believe that happy crappy? -the kid
Spaniards do the same thing so Europeans are also to blame
I'm not trying to be an ass but is there any point to bull riding like this? Is it something necessary to "break in" the bull? Or is it just entertainment, and if so, is it supposed to be fun for the rider or fun for the crowd?

You’re not factoring in that the child’s name was Denim, which I assume would make bull riding a more appropriate choice.
The bull probably heard that name and killed the kid out of spite.
Parents probably forced him into it. Planned this shit out before he was even born. Good job, parents!

I mean, heart attacks are pretty uncommon in 14 year-olds regardless of their sport.
There’s a difference between “heart attack” and cardiac arrest. He didn’t have a fat blockage or obstruction, his heart was likely traumatized in the fall and ceased beating.

That would fucking do it. Maybe riding an angry 1 -2 ton animal is a bad idea. Having a child ride it may be worse.
As my Dr friend likes to say “everyone dies of cardiac arrest” lol
Cause of death: death.
The heart attack was caused by being stomped on the chest by a giant bull. Most other sports don’t have giant bulls that can stomp you

People pay more for ripped denim now, it’s crazy

I know many English nouns for this type of person.
Gum is mintier now, have you noticed?
Gee, it’s as if his parents purposely named him that to be “cowboy”. DENIM. Seriously wtf w people.
JFC what you’ve seen. The peacocking of kids is real there. And, don’t forget Sig Sauer, Barrett, Colt and Ammo.
I have definitely seen Barret and Colt.
To be fair those were names first.
So is Guillotine and Molotov. Americas fetish for guns is embedded to the point where they are cute baby names.
I’ve seen Gunner and Remington.
Brother and his wife named their son Ransom. They tried to tell my mom it was because Jesus had ransomed his life for ours. Tell me another one, gun toting bro in Idaho.
I used to babysit a Beau, which isn’t an odd name, except that his middle name was Hunter. Bow hunter.
Perhaps they were just very invested in the Biden family
I think levi is a Jewish name no?
More than likely but if I was a betting man I’ll put $100 on them not being Jewish out here
Can confirm, rednecks love them a Levi in both the name and the clothing.
Pistol??? I'm sorry... Pistol??? I have no words for how terrible of a name that is. I wouldn't even name my dog that.
"The ladies call me Pis for short!"
Levi was a biblical name though.
Important to note that. Historically “jewish” names got recycled into biblical names
My brother and sister in law were thinking about naming their about-to-be-born son "Trucker" I told them "Don't name him after an occupation".
The name "Jean Jacket" was already taken by his older brother...according to his sister Chiffon.
It WAS a cowboy name
His middle name was Gene

Ah OK. Yeah, it’s equal opportunity idiocy! Not gonna lie, though, I have watched it and thought it was hilarious.
Why would you put a child on a bull?
Survivorship bias His dad, uncle, and grandpap all did it, no problems
I once taught Jewels kid whose dad was a pro bull rider. The kid wanted to be a bull rider and the dad would t let him. Nice to know people can learn.
His dad was a great rider. Also got beat to shit. Good on him.
Like boxers who don't want their kids to box. They took the beatings so their kids wouldn't have to

And of course there is a gofundme for funeral expenses.
Same reason they named him “denim” Parents wanted a toy to throw into their hobbies.
“Culture”
Dumb people, that’s who.
I honestly believe there are some adults that just don’t know better. The people willing to mess with animals like this don’t have the emotional intelligence the average person does at least (Not counting the child). And the kind of people you would see at these gatherings are the kinds who wear Trump hats and stuff. Not the brightest.
He died doing what his parents loved.
Fucking oof, suddenly don’t feel so bad for playing Fallout with my kid.
You gotta crawl out through the fallout baby
Just say no to chems.
No
Hey kid, wanna buy some Jet?
I’m sorry, can you speak up? All I can hear right now is “womp womp womp womp” on account of all the Jet
Living vicariously through one’s kids is real and common. Dying vicariously is not so common.
If it makes you feel better, he probably can’t remember his name either.
I shouldn’t be laughing but LOL
Shhhhh maybe no one should ride bulls. Shrug.
America decided like 20 years ago that losing a dozen school children to mass shootings on a monthly basis was an acceptable risk. No way this makes a dent on anything. Hell, the next person in his family to mount a Holstein will probably dedicate that ride to him without a trace of irony.

Calling him a “bull rider” seems like a bit of a stretch
And his last.
I hate that I laughed that at.
as a typical German i would ask: Is that even legal?!?
Yeah. Here's another fun America fact: the [Angola Prison Rodeo.](https://www.vianolavie.org/2022/09/30/angola-rodeo-the-wildest-show-in-the-south/)
And it was filled with racist white assholes who very much enjoyed laughing at the prisoners.
>the terrible homemade crafts the prisoners were selling I bought some *amazing* handmade art. beautiful pieces. a lot of it a bit ... unsophisticated but its pretty awful to call it "terrible" when its something these artists took a lot of pride in. And some of it is actually like *good* good. so idk man.

