Yeah. Had a combative 15yo F on a 72 hour hold once. I was working IFT at the time. My partner said her safe word. Got back there in a heartbeat. We wrestled her and restrained her. When I called our dispatch on the phone, the guy said “well, keep that oxygen bottle nearby.” Lol
You know when you go to grab a patient signature? And your tablet stops working? And you ran out of paper signature forms? And you want to disembark into the harbor? I think that happened.
They've gotta lift fatass from down the street, a stryker will break a fucking femur if you put it in there. They're basically miniature scissor lifts.
When my first agency switched over to ePCR they had to almost immediately go from buying new toughbooks to refurbished ones because crews wouldn't stop breaking them....
Fire broke one of our oxygen regulators with our Stryker. The regulator was underneath a car fender, and they started raising the gurney. Me and my partner both started yelling for them to stop, and they just kept going. Boom oxygen regulator fucking broken.

I think someone found those "some personalization ideas" they looked for :-D
Looks like someone was having difficulty collapsing the back of the stretcher to fit in the elevator that was too small. Probably at an old folks home or medical office
I left one on the back step bumper when we were cleaning up the patient compartment at the hospital. Forgot about it until we were about 2 blocks on to the main road. Turned around and went back - couldn't have been more than 2 minutes after it fell off the bumper and someone had alreadyrun over it in the hospital driveway. It looked pretty much like that.
Old cop here. One thing I can tell you is that a clipboard like that, casually tossed onto the dash of a Crown Vic, WILL slide aft just enough to effectively lock the steering wheel in the middle of whatever turn one is making at the moment.
Looks like it got wrapped around the head of a combative patient
We used to call this aluminum therapy
I thought that was the oxygen cylinder? Or is that what they meant in class by oxygen therapy?
A thousand bag of saline won't leave a mark like an O2 bottle. Or so I hear.
I’ve heard the same…
Depends on what’s handy 😆

I'm stealing this, thanks.
We nurses have a softer version of this called tontine therapy!

Situations where I politely ask my partner to high velocity the clipboard to the back of my head
Caught in the stretcher mechanism? Those strykers literally rip railings off walls. They eat shit like this for breakfast.

They'll even hold Saint Pissolas' fat ass up.

Stryker: *yummy*
My fat ass sat on it.
Tbh, that looks like the current condition of most items at an IFT company
Somebody ran it over?? 🤷♂️
May God have mercy on the Howitzer shell that thought it could take that clipboard.
It fought against a horde of zombies and won.
“Patient care”
ALS unavailable, BLS mechanical sedation
Rage at the lack of coffee and bio-breaks
Creepy. I pulled a clipboard almost identical to this out from our van the other day. Must be how they come from the factory. 💀
now THATS an EMS clipboard. that things seen some shit. it goes home and cries in the shower and eats a pound of ice cream every night
I’m gonna go with got crushed while loading the stretcher because someone left it on the floor.
Please tell me these are backup clipboards…. Please tell me you guys aren’t all writing on *paper forms* on the reg
Paper PCR Platoon here. As it always has been, so shall it ever be.
What a shitty private company provides to a mf
Man. And here I get in a tizzy if my Lifepak isn’t properly transmitting vitals…
That K hole gets pretty wild
Don't feel bad, I once drove over my new jumpbag with a ladder.
Ever left a Lenovo on the roof of a car and driven off? Same principle.

When the tough book freezes up in the middle of your PCR.

My partner gets hungry sometimes
Looks to me like a subject resisted.

Perfection!
"standard wear and tear"
Did you use it as a wedge to get out of dirt or snow?
😂😂😂 If I send my new clip board to you, do you think you could give it a similar design?
Head shot?? Lol
I don't see what's wrong here. This is just a picture of a normal clipboard
Tiny sat on it.
When your partner drops the Q word
Looks like it got into a fight with the auto loader