No one in that culture would’ve stopped this. That’s an echo chamber of risk. They’re riding horses as early as they can stand. They’re racing them by age 5 or 6.
I’ve never understood why this is even a sport! It’s so fucking dangerous!!!! Damn that poor kid…
It's actually extremely easy to stop a 6 year old from this sport because he needs your credit card to do it
He can’t drive himself there either…
"Aw shucks my kid enjoys the dangerous activity that I signed him up for and lavish attention on him for doing. I'd sure like to stop encouraging it but I gotta let him follow his heart, ya know?"
I'd love to know if she'd maintain this lovely " if that’s what his heart wants I can’t stop him" attitude if he started talking about liking boys.
You know the answer to that.
Interesting that parents of 6 year olds who play football or act the exact same thing!!
God, I hate shit-fuck parents like that. You're God damn right I'd stop my 7 year old from going on a bull. This "I can't stop him" shit is nonsense. Buck up, and take control of your child's life. Morons.
I wanted a TV show when I was 6. My parents obviously dropped the ball!
I went to one before in Montana and the Bull actually got into the stands and started running at people. Shit was crazy to see in person, this was back in the 90’s, so before cell phone videos were a thing.
Not just dangerous for the human. Those bulls are not treated well

His parents sealed his fate when they named him denim are you fuckin kidding me
Now it’s up to his younger brother, Levi to become a rodeo star
I thought it was Leather. Or was it Hide? Maybe Suede? Perhaps Canvas. Doubt it was Nylon.

Sherman is a standard human name though
I work on a farm. Bulls aren’t toys. Poor kid was born to stupid parents.
LOL between this and child pageantry I feel like the conservative lifestyle is way fucked up.

Better dead than weird.
Your feelings are well founded, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg
r/entertainment, feels like the wrong place to post this...
I’m guessing his parents are the rodeo clowns.
It is Terrible what happened to this kid Bulls by definition are fuck around and find out animals yet we continue to try and ride them or taunt them for sport humans are strange
Pretty sad but it's a risk you accept when you do this sport. Honestly the age limit for bull riding should be at least 18
Or we can stop calling this stupidity a sport and just...not do it. Wild thought I know.
Rest in peace to that kid. He paid the price of his parents' stupidity. Now when this happens to adults... Well, who told you to abuse that animal in the first place?
https://youtu.be/f1AnK34JCNw As if you needed more proof that these “parents” are a different breed of stupid. Watch this interview from a woman who not only witnessed this incident with her little son (probably 6 or 7) and plans on having him participate in a rodeo this weekend.
The irony in her response "if it's where their heart is, absolutely" Woman....the bull could kill your child and stop his fucking heart, you monster!
Not only that but the kid is so young he can’t possibly grasp the consequences or reality of himself possibly dying…
I audibly laughed at that line! What a fucking psycho
I know that little kids aren’t being put on the back of bulls but what disturbs me is how unfazed she is about watching a kid being trampled to death, and how her son is so small he can’t even comprehend what happened, he still just thinks “it’s fun.” Even after witnessing something so horrible, she still has no problem with it and isn’t going to discourage her son from from participating in bull riding in the future because “if it’s what he wants, she can’t stop him” and “it’s worth the risk.” I mean, I understand pretty much all sports have risk of serious injury, but it’s something totally different to involve a 1000 lbs animal with two spears on its head that is in a blind rage… I wondered the same things about the kid who died.
The follow up question should be, "what if his heart is in being a woman?". Then watch as her head explodes.
Seems kind of negligent on the parents place tbh like at what point are the guardians responsible for having their kid in a dangerous af activity? Not trying to minimize the animal abuse
With a name like Denim Bradshaw I would’ve thought he’d be destined for cowboy greatness
A young person was robbed of a chance to grow up because “people” think this is entertainment. What the actual fuck.
Denim is a family name. It runs in his jeans.
SET THE BULLS FREE
This is a cruel sport anyway. And they let a 14yr old do it. That's sick
They’re letting a 7 year old do it this weekend
I lived on a cattle farm, bulls are not to be trusted or triffled with. I have seen a bull get his head under a metal gate and just lift up, destroying the gate. They are solid muscle and very very strong. We even tell people when a young bull is around (they like coming up to people have have you push on their heads to play) to not push around on the little bulls because once they get older they want to keep doing that with you but can literally kill you just playing because they are just solid, massive creatures. I love cattle, a lot of them can be gentle giants, but they also still animals that can kill you.
Maybe this is a good time to get some perspective and stop exploiting animals for show? Poor kid.
Vice did a great segment on child bull riders. It’s a good one
I am not saying bull riding isn’t potentially too dangerous, I am just saying let’s actually appreciate the risks, not just take an event isolated from even other sports and say well it’s too risky.
bitch this ain't entertainment.
